Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays outing on buses did not quite go to plan , due a bus not turning up when in Buckingham so caught next one ,and then rushed about .
Today usual day in TV, have some lunch and slowly adjust back to GMT .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a slightly brighter Black Country. I woke at 8am (really 9am) which is very surprising!

Yesterday was spent doing housework, changing bed sheets etc. MrJ had bought an Electric Blanket, so put that on too, although it is so mild here we do not need it at the moment.

Over to Mums today and take her out to lunch. Then visit an ex-work colleague who lives round the corner from her.

Best wishes to Ashcombe that all goes smoothly. Glad to hear from you Marydoll here's hoping lots of rest will do the trick!

I bet you cannot wait to have a cuddle of your new twin grandbabies abitbarmy so glad they are home safe and well.

Wishing you all a good Sunday.

Morning from a grey S Yorks. The family will get muddy, Greyduster.

There's a lovely morning service on atm - its come from a walk on Ben Nevis. Quakers then the gym today. I forgot the change of time too as I looked at the kitchen clock before the computer. I like the extra hour.

Very bests for poorlies and family poorlies, take care.

Good to see you maryd, keep on resting.

Be thinking of you ash, the waiting for admission time is horrid.

Good morning from a damp Co Armagh
I hope you feel better soon Marydoll , you never know when Turkish could come in handy ! You are in my prayers
I’ve been duolingoing Scottish Gaelic but I’m still in 1st grade 😂

Grammaretto Sun 30-Oct-22 08:32:04

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I have tried to change the clocks but the one on the new cooker defeats me. the cooker defeats me I made an alarm go off but that was all
I am having to bus into the station today in order to buy advance train tickets and redeem the vouchers I was given after my last delayed journey. Nothing is easy is it! A 3 hour round trip but I will make a day of it.
I am so glad the babes are home where they belong Abitbarmy.

Love to Marydoll.flowers
Very best wishes to Ashcombe flowers

Have as good a day as you can everyone and make good use of your extra hour. Mine will be on the bus grin

Marydoll Sun 30-Oct-22 08:26:05

Good morning all from Glasgow, I think it's not raining.

I just popped in to wish Ash good luck for her procedure. I'm sure you will feel a big improvement in your health.

Thank you all for your good wishes, and PMs, which gave me such a boost.
A special thanks to my good pal Kalu for her unexpected phone call, it was so good to chat. She is the only person I know, who can talk more than me! 🤣

I have been quite unwell and struggling a bit, I'm quite frustrated about it all and it's starting to get me down. I am a busy woman, always on a mission, but there have been a fair number of aborted ones recently! 😡

A heart episode at 5am or was it 4am, gave me a bit of a scare. ☹, so a day of rest, Reading the papers and watching my rubbish Turkish dramas, seems a good plan.
My gorgeous hero was blown up 😭 in yesterday's episode, how could they do this to me, when I am feeling so low? 😉
I may need to reassess what I watch.😁
On a more positive note, my Turkish language skills are definitely improving, should I ever visit Turkey! 🤣
Oh I forgot, no-one will insure me!

Unfortunately, my clinicians have run out of options, so I must suck it up and pray that things will settle down.

Have a good Sunday all, Best wishes for all, who are poorly. Grey, enjoy your new car!

Greyduster Sun 30-Oct-22 08:21:13

Good luck Ash 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Hope it all goes well.

Jaxjacky Sun 30-Oct-22 08:13:39

Good morning from a damp S Hants, it’s rather gloomy.
Enjoy your course Blue and fingers crossed for you getting a bed Ashcombe. Good to hear the twins are out Abitbarmy.
Gardening plans and greenhouse tidying are now delayed, it’s too wet, I’ve yesterdays paper to finish, a walk later I hope, lamb casserole for dinner.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩

Grandmabatty Sun 30-Oct-22 08:11:01

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and dry, although the clouds are gathering. Best wishes to Ashcombe for your operation. Marydoll thoughts are with you too.
Yesterday I was busy doing housework and I changed the duvet cover which is such a palaver. Everything is nice and clean though which is a solace to my housewife soul. A couple of chats with friends at various times was nice too.
Today I plan to do some garden tidying if the rain holds off. The back garden is looking unkempt and there are bits of moss everywhere from birds pecking it and then abandoning it. Later on, I have to go to dd's house. Dgs1 has asked me to come and see their Halloween decorations. He's very excited by the whole thing. I think I'll take a steak casserole out of the freezer for dinner. Have a good day all.

Stilllearning Sun 30-Oct-22 07:55:48

Morning from the edge of S Lanarkshire where I’ve been awake in a silent house for ages. Emergency call from DD4 yesterday, could I come and stay with poorly pooch as they were going to be out late. Thankfully he seems fine and he and I had a pleasant evening watching an early episode of Inspector Montelbano!

Delighted babies are home again Abitbarmy, a big relief for you all.

Not sure when I’ll go home, I’d like to head back in time for church but DSiL goes off to his cycling club and it would be nice to have some time just the two of us.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day, special thoughts to Marydoll and Ashcombe 🦩🦩🦩

NanKate Sun 30-Oct-22 07:55:26

Good morning Mick and all.

Grey day here in South Bucks.

Sending good wishes Ash for a safe journey to hospital today and a speedy return to us here on this thread.

Come back to us soon dear Mary you are greatly missed. 💐

Is there room at your table today to help you eat your roast chicken dinner? I’m hungry already. 🍗🍗🥕🥕

EkwaNimitee Sun 30-Oct-22 07:54:33

Good morning Mick and everyone from a brightish Carlisle where there are small patches of pale blue but I suspect showers are due later. Getting outside? Maybe, maybe not. I've plenty to amuse myself with inside, there's still the weekend papers to finish off.
I went to bed a little later last night but still woke before what my body thought was the usual time. In the end I got up at what was now 6am. I really really wish they'd stop this clock changing.

I hope all goes well with the op Ashcombe and that you're soon home recuperating.
And thinking of Marydoll, hoping you are seeing daily improvements and will be back soon.

Have the best possible day, all.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 30-Oct-22 07:50:27

Morning all

Haven’t opened the curtains, sorry no idea what the weather is like. I think this pesky bug is on the way out, but I have absolutely it an ounce of energy so definitely a lazy day here in Gravy Grange.

Wishing you well Ashcombe

Ennius your cuddles abitbarmy

Hoping our Marydoll is resting and able to chat to us soon 💐

Have a restful Sunday 🦩🙋‍♀️

ginny Sun 30-Oct-22 07:48:51

Good morning everyone. Well, I knew the clocks went back but didn’t realise that the bedroom clock did not adjust itself. I was up at 1/4 to 7 washing my hair as I am going out today. We have our monthly scrapbooking day today.
So none of my usual rushing around to get ready.
Glad to hear that the new twins are home.
Hope we hear from *Marydoll *soon.
May all with worries and illness feel some relief and find a smile in their day.

Gala Sun 30-Oct-22 07:44:05

Good morning from a dry & brightening Sefton.

A quiet weekend. A potter around a couple of garden centres yesterday morning. Purchases - zero. Must be a first. Then a bit of dust redistribution, read the papers, looked at the ironing. Cooked tea.

Today will be much the same without the visit to the garden centres. Perhaps the ironing will get done. DH will cook tea.

Take care those with worries & troubles. Look after yourselves.

Ashcombe Sun 30-Oct-22 07:42:22

Good morning, all, from a dry but breezy Torbay.

It’s good to read of lovely, normal things going on from folk here. Twin babies are double the fun, I imagine, Abitbarmy. Good luck with the new (to you) car, Greyduster.

I’m expected at the hospital at 4.00 pm unless I receive a call to the contrary so nothing is certain. Not had a great night, unsurprisingly. My kind ex-neighbour is driving me to Plymouth, which is very helpful.

I might not be on here much as phones aren’t allowed in ICU so please don’t worry.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Good morning all and after another glorious sunrise, the clouds are gathering and the forecast is for rain. We haven’t had any here since we came nearly a week ago. Fantastic weather for this time of year and so warm.

We will finish wallpaper stripping this morning . An hour will do it. Thank goodness ! Plasterer coming this afternoon to have a look. I’m sure Dh said he was coming on Monday! 🤔. We’ll see.

I made a tea loaf yesterday. Best yet! I’ll make a pie today with the left over shepherds pie we had yesterday. I’m not a great cook but I do enjoy it.

Ash good luck for today. Hope you get a bed. 🤞
abitbarmy glad to hear the twins are home.👶🏼👶🏼.
Poor Mr Shazza - that’s an extreme reaction. 😫.
Lovely afternoon tea Pittcity . 🧁🫖.

I used to hate the clocks going back when the children were young. It made for such a long day. 🥱. We once arrived for Mass an hour late and Dh arrived for a golf match 2 hours early.

Enjoy your Sundays as much as you can. 🍂🍁🔔

monk08 Sun 30-Oct-22 07:35:46

Good morning all from a bit brighter than of late Black country.
No plans today, will wait to see what DH wants to do when he awakes.
Lovely to hear twins are home enjoy your cuddles.
Ash 🤞 there's a bed for you and all goes to plan.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some 🌞.

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 30-Oct-22 07:21:23

Good morning from a gloomy Oxfordshire, or maybe that’s just me, I have all the symptoms of Covid, but have had 2 negative test results so maybe it’s a mild dose of flu, hopefully it will go soon.

Nothing planned today.

Lovely to hear that the twin babies are going home.

Marydoll hope you are feeling a bit better today🌺🌸

Have a good day everyone and hugs to those who aren’t feeling so chipper.

Pittcity Sun 30-Oct-22 07:08:43

Meant to add a cake photo!

Pittcity Sun 30-Oct-22 07:07:54

Good morning from rainy Colchester. A few degrees cooler than yesterday when it was 20 and sunny.
The council haven't changed the town hall clock and it's just chimed 8.
I am suffering the effects of too much sugar from yesterday's afternoon tea and still have a scone in a doggy bag for today. We'll pop to Lidl later for some fruit and salad to counteract it!
No other plans today.
Love to all and wishing Ash and Marydoll well 🦩x

brook2704 Sun 30-Oct-22 07:07:08

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where it looks a bit wet but still seems really warm
Two DGSs are already up so it’ll be a longish day I expect. Yesterday I went into town with DD1 for a quick browse around the shops and then in the afternoon we all all went Pumpkin picking and got some good ones for carving out later.
Hoping Marydoll is feeling better soon and anyone else too feeling a bit poorly
Pleased to hear the party went so well Shazza
Enjoy your special cuddles abitbarmy
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

kittylester Sun 30-Oct-22 07:04:40

Good morning a from a drippy, greyish North Leicestershire.

Not a lot happening here today - roast chicken later.

Hope you get into hospital today, Ashcombe and all goes well with the op.

Urmstongran Sun 30-Oct-22 06:37:30

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Málaga where, although we are an hour ahead, it’s still quite dark at the moment. I assume it’ll be sunny later. I’ve made my own tea. Himself is still snoozing. The seagulls are noisy - I think they always sound as though they are laughing!

There’s Man. Utd playing some time today and F1 racing late evening so the plan is to go out to eat between these two sporting events I suppose. I don’t mind at least I’m not shopping, chopping and cooking.
#lazygran

Glad to hear those babies are home now Abitbarmy but your poor husband. How horrid the jab has been worse than Covid itself for him. Hope Ash is all systems go and that our Marydoll is feeling better today. x
