Hi Shazza and Blossoming.
Grandmachrisy... New girls together. !!!!
Monk.... I'm in West Somerset.... It's beautifully sunny here just now. I've just rearranged the lady cave ( my shed as oppose to the man cave...big shed) so I can put away the outdoor cushions... Hence why I am now having a cup of tea sitting just on the chair base and knowing for sure if I go and get a cushion out again the heavens will open. I hope everyone is having a Happy Monday.

Hi everyone! Late today from a dry Co Armagh, I’m watching the big Ash tree shedding leaves, it’s like it’s raining leaves

BlueBalou Mon 24-Oct-22 12:09:13

Good just-about-afternoon to everyone from a drying out Wiltshire, golly we had monsoon-like rain yesterday!
DS, DDIL and DGCs have gone to a park near here to tire the boys a bit (optimism abounds!), I’m enjoying the peace and thinking about making an apple crumble for supper tonight.
I hope you all have a lovely day x

ShazzaKanazza Mon 24-Oct-22 10:49:05

Good Morning to you Naughtyneine ? lovely to see you on here and in Soop’s kitchen x

Welcome to you too Grandmachrisy47?

?Naughtyneine where are you?

Blossoming Mon 24-Oct-22 10:35:52

Hello there Neine ??

Naughtyneine Mon 24-Oct-22 10:30:10

Can I apply to say Hello too? I love reading all your posts... It's like a whistlestop tour round the UK...

Good morning from a damp slightly windy Glasgow.

I am dreading the clocks changing, mostly the lack of daylight which takes away my choice of going out later in the afternoon as I no longer want to drive in the dark. It really does curb my freedom. Must give myself a shake and stop moaning about trivialities.

So disappointed for you Marydoll but hopefully another date in the near future can be arranged. ?
What a time of it you and your family are going through Georgesgran. I have never known a GP refuse to see a child, especially a baby when a call has been made to the surgery, shocking treatment and maybe time for your DD to change GPs. Hoping your DD and the baby are on the mend soon.
Sorry to hear you are having unsettling times Oops I do hope things will be smoothed over soon.
I know what a drag it is having to rest for so long kitty but it’s a necessary bore you will have to endure for a bit longer. Look after yourself.

Hoping a pleasant day is ahead for all especially those pushing through troubling times.

Grammaretto Mon 24-Oct-22 10:24:50

What a worry for you Georgesgran . I hope the wee one makes a quick recovery and so does DD. flowers.

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 24-Oct-22 10:17:32

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
I slept in this morning but took a long time to get to sleep, so hopefully I’ll be fine today. Probably going into town, got to look for an upgrade for my MacBook!!
Georgesgran I’m disgusted with the was your DGS is having to suffer.
Taichinan labrynthitis is very unpleasant, hope your DD recovers soon.
Glad you are being cared for Marydoll, The Forth Bridge will wait for you to feel better.
I got fair drookit going to church yesterday, today we will have rain but not as much
Have the best day possible folks

ShazzaKanazza Mon 24-Oct-22 10:13:24

Hi again. The rain is holding off at the moment.

Georgesgran what a worry for you for you at the moment with your dear family ?

Taichinan DGD is a funny little thing. DH was playing Chess on his phone and he was talking her through the moves. He got out the chess set and he again talked her through a game. By the morning she could get herself out of check. So cute. He’s going to teach her to play.

Taichinan Mon 24-Oct-22 10:09:12

And this is my last PS, I promise! Hollysteers I didn't see the painting you posted yesterday until last night and just wanted to say how lovely it is. Talented lady!

Taichinan Mon 24-Oct-22 10:06:23

How time flies hulahoop - I've been here for more than 25 years now and I just don't know where the years have gone!

hollysteers Mon 24-Oct-22 10:06:12

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Getting back to normal after the stinking cold, practised new songs yesterday, wrote letters which I enjoy as they did in Ye Olden days, ironed some summer stuff to go away, drew a picture and watched a middling film “Little Men” (as in Little Women) from the 40s.

Off for supplies soon. Ran out of cat food, but found a pouch lurking ar the back of the cupboard.
Thoughts to Georgesgran. What a worrying situation our NHS is in!

Taichinan Mon 24-Oct-22 10:02:52

Crossed posts with you too Georgesgran. I hope something gets sorted with your poor little GS. I know all GPs are relying on telephone consultations these days, but I really do believe the very young should be in their priority lists for face-to-face consults. I hope all turns out well soon x

hulahoop Mon 24-Oct-22 10:02:36

Good morning from West York's it's not raining at the moment but rained overnight. Just housework on the agenda today ,oh has x-ray this afternoon .We got some new neighbours yesterday a young family they seem friendly ,when we moved here we were the young family now it's the opposite .

Taichinan Mon 24-Oct-22 09:54:54

Good morning everyone from yet another misty murky morning on the Angus coast. This is taking the "season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" thing a bit far now! I don't envy people with heavy rain though - DS said he was soaked to the skin on the morning dog walk yesterday (Lincs) and reckoned he hadn't dried out by evening!
Shazza thank you! I did laugh at the remarks of your little GD - she sounds quite a little character! And barmy what wonderful times lie ahead with the little twins - you'll enjoy every minute!
Enjoy your social AGM this evening Ash before your compulsory quiet week ahead. And thank you for the lovely photo of Ibiza, Grandmadinosaur.
DD was away on a gettogether with some Scottish WAY (Widowed and Young) members at a sort of outward bound place in highland Perthshire this past weekend. She works full-time with the charity so will have been a big part of the organisation of the family event. BUT - on the first morning she woke up with Labrynthitis, so that put paid to that for her, poor girl! After finding a doctor she spent the rest of the time there in bed - taking seasickness tablets - until she could locate two people who could take her home, one to drive her and the other to drive her car. Luckily she had her DD2, a very caring and able 17yo, with her, so that made things a bit better for her. But what a time for that to happen!
Right, now off I go to 'get things done' but to do I know not what. I hope the poorly have a better day, and those with half-term granny duties enjoy their time with the wee ones.

luluaugust Mon 24-Oct-22 09:54:37

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. Very nice to see DD2 yesterday who popped in for a chat with us. Today a little light cleaning and tidying I think, maybe a walk into town.
Georgesgran I do hope you get something sorted out for your DGS, what a mess it all is.
Best wishes to all

Susy2 Mon 24-Oct-22 09:44:23

Sunny Essex at the moment. Good start for half termers.
Up early as the garden project goes on and didn't want to get caught out in my pj's.
Cake in the oven before 9.30am. A record for me. When it comes out I'll go into Chelmsford for a free exhibition called Gaia.

Blossoming Mon 24-Oct-22 09:38:50

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cool and cloudy in this corner of Lancashire.

Housework, physio exercises and Gaelic studies today, I’m really enjoying the DuoLingo lessons.

GrandMattie I don’t know how you cope! That really is above and beyond.

Wishing everyone a good day, may we all find a ? or ?? today.

EkwaNimitee Mon 24-Oct-22 09:20:43

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle where the sun is still feeling a bit shy.
Yesterday the rain arrived from down south at midday exactly, so an indoors afternoon of reading resulted.
This morning is housework and laundry and I still have the weekend papers scattered about to finish off later. I got caught up in my new book instead yesterday.
I must get on and re-book my car service and book myself a flu jab and hope the latter won't prove as troublesome as my recent covid one.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Urmstongran Mon 24-Oct-22 09:13:40

X posts Georgesgran you have a lot of family anxiety at present. ?

Urmstongran Mon 24-Oct-22 09:10:04

No Matt = Monday.

“Oh what a beautiful morning oh what a beautiful day! tra la ...”
? ?

Good morning everyone from Málaga where we have a gorgeous start to the day. The sunniest morning since we’ve been here! I can’t believe we’ve had one week already.

The day and it’s possibilities stretches ahead. Lucky us.
We will go out & abouting somewhere as it’s too nice not to. The washer is on at the moment and breakfast calls.

Have a good day all who can. Sorry to hear about the family upset yesterday Oops it can happen in the best of. Love the Ibiza photo Grandmadinosaur! I can only imagine your disappointment Marydoll right now. Hopefully it’ll just be a temporary re-set. x

Georgesgran Mon 24-Oct-22 09:05:52

Good morning from Durham. It’s currently dry but everywhere is sopping wet.
DD2 was discharged on Saturday, but quite unwell yesterday and has a Hospital Appointment this afternoon to have her dressings seen too. DGS2 seems to have a relapse of his viral throat infection. They are registered with what must be the most useless GP practice in the UK - they won’t even see a 16 month old who was an A&E admission only eight days ago!! Words fail me!
They are waiting for a callback, so I am on standby. What a start to a new week.
Best wishes to all. X
