Just heard I'm seeing Peter Kay in London next Spring. Yippee!

I don’t know if he counts as a comedian but I think Simon Farnaby is becoming a national treasure. I love him in Detectorists and Ghosts and Horrible Histories and he’s now doing the voiceover for the Tescos Christmas ad ( which he probably wrote..).

I really like Jason Manford and totally dislike Frankie Boyle

I love Peter Kay and heard him on the radio this morning. I actually thought he sounded a bit manic -trying too hard. However, he's bound to be nervous after all this time and the massive weight of expectation. Good on him!

Thanks, just listened to him on the zoo ball breakfast show, he is doing the o2 if that helps, such a pleasure to hear his lovely daft humour again.🤣

These are the dates, Bridie. They must be adding to them all the time as there certainly weren’t any London dates there when I looked after the announcement.

Tickets are on sale on Saturday at 10am - they won’t last long!

Bridie22 Wed 09-Nov-22 07:11:26

Oh I'm jealous, I'm hoping he is coming near to me.👍

Peter Kay coming back... yeah love his humour.

Me too. He’s going to be on at our nearest venue on DH’s birthday so I’ve booked a (fully refundable) hotel in the hope that I can grab a couple of tickets when they go on sale.

I used to really enjoy Smith and Jones in the olden days.
Mel Smith had a delightfully silly face. smile

Hate Eric Morcambe. Like all sorts can't think of any particular one. We watched Bobby Davro recently at a camping event. He was filthy but funny. We were sitting at the front and he asked to borrow my hubs glasses. He looked through them and said " I can't see anything out of these no wonder you have to sit at the front", then he said " I bet you pulled some ugly birds wearing these"....all good fun 😀

Love Romesh (just watched a couple of clips on You Tube). He's hilarious.

Can't bear Jimmy Carr. Arrogant tw*t.

Alioop Sat 05-Nov-22 17:39:55

I love Peter Kay, his show Car Share was hilarious. Dara O Briain and Micky Flannigan are funny too.
Jimmy Carr goes to far. I saw his standup show and sat and cringed at times. I saw Frankie Boyle years ago and he was horrible.

How about Milton Jones?Deadpan.Barbarax

The house fire/ temporary accommodation should be a red flag.

Another vote here for Dave Allan, he was effortlessly brilliant.

Michael Macintyre is the only one who makes me laugh out loud but can't stand game shows so don't watch him on those.

Ditto - but when he's doing stand-up he's brilliant. Yesterday I discovered there's a show of his made especially for Netflix called Showman. I have watched it twice already!

I also like Lee Mack. Dave Allen was great and I saw him live on stage a couple of times. Also like Henning Wehn (sp?) and enjoy Lee Mack v David Mitchell on WILTY - Bob Mortimer is always good when he's on Lee's panel and so is Henning.

Can't stand Jimmy Carr, Keith Lemon, Frankie Boyle and not keen on Sarah Millican.

I forgot one: Graham Norton is hilarious.
