Today I will visit Bicester again whilst I have the opportunity , I have anther double appointment next month , I have a Glaucoma check in outpatients at Horton in Banbury , but had a call yesterday they want me to go to the pre op to give more blood samples prior to that appointment , so will be a very early start due to bus cuts to meet that appointment .
Take Care,

Good morning all and we have a beautiful sunrise here on the Suffolk coast.

It’s lovely to be back by the sea and the weather is due to be good. ?. Gardening is on the agenda and I’ve just noticed one of the sheds roof covering is coming loose. I don’t really want Dh climbing ladders as he’s getting very unbalanced. A phone call to our lovely handiman !

We need to find a plasterer as we are stripping wallpaper from a small lounge and the plaster is so old and crumbly, it needs replacing. Easier said than done around here.

We’ll walk little pooch along the beach and then do a couple of hours work.

Hoping today is a good one for all. ?

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and dry. No need for the heating on this morning. Monk that sounds really painful. Ash so nice you got to see your family.
Yesterday I was at a still life art workshop and really enjoyed it. There were a number of different people there too which was also nice. I work in pastels but I'm going to go back to acrylic on my tutor's advice.
Today I'll visit mum. My friend is still away in her caravan. That's all I have planned. I'm not sure what the afternoon will bring. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from a very rainy Glasgow, where its currently 13°C.

DH is taking me for lunch at the golf club, with DD and SIL, who are off this week. It means I don't have to cook dinner! That's the best bit!
Yesterday was a bit stressful, a gridlocked town centre, road closures, no parking spaces at 9am, DH couldn't remember his appointment time, and the opticians forgot to make DH's second pair of glasses.?
On a more positive note, we had to kill time in a charity shop and DH picked up the three latest Ian Rankin Rebus books, all hardback and unread!
This is despite DH having no interest in charity shops and declining to rummage with me!
There is a thread running just now about thermal tops and I managed to pick up a brand new Damart one, in a beautiful mauve shade for £4.
I guess it wasn't too much of a disaster after all.
I did the usual, came home and fell fast asleep, due to the exertion!

It will be pointless, but it's now fifteen weeks since my gastroscopy and still no biopsy results, so I may phone my GP.
Until the results come back, I cannot have any RA meds, never mind the new ones, for fear of causing further damage to my stomach. I am in limbo.

For those with hospital appointments, I hope they go well. Enjoy your time with your family, if you have plans.
Have the best day you can, Don't put off plans, if you can do them today. You never know what is waiting round the corner! ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 26-Oct-22 08:24:50

Morning all from West Oxfordshire, I’ve only just woken up so I must have needed the sleep!

Marydoll - you must ring your GP. That long wait for results really isn’t satisfactory.

We are off to Oxford today for the Pre-Raphaelite (sp) exhibition and lunch. Should be good. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a fairly warm N. Bucks.
I’m in this morning expecting a parcel delivery and the window cleaners.
This afternoon is my last watercolour classic this session. Hopefully we will be doing more in the New Year.
This evening a WI committee meeting.
DD3 and family arrived safely in Tenerife last night after a 2 hour delay so the little ones were very tired. Hopefully they will get a good rest before the countdown of their house move.
Good luck to all with appointments and those waiting for results.
Hope today is good for all with a smile along the way.

Another good morning from S Lanarkshire, planning to walk to church but it doesn’t look very inviting outside.

I was supposed to take DB and SiL out for lunch yesterday to thank him for help in the garden but he woke up with a ‘dicky’tummy so we’ve rescheduled for two weeks time.

Today it’s exercise class again and a good catch up afterwards.

I caught up last night with yesterday’s thread so welcome to the new posters. That is a real disappointment Marydoll about your cancelled break away, you’ve written before about your enjoyment of the Forth Road and Rail bridges and that part of the country. I hope you feel well enough soon to be able to rebook before winter sets in.

Better get moving now, I can feel procrastination, ‘my besetting sin’ as Anne of Green Gables says, setting in so best wishes to all for a good day.???

GrannySomerset Wed 26-Oct-22 08:36:29

Leisurely start this morning as a domestic day beckons. Need to finish tomorrow’s book group offering so that will occupy most of the time. Final work on the drive I hope which will be great - looks wonderful but has been such a protracted business.

Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast Northampton. Had a bit of a lie-in this morning, just taken my weekly tablet, and now waiting till I can have my tea.

A new route for our health walk afternoon extended it by 20 minutes, and we walked at a faster pace, which made me feel very out of breath. I really enjoyed my coffee and sit-down in the cafe afterwards! The company was good, and we spent an hour chatting over our drinks.

A sweet and sour chicken to prepare this morning for the slow cooker, then book club this afternoon. Looking forward to the home-made cakes which one of our members has made for the occasion - she has made two, a lemon drizzle and a sticky ginger!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from s somerset and it is not a nice day, ground is sodden, skies are grey and it is blowing a hoolie

I shall be back to read all these gentle posts later, while I am nibbling my 100% chocolate

I decided to get back to making kefir and spent on a kit, which appears to make kefir without as much faff. Once the outlay is paid for then I think I will save at least £6 a week, it will be organic and may well lead to soft cheese as well. Live grains ordered. Last time it was jars and muslin and a strainer and a bit messy

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather dark Carlisle where the storm clouds are gathering...just in time for my imminent departure for a flu jab. I don't think I'll be lingering in town after though I've one or two minor errands to carry out.
Lovely photo Pittcity. I lived in Colchester during my teens but my former home on an army estate seems to have gone.

Have a pleasant day all.

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Oct-22 08:52:42

Good morning from a rather wet and windy S Yorks.

I'm having a dressing gown day: as no must do's for the first time in ages.

But might get interrupted by a trip to Sainsbugs to get some meds, include a coffee, and try and resist the TU clothing. Upstairs lurks a small attic space which needs serious sorting and shedding work, too! Or if it brightens up a run out to catch some fresh air from nearby High Peak ridges. Counselling went well yesterday.

Best wishes today for those and loved ones facing medical matters be it jabs or other appointments.. and if you need appointments, that you get them!
Travel safely if you are on the roads. enjoy DGC but don't exhaust yourselves! Little wave of envy Urmston but enjoy!

Monk big ouch on the eye front, I hope it goes down or you can get blood pressure treatment asap.

Good morning all from Ibiza. Late up today grrr that's what sitting up till gone midnight having a wine or two in our balcony does to me.

We had a really nice day yesterday. We had a drive to Cala san Vicente just up the coast. It’s my favourite beach on the island, I was quite surprised to see a party of young schoolchildren on the beach. We had a late lunch at a lovely restaurant there. It was a place that was bustling and busy with a lovely atmosphere, tables filled as soon as they came empty, delicious food and such friendly staff. Perfect.

Today we are minding the GC while the parents go to the Hippy Market. We’ve been there done that and I don’t think it’s ideal with a pram etc, I think we are going to take them to the beach or maybe the pool. I think a siesta will be required later!

Will catch up with reading then threads after breakfast. I hate getting up late.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from Glasgow where it is damp after a recent heavy rainfall and a very heavy sky looks like another downpour is on the cards, a lot milder than of late though.

I had an enjoyable visit to DD1;and the girls, firstly to see her newly installed windows, she has gone for a cobalt exterior, white interior and her dream, a bifold door. Very smart and so mild and sunny, we had coffee in the garden to hear how fabulous the Robbie Williams concert was.
DH has been having problems with pain and tightness around a sutured area of his neck which was rather worrying, I phoned our surgery and we were told to come straight down. Our GP thoroughly examined the area, fortunately, no infection and gave DH a steroid cream to ease the pain whilst the tissue recovers and settles. We both have an appointment with his speech therapist later today.

The garden is covered in a beautiful display of autumn leaves from the cherry trees but far too wet for me to play with my leaf blower.? I do enjoy playing with all the bits in the tool shed. #Tomboy still.

Hopefully a good day is ahead for all.

A late good morning from me. The sun is shining and it feels warm in Essex by the sea.

I have made a fruit cake and it is cooking as we speak. I haven't made one for months so DH will think it's his birthday.

He had to leave early to take the car for a service. A friend is picking him up from the garage as there is no public transport anywhere close.

Homemade lasagne for dinner tonight, my domestic goddess has reared her head today.

DD1 and her three girls are going to stay with DD2 and her two for a few days. I hope there are no cross words. I think they have Halloween themed things planned.

Have a very pleasant Wednesday everyone. I will now go back and read what you have all been doing. xxx

ShazzaKanazza Wed 26-Oct-22 09:23:02

Monk08 sorry to hear about your eye it sounds very uncomfortable. Hope it goes down soon ?

Grandmadinosaur your holiday sounds heavenly x

Georgesgran Wed 26-Oct-22 09:28:53

Good morning from a bright Durham. An early start, to drop my DF at the airport, going for a three week stay with her elder brother. We are great friends and I’ll miss her, but she has an obsession with her health which I certainly won’t miss!
I’m heading into Tesco and will call around to see DD2 and her little one. He seems to be on the mend and nursery are taking him for more hours, but I am very concerned about the post procedure wound she has on her left foot, which is just a gaping hole.
I’ll read all the posts when I have time later but meanwhile best wishes to all. X

luluaugust Wed 26-Oct-22 09:46:42

Good morning from W Kent, where it is very damp under foot but the sun is shining.
Off to our local Age UK centre who are dolling out hearing aid batteries. I have only used a village library location before so not sure what to expect. I was hoping DH and I would then have a run out in the car but apparently 3 deliveries are expected so I am thinking what I might do.
Best wishes to all.

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Oct-22 09:53:15

Grandmadinosaur

want to be on a warm beach..sigh...there will be a whole host of Gransnet Earlies arriving on the magic carpet soon, be warned.

Naughtyneine Wed 26-Oct-22 09:59:40

Morning everyone...I woke up to the sound of heavy rain but it's all cleared now and the sun is shining here in West Somerset now. DOH has taken my car to work ... His company car has arrived so I will get the bus in to bring mine home. The big garden centre close to his work has an offer on....10 free Tete a Tete daffs when you spend £5 .. So I may pop in there and see if for the first time ever I can spend just £5 in a garden centre. I am slowly ploughing my way the change over from Summer clothes to Winter....the cull hasn't got very far yet so I may have to have another go today...or I could just spend longer at the garden centre. Mmmm dilemma

Late good morning from a right NE.
Slept late ecause it was another late night/early morning, 3am again before I put the light out.
SIL coming to take me shopping, must remember to get some Halloween sweeties for GDs.
Did some pruning of geraniums and lavender on the patio, they are still flowering and have been beautiful this year. Not so happy with the spent rockets I found on the patio, fireworks already ?
Take care all Nd have the best day you can.

Nannagarra Wed 26-Oct-22 10:23:39

Good morning from a damp S Hants (SunshineSally?). Flu jab later today, hope there’s not an hour’s queue as there was for Covid, if so, I’ll need to reschedule, my back is not quite sorted.
MrJ was going to cut the grass, but it’s too wet, the weeds and grass are loving the mild temperatures.
Need to do a small shop later and have a delivery due.
Enjoy your day ??

Blossoming Wed 26-Oct-22 10:49:26

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s currently cool and bright in this corner of Lancashire. It was dark and raining when I got up.

Hope your appointments go well Mick

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely sunny day and I was able to get out for a slow meander along the riverside. So many beautiful Autumnal colours.

Wishing everyone a good day ?

Taichinan Wed 26-Oct-22 10:56:00

Monk I do hope that poorly eye clears up soon - sounds horrid ?

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 26-Oct-22 11:21:28
