Hi everybody, I wonder if you can help please. I am trying to find a thread but having no luck with search engine.

Anyway, sometime ago a poster on here purchased a beautiful metal sculpture for her garden (think it was a birthday treat for herself). She included a link of the artist. Several posters loved the work and I think a couple may have purchased items too. I vaguely recollect it was an artist possibly in Devon? Or somewhere in that vicinity? Sorry I am being so vague, I know it’s a long shot. If anybody remembers I should be most grateful to hear from you. Very many thanks,

Was it Susan Long Sculptures? She exhibited at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in July and I love her sculptures. I did look through various threads, but couldn’t find the one you refer to. Good luck! ?

I do remember the post but not which Gran it was who bought the artwork. I think the post was on the Soops kitchen thread. If you ask on there someone may remember who it was.

Hi there NanKate here.

Well I’m happy to say Waterloosunset with Fanny’s help you have tracked me down.

I am still thrilled with Hero the heron and here he is in our small walled garden. He was sculpted by Daren Greenhow his website is [email protected]

Please tell him you have found him through Gransnet. Although not cheap at £197 he was hundreds cheaper than the other sculptures. He even delivered it. I live in South Bucks and he is in Wales!

Do let us see what you choose.

Here’s another photo that is clearer.

Just taken a look. I love the birds!

I purchased an owl on a garden fork, which is very cute and has weathered well with no rust. My sculpture was posted to me in Oxfordshire and packaged very securely with no extra charge. He has since added a barn owl to his gallery which I love, but cannot justify spending the money.
Enjoy choosing!

Thank you so much NanKate, Fanny and all!

As I said to Fanny, I would like to put something in my garden - in memory of my precious, beautiful cat who died yesterday. I thought rather than having a plant, a sculpture would be beautiful alternative. I will check out his website. Thank you all so very much x

I’m so sorry to hear about Puss Waterloo. What a lovely tribute having a sculpture in memory of your pet. Garden centres have cheaper sculptures but imo they are not as nice.

Thanks Shysal for putting the correct website on this thread. ?
