Good Morning ,
Its dark but dry outside here in brackley this morning.
The day went to plan yesterday as to Buckingham and Bicester , today a quiet day at home ,and prepare my lunch in the air fryer today ,jacket potato and steak plus spinach .
Weight wise slowly creeping up , but felt very sprightly when walking yesterday shows iron infusion is working .
Take Care,
Mick

Just had news of Ash from olddudders. She was taken off the ventilator around 11 pm and was up by 7am. He’s on his way to visit her ATM. Brilliant!

Thank you folks for your kind messages.

Lovely lunch in art nouveau surroundings.

Made special by my grandsons sending us a Whatsapp fromMajorca where they had just arrived for a week of fun and games, including swimming and playing with the other kids. They left Heathrow in pouring rain and are now basking in sunshine on the island. I’m a tiny bit envious but in a nice way.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Glad you have more energy Mick, that’s heartening.
I was due to meet a friend in the city today but although the cold is on the way out, I’m coughing a lot so will catch up like yesterday on neglected stuff like a little ironing, making smoothies to freeze etc.
Thoughts to Georgesgran and anyone else with worries.
Making marks as they say, with oil pastels.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s raining heavily in this corner of Lancashire. Good to hear you’re feeling better Mick.

I heard from the hospital yesterday, I now have 2 hospital appointments. CT scan next Friday morning and ophthalmology appointment next Friday afternoon.

Right now I’m sat up in bed enjoying a large mug of tea, this is getting to be a habit! We have nothing planned for today so no need to rush. Usual Sunday brunch of bacon rolls and a couple of hours listening to the radio. Baked potatoes in the air frier later, just need to decide what to have with them. We have some chicken breast and plenty of veg in the freezer, so that sounds like a good plan and not too taxing.

What a lovely way to start your day Shazza smile.

Enjoy your holiday Grandmadinosaur.

Virtual hug Marydoll, I hope your domestic staff are keeping you supplied with tea and tasty snacks. I can watch steam trains from my window but I don’t think they’re running today. They are having a big Hallowe’en event next weekend with ghost trains and a murder mystery!

Lovely to see you here Multicolourswapshop and that’s wonderful news about your DH. He certainly looks well in the photo.

Georgesgran flowers hope you can rest today after such a stressful time.

Happy Anniversary NanKate ??

Safe journey to any travelling. Hope all who are seeing family have a lovely time.

Wishing everyone a good day, may we all find a ? or ?? today.

Your lunch sounds delish, Mick; so pleased things are improving for you. My pull-out larder cupboard is a shocker, karmalady! Have a brilliant time in Ibiza GMdinosaur. “Elbows like razors” - love it!
? There a quite a few of us who adore steam trains.

Happy 51st WA NanKate. ???
Grandmabatty I’d love to learn how to make stovies in a slow cooker. If you’ve a spare minute…

No lull here in our bit of Sefton Nanna garra. A wet DH has just returned from his morning walk with a very soggy doggy. ?that your lull reaches here soon as we are off pumpkin picking 'just down the road' in about half an hour.

Jaxjacky Sun 23-Oct-22 09:52:13

Happy Anniversary NanKate ??

Taichinan Sun 23-Oct-22 09:42:50

Happy anniversary NanKate - have a lovely day. It was a bright start here on the Angus coast, but everywhere is very wet and there's rain forecast for later.
After the mist/fog lifted yesterday it turned into a glorious autumn day, warm enough to sit down by the pond with my coffee after a good while chatting to Lovely Gardener. However, when it was time to take myself off to the beach, the fog began to roll back in off the sea, so that was that. Strange weather - and strange times.
Good to hear you have a bounce in your step Mick, but sorry you're still poorly Marydoll. I hope all the family gatherings planned for today and next week are happy and successful. Have a happy hol Grandmadinosaur.

Good morning from W Kent, woken by thunder and lightning.
Phone calls to do today and cook lunch. Not sure if we will get a walk today.
Hope you feel better soon Marydoll
Glad the infusion is working Mick
Happy Anniversary NanKate
Best wishes to all

Grammaretto Sun 23-Oct-22 09:32:50

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Cloudy but dry
I must do some paperwork today. note to self
I am too easily distracted and a df has asked for help with her family history.
The apple garden party was good. There were also chestnuts cooking on the fire. With apple pies and mulled juice, it was a real Autumn celebration.

Congratulations to Abitbatty how special to have twins in the family, but hard work.

I hope you have a better day Marydoll flowers

I'm glad the medicine is working Mick

My dear Sis fell down stairs and bashed her head on Friday. She looks awful but says it's not too bad.

Look after yourselves everyone.

Nannagarra Sun 23-Oct-22 09:26:36

There’s a lull in the rain on the Sefton coast as I bid everyone good morning.
Alizarin has asked me to send you all a ?.
As I’ve yet to read your messages I’m unaware of your plans but hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Good morning from a very wet Leicestershire, thunderstorms are forecast.

A Scrabble afternoon today instead of our usual walk, then roast beef for dinner.

Happy Anniversary NanKate.
I hope you feel better soon Marydoll.
Seeing DD will be a tonic kitty I am sure.
Sending all those with cares and worries lots of hugs.

NanKate Sun 23-Oct-22 09:13:22

Good morning Mick and All.

Hope you feel somewhat better today Marydoll ?

It’s our 51st Wedding Anniversary today. ?? I can remember saying to my mum when organising the wedding. ‘We only want a small family wedding’ to which my her reply was ‘No we don’t want people to think you are hiding anything’. Thank heavens views have changed so much now. Off to the Ivy for lunch. I’ve made DH read the menu beforehand as he often takes an age to decide. ?

Gala Sun 23-Oct-22 09:05:24

Good morning from a very wet Sefton which is unfortunate as we're off to pick pumpkins with our 2 DGDs.... aged 3 & 4.... they don't notice the rain. Best dig out the wellies, it's a big muddy field. Lunch after at the Golden Arches. Then recover quietly at home.
Yesterday's children's fundraising activity trail was a bit of a nightmare. Parking on the park's perimeter road was difficult & the trail itself was heaving. Many, many children, babies, buggies, dogs & accompanying entourages of adults. Many in fancy dress - there was a Halloween theme. And lots of dinosaurs!? We got round it all eventually. Our DGD's favourite activity seemed to be collecting sticks! My feet were glad to get home. I hope they raised a lot of money.

Positive thoughts & ((hug)) to those with worries & struggles.

Urmstongran Sun 23-Oct-22 09:02:05

Finally!

EkwaNimitee Sun 23-Oct-22 08:59:58

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle where the heavy rain you are getting down south is due here by lunchtime.
Therefore, I'm staying in to read the papers, train my brain and generally idle about. And keep track of the latest instalment of the no.10 soap opera.
Yesterday I went out in heavy rain after breakfast, by the afternoon I was working in the garden in warm sun, in late October!

Good news Mick, glad you're feeling sprightly.

Lovely photo Multi. Like that wallpaper!

Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.
