Have you ever?

1. Pulled a sickie,

2. Stolen something deliberately,

3. Made love in a public place,

4. Pretended to be someone else,

5. Had an affair.

Please remember your answers do not have to be in order, you can leave us all guessing.

Unless it’s all Yes!!!!!!!

Could someone please qualify the exact conditions that qualify 'an affair'.

holcombemummy60 Sat 15-Oct-22 18:16:43

Songstress

This thread is proving very popular.

Yes Yes Yes Yes No

Not necessarily in that order. Although clearly I'm not really a character in Bleak House with a dark secret so you can take that one as a Yes.

Grandyma Sat 15-Oct-22 19:02:28

Yes to 3 of them. ?

Sago Sat 15-Oct-22 19:40:43

kittylester As OP I can make up the rules, an affair IMO is having sex with someone outside of your relationship.

Extra points if it’s in a public place?

kittylester Sat 15-Oct-22 19:46:20

Oh, that's disappointing! No to the affair one then.

Crumbs Sat 15-Oct-22 19:52:33

Freedom2017 Sat 15-Oct-22 20:56:22

Hmm, yes to all 5

J52 Sat 15-Oct-22 21:25:18

1 yes 4 nos. ?

GrauntyHelen Sat 15-Oct-22 22:09:03

4 yes 1 no

NannieDeb Sat 15-Oct-22 22:45:38

5 yes I’m afraid grin

Anneeba Sat 15-Oct-22 22:48:51

Three yes, two no.... I have a feeling I must have at some time pretended to be someone else, but can't think who or when, so have left it a 'no'. If it comes back to me I'll amend my answer ?

happycatholicwife1 Sat 15-Oct-22 23:04:52

I plead the Fifth Amendment. I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may tend to incriminate me.

madeleine45 Sat 15-Oct-22 23:13:44

3 yes 2 no

Grammaretto Sun 16-Oct-22 02:47:07

3 yes
2 no
I am shocked to read about all the affairs.
What do you mean you don't have to be married to have one?
shock

FannyCornforth Sun 16-Oct-22 04:20:49

Grammaretto I was being a bit daft when I said ‘one way or another’.
I have never been unfaithful to DH, and we’ve been together since I was 25.

MrsKen33 Sun 16-Oct-22 06:57:16

Grammaretto I think it means you didn’t know the other person was.

SolitarySpirit Sun 16-Oct-22 07:10:57

All yes from me, I’ve had a rather interesting life ?

SolitarySpirit Sun 16-Oct-22 07:15:39

No Humbertbear, not even the stealing. There were extenuating circumstances (too personal to put in a lighthearted post such as this).

FannyCornforth Sun 16-Oct-22 08:30:44

MrsKen33

Grammaretto I think it means you didn’t know the other person was.

I was going to ask this.
If you are ‘the other woman’, but aren’t aware of it, are you ‘having an affair’?
This has happened to me once.

Sago Sun 16-Oct-22 08:36:58

OP here, just to clarify if you are not aware of being. “the other woman” no it doesn’t count.
You have to be fully aware you have a partner and should probably not be doing what you’re doing.
I’m not judging!
Just making up the rules as we go along!
