Good morning all, sorry Mary doll no improvement with ,your health, I have beensabsent for ages, in hospital, -bowel blockage then low sodium , followed by 8 days in hospital where something nasty discovered, lung biopsy next Friday Ugh. Family brilliant all this time as my husband not so good either, now having Meals on Wheels and various pre packed meals, trying to manage as family all good but spread out. They will take me for biopsy, they can listen and absorb information better than I.Both me and other half suddenly very confused and anxious
Make the most of the continuing mild weather everyone, and count every good day, things change so quickly.

Good morning all from a blustery Glasgow.

Good to see you back with us again Marydoll. I enjoyed our blether yesterday but to accuse me of talking more than you…….I’m speechless! 😂 Hope you are continuing to follow doctor’s orders…..and mine😉
So pleased to hear the babies are home Abitbarmy
Hoping all goes to plan for you today Ash🤞

Having tidied up inside and out it is time to tidy myself up a bit. Yesterday, gave myself a much needed manicure but today, a pedicure, argh, all the bending, I may need a few hours of relaxation to recover.

Hoping a pleasant day is ahead for all today.

Taichinan Sun 30-Oct-22 10:47:48

Good morning all from a damply pleasant Angus coast. I don't know why, but I find the "fall back" clock change completely discombobulating and am in a state of sixes and sevens for days after it. I have no problem with the "spring forward" one.
Glad to see you back Marydoll - I miss your cheery blethers. Take care, and no going wild!
Ash, hoping all goes well with your admission and op - you'll be so glad when it's all over and you're returned into the care of olddudders.
That's a dreadful reaction your poor DH is having to the covid jab Shazza! I hope he feels better soon.
Someone up thread - I can't remember which post, sorry- suggested that it is better to have the covid and flu jabs a week apart to avoid bad reactions, but I had them at the same time and had absolutely no reaction, not even a sore arm! We're all different I suppose.
Lovely to hear the little twins are home again, abitbarmy - how I envy you those cuddles!
Nothing to report from here, just the same old same old. So have a good day everyone x

Good morning from a grey NE.
Very late this morning as I am tired.
Family did not leave until after midnight and I changed a few clocks before retiring but the ovens and microwave are still to do.
DD and SIL will visit this afternoon and we will have a roast tonight, chicken for two of us and a vegan joint for DD.
Thoughts are with Ashcombe, may everything go to plan.
Marydoll is in my thoughts too, take it easy.
Great to hear babies are home, enjoy your time with them.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s raining again in my corner of Lancashire.

Today I need to sort out some paperwork and shred anything no longer needed that can’t be recycled. Mr. B is busy making some Christmas items for a local charity.

I need to get back into my exercise routine. Although I have been doing essential physio exercises each day I want to build up some strength as well. I have been doing my Gaelic lessons every day as I do enjoy them.

Enjoy your cuddles with the twins abitbarmy. Hope your DH is feeling better soon Shazza.

Hope all goes well today and tomorrow Ashcombe, will be thinking of you.

Good to see you here Marydoll flowers

Thinking of all under the weather today, wishing everyone a happy Sunday whatever you’re doing. 🌻🌻

I'm also popping in to wish Ashcombe all the best for her operation and recovery.
Good to see Marydoll posting, I'm sorry you have been so unwell.
Have a great day everyone.
Very wet here in Essex by the sea.

ixion Sun 30-Oct-22 09:57:02

Just popping in to send Ashcombe best wishes for the upcoming surgery and recuperation.

BlueSapphire Sun 30-Oct-22 09:53:45

Here is DD ready for her lesson; her horse, Tim, was beautiful, and very good.

Grandmadinosaur Sun 30-Oct-22 09:52:49

All the best

Grandmadinosaur Sun 30-Oct-22 09:52:28

Good morning from Ibiza. All checked in and heading home. There is a 20 minute delay on the flight.

We’ve had a lovely holiday. It’s been great having fun with the little ones. You forget how hard work it is though 🤣

As the best for today * Ashcombe* 💐

Will catch up with threads. As hotel wifi was useless I’m all out of data but on airport wifi now.

BlueSapphire Sun 30-Oct-22 09:51:50

Good morning everyone from a bright and dry Northampton, no rain forecast, so the towels are in the washing machine.
I tried to post yesterday morning but it must have been when the site was down and the site wasn't having it! So I gave up and didn't bother in the end.

DD turned up yesterday morning to ask whether I'd like to accompany her to her riding lesson; of course I jumped at the chance and spent a pleasant hour in the warm sunshine with a coffee at the stables. I love horses (used to ride years ago), and watching DD was lovely. She then came back here to shower and change before rugby.

It was a great match, the weather was sunny and mild, and we came away with a good win. Must record the highlights programme today, so I can see the best bits again. Had a Chinese take-away for dinner, and there is enough left over for tonight.

Nothing planned for today, so shall watch the England women's rugby world cup match which I recorded overnight, and just have a day in with the papers and my knitting.

Wishes to Ash for a successful operation, and to Marydoll, hoping she feels well again soon.

Georgesgran Sun 30-Oct-22 09:45:26

Good morning from a damp Durham. DGS1 slept over last night, so we are debating where to go - possibly a local farm with animals and a cafe. I’ll take him home later and then see DD2 to check on her after her hospital stay with sepsis. She has appointments Mondays and Fridays at a different hospital to keep it under observation.
Pleased to hear from Marydoll and fingers crossed Ash that your admission and op goes to plan. Mixed news on GN this morning, but best wishes to all.X

Good morning from a murky Leicestershire.

We survived our trip to DD's to pick up dog and also to get her house ready to sell. They have gone off to a conference in the US so I backed out of the house with mop in hand so it is pristine for viewings. They have already put an offer on a new house so hope it sells quickly.

Today is dog walking and recovering!

I hope your bed is available Ashcombe and the op goes well. We look forward to seeing you back here.
Good news about the twins and good to see Marydoll back - I hope you get your energy back soon.

hollysteers Sun 30-Oct-22 09:18:03

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
DS arriving this afternoon to hopefully fix car windows, apart from that just pottering and reading.
Spoilt cat wakes me at all hours just for attention I think as I feed her but she’s not bothered, still love her.
Thoughts to Ashcombe and very good news Abitbarmy

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 30-Oct-22 09:11:09

Good Morning all from grey Harrogate.
Delighted ti see your post Marydoll - maybe you could use a Turkish handyman?
Hope all goes as planned Ashcombe and you have a comfy bed!
Yesterday my trip to the. hospital was futile, I was supposed to have been referred to the respiratory clinic and the cardiologist between April and now and neither has happened! The afternoon was spent sorting this MacBook - have a bit more to sort this pm!
Maybe in Scotland you all seem to have had both flu and Covid jabs at the same time leaving a number of you feeling just not well, maybe having them a week or so apart is a better idea, as has been here?
Today I shall be viewing the church service on line, not much point in going when I just don't hear well without one of my hearing aids! Someone mentioned getting a Disabled Railcard because she has two hearing aid - I have one and DH doesn't need a railcard as long as he's with me, so that's quite a saving.
Have the best day possible folks.

GrannySomerset Sun 30-Oct-22 09:07:00

This morning’s service is from the smallest of our four churches, a delightful tiny building, very much loved, so I need to get a move on. Nothing else planned but hope to talk to the family at some point.

Loving good wishes to Marydoll and Ashcombe and to the two tiny babies.

luluaugust Sun 30-Oct-22 08:56:55

Good morning from a wet W Kent. It should have been a busy day for us today but son's battle with Covid has put a stop to everything, so we will just relax with a casserole from the freezer.
Delighted the twins are home Abitbarmy enjoy your cuddles.
Hope the bed is available Ashcombe
Marydoll hope you feel more yourself soon.
Best wishes to all.

baubles Sun 30-Oct-22 08:47:46

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

My arms and head are still throbbing from the covid and flu vaccines but paracetamol worked wonders yesterday and will do today I’m sure.

I enjoyed my day at work yesterday and was delighted when DD texted asking us to come over for dinner and to watch Strictly with her and her girls. It was just lovely being cuddled up on the sofa with all the children.

Good to see you Marydoll, hope today is easier.

Fingers crossed that there are no hiccups Ash.

No real plans today. I may make up a few more bags of Halloween treats for the guisers, I’ve done thirty five but wouldn’t like to be short. grin

Have the best day possible everyone.

aggie Sun 30-Oct-22 08:37:24

Ash fingers crossed and 🙏🏼 that you have your procedure with no delays
