Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark and its raining here in brackley at the present moment .
Yesterdays plan went according to what I stated I saw many changes as to HS2 and also the EWR with construction in full swing.
Buckingham town centre was quiet , I had a coffee at a cafe I had not been in for awhile , but Fish & Chips take away prices seem to have sky rocketed .
Today , I hope to go via Buckingham to Bicester , and then return direct with plans for a breakfast bap in my favourite cafe there if the past year is anything to go by they will be dressed in Halloween costume , prior to doing my usual routine .
Must remember the clocks go back tonight .
Take Care,
Mick

Thank you Kalu for the update on MaryDoll.
Sorry you are feeling so unwell MaryDoll keep safe and rest as advised.
I've been missing Gransnet for a few days so have not been aware you have been so poorly. Love and prayers xxx

Gingster you brought back lovely memories of a few days we spent staying at The Ship at Dunwich, walking the heath and bird watching at Minsmere. I painted a picture of boats on the beach but left out Sizewell B! It hangs on my staircase.

Good afternoon, Mick and all, from a damp Lanarkshire.

I'm just home from a drizzly park walk with my sisters.

Thank you, Kalu and Shazza for the updates on Marydoll. 💐🙏 Rest, rest, rest!

Thinking of all with worries, illness or sorrow.

Enjoy holidays and family meet ups.

Wishing everyone the best weekend possible, take care.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s raining heavily in this corner of Lancashire.

Yesterday’s appointments went well. The CT scan was very quick and my surgeon will contact me with the results. The eye exam was very thorough and very long and tiring. Lots of measurements taken, the cataract in my right eye is quite bad and the vision loss it’s causing is exacerbated by the existing damage. They will arrange an appointment for further tests and to speak to a consultant regarding treatment options.

Happy Anniversary to Ashcombe and Olddudders 🥂🍾. Hope all goes well tomorrow *

I see that Kalu has updated us re. Marydoll, I too hope she is behaving herself and resting!

Wishing everyone a good day whatever you’re doing. 🌺🌺🌺

Good morning Mick and all from a rainy northwest coast.
I hate to think of the havoc this new train line is causing to the countryside Mick.
Quiet day today, art all yesterday morning and run through with band in the afternoon. Our guitarist is Speedy Gonzales and needs to slow down for the more romantic stuff!
DS coming over tomorrow with part to fix my broken electric windows in car. They are taped up at the moment to stop the rain getting in..
Grandmattie you have been amazingly kind.
Hope you all have a good day and thoughts to those with troubles.

🌺🌺🌺 for Marydoll.
Hello from a damp West Oxfordshire. Elder son, his partner and my granddaughter are here for the weekend. I’m picking our daughter up a little later. I think there will be pumpkin carving at some point!

Good Morning from N.,Cambs., It's trying to brighten up now after a gloomy start & rain overnight.
Enjoy your time with your Cambridge family, brook, (no swimming lessons for our DGDs today, they've been staying with us this half-term week!)
Happy anniversary Ashcombe & your DH. I hope all goes well for you next week.
You really are a good friend, grandMattie, take care of yourself.
Warm wishes to you all, especially those who are poorly, including Marydoll.

grandMattie Sat 29-Oct-22 10:37:15

Thanks for the update Kalu

Just finished a phone chat with Marydoll. She really isn’t feeling too good and is following doctor’s orders to rest. Before we finished our blether, I reminded her to do as she was told!
She will be joining us again whenever she feels a bit perkier.

GrannySomerset Sat 29-Oct-22 09:57:17

Grey and damp here with an empty day ahead - but no more workmen, which is a Good Thing. Need to totter up to the village for one or two bits and pieces but nothing planned. Think I need an energy transfusion.

I too noticed that the wonderful Marydoll has been missing and, as we all do, hope for some positive news of her soon. And of everyone who is up against it at present.

Stilllearning Sat 29-Oct-22 09:01:57

Another good morning from S Lanarkshire, looks dull but calm outside.

Happy Anniversary Ashcombe and olddudders and good luck with your opp., I hope everything goes as planned and you are restored to full health.

Sorry to hear that Marydoll is so poorly, I hope this particularly bad spell passes soon.

Chatty lunch today with two friends planned and a fair bit of tidying to do before I go so I’ll push on. I’ve read wistfully about your holiday Grandmadinosaur, I too love Santa Eulalia.

Hope your nausea etc clears up soon baubles, no joy working when you feel like that.

Wishing everyone a good weekend ???

Good morning from a very still, damp Glasgow. A few tiny snags kept me in Perthshire for one more day where internet connection isn’t reliable. Something to be addressed at a later date, enough busyness for a while as I need to recharge my batteries.

I hope you are feeling some signs of progress kitty. From being bored waiting for my hip to repair I am now running on empty, delighted to say, not a lot happening here today, busy doing nothing.
Happy Anniversary Ash&Olddudders

Hoping a good day is ahead for all.

Chrissielou Sat 29-Oct-22 08:54:08

A bit of a dismal start here in Oxfordshire. Ashcombe happy anniversary and I hope all goes well for your op on Monday.
Dog walking and housework today, some baking and cooking needed too for vegan DS1 who is coming for the day tomorrow.
I hope you all find some sunshine today.

NannyJan53 Sat 29-Oct-22 08:49:18

Good morning from a dull and wet Black Country.

Happy Anniversary to Ashcombe & Olddudders hopefully your Op will happen, and you can be together soon.

Ordered a rail card recently. As I wear Hearing Aids I could order the disabled one for £20 (Senior ones are £30). Not only can I have a 1/3rd discount on rail travel, but an adult travelling with me can. Saves MrJ buying one now smile I thought this info may be helpful to anyone here wearing hearing aids.

Hoping Marydoll is feeling better and can be back with us soon.

No real plans today, just go with the flow. Had a lovely lunch with DD yesterday.

Gosh your DD is certainly going through it Gingster it's always a worry when our children have difficult times, so good that you are there for her.

Have a good day everyone

grandMattie Sat 29-Oct-22 08:49:09

The ugly ramp…
Gwenisgreat1, DL has had her offer accepted on that flat. Everything is in hand, with the estate agent chasing the solicitor l. Every one hopes that she will move in on the first week of December. She has to be out of here by then….
Two months is plenty kindness from me. I need to learn to live alone, and she needs to learn to live with her disability.

Urmstongran Sat 29-Oct-22 08:42:34

Here’s Matt.

A short and sweet good morning everyone from sunny Málaga where t’internet is sluggish right now. Himself will be watching Rangers this afternoon so my plan is to sunbathe on our little balcony and make a few phone calls to chat with family and friends. Remember the days of buying, writing and sending postcards? We will eat out tonight.
Happy Days!

Gingster Sat 29-Oct-22 08:40:08

Good morning all and it’s bright with a bit of a breeze here at the Suffolk seaside.

Yesterday we walked the dog at Dunwich and ended up having fish and chips at the very popular cafe on the beach. Pricey at £25.50 for two fish and chips, and two teas. But soooo delicious! Best Ive had since last year , when we visited. It really was a treat! Doesn’t hurt once in a while, Mick so enjoy!

We continued to strip wallpaper which leaves us ‘cream cracker ed’ . Just one wall left to do.
Dh is going to footie this afternoon and I will sit and read in the summerhouse , listening to the sea.

Dd is house hunting today. She rents, and the landlord is selling ?. That’s all she needs , with her cancer treatment and family to look after. We’ll be back next week to help and support her. I don’t know how she keeps so upbeat! ❤️.

Hope Marydoll is feeling a bit brighter ?.
Good luck for tomorrow and the op Ash. We’ll all be thinking of you. Will Oldduders be back to nurse you! ?.
GG get well soon. Tummy bugs are awful.?
Shazza your gs will have a great time. Lovely for him to be included. ?all goes well.

Have a good day! ???

Oopsadaisy1 Sat 29-Oct-22 08:37:05

Good morning from a wet Oxfordshire, I’ve overslept as MissOops didn’t have a very good night.
BT are coming today to sort out something or other, I renewed our contract and it seems we are getting new ‘parts’ which means we have to move a huge desk, I’ll take the drawers out first, hopefully it will then just glide out of the way, lots of dust under there I expect. Then bed changes, washing and curry tonight.
Apart from that a free day!

Happy Anniversary Ashcombe

Hope everyone has a good day and thatMarydoll soon feels well enough to join us.

Nannagarra Sat 29-Oct-22 08:36:32

Good morning from rainy Sefton.
Sending best wishes for your op on Monday Ashcombe. Happy wedding anniversary.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Sat 29-Oct-22 08:36:32

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° with a calm grey sky. Happy anniversary Ashcombe you can celebrate properly after your procedure.
Yesterday I finished cleaning the kitchen but my knees suffered for it. This getting older isnt for wimps!
Today I'll head to Aldi soon for a small shop. Then I'll change the bedding and get the housework done. Dd is popping down to fit the second car seat to my car as dgs1 has to go in a bigger one now. I could do it, but I think it makes her feel better if she has done it. I've nothing else planned apart from watching strictly later. Then my phone will be red hot as my friends and I always critique the performances. Have a good day all.
