‘Evening All’

From me, the Domestic Goddess. 😁
I dished up Welsh lamb tonight. Gorgeous. It was half a shoulder and it came to the table straight from carving.

Himself is washing up (team work, I cook he does the dishes). Then he plans to watch the football.

muse that foot injury sounds problematic. I can only assume your husband is diabetic? Wounds take a very long time to heal and granulate. I remember from typing up the diabetes out patient clinics, back in the day.

I hope soop has received excellent attention today for her painful hernia. If so, she will be relieved to be home with her feet up now.

Till tomorrow dear kitcheners. x

Hi all, I understand that kitty brings it home we’re vulnerable.
Hope soop has had a successful trip.
Love those lights Urms ours will wait until Tree is delivered on the 15th.
Got milk and bread in from friends who return tomorrow from a month away, they’ll have a shock, coming from 30 to
this! Very fine dampness outside and 6.
Lovely boiler man finished off today flushing the system through, it’s made a difference, I’ve now paid him for the new boiler, we should stay toasty. Wrote and stamped all the Christmas cards, 2 flipping stamps short, annoying. Dinner is on to eat before the game.
Enjoy your evening all x

Hello everyone. Not a particularly inspiring day, but not bad! OH took a stack of things to one of the charity shops in a nearby town. I did a Waitrose shop. That’s it really. OH will be watching football. I don’t mind who wins. I was born in England but have a very Welsh maiden name. Have a peaceful evening. Oh, I really hope Soop has a successful visit today.

Hello Kitcheners. After reading nearly four days of kitchen news, I come with a bucket full of hugs to all those who need them. I'll pop back to read your news about the appointment but do hope it gave you some answers and relief soop.

Thank you for the photos Urms and brook. I have a tree and the box of decs are standing by. I hope we see those holiday photos BA.

MrM finally got in touch with the surgery yesterday as a wound on his foot is not healing. One of his tools fell and,
although he was wearing steel toed boots it managed to catch him just outside the capped area. A return call and a visit to the nurse ..... he was told it had ulcerated. I think this will be a recurring problem for him following the two ulcers that took nearly a year to heal. He is back on Friday for a check up.

Stay warm everyone.

Good evening dear Kitcheners, it’s been a cold, grey, foggy day here, very uninspiring. Hope all the holidaymakers are enjoying themselves, looking forward to more pictures.

I hope Soop’s appointment has gone well.
Thinking of you Baggs and Kitty flowers

I really think we need another group hug at the moment ❤️

Been reading but not posting much.
Good luck soop hope all goes well.
Kitty hope you feel better soon.
Baggs, thinking of you x

Safe journey soop, I’m glad that you will be seeing someone who can hopefully help you, but not that you have to travel such a distance. Your journey helped put in perspective my slight fedupness at having had a difficult visit at the crack of dawn yesterday to the eye clinic in Faro hospital. I will have to go back again sometime as I have “dirty lenses” that will need to be cleaned apparently!

Kitty I know exactly what you mean about feeling affronted, not about my eyes but about having cracked my pelvis way back in February. flowers

baggs sending love.

kittylester Tue 29-Nov-22 10:52:56

I have been reading posts but not commenting much as I have been feeling very down - not me at all! And silly really as I am getting better all the time and I don't have the problems and sadnesses that others have.

I had a gp visit yesterday which was very positive but I think I still feel affronted that I should have had a health issue at all. I expect lots of people feel that.

I'm sorry you had a wobbly day baggs but not really surprised- keeping positive must be so hard.

I hope today is positive soop. And that you get all the right answers.

Sending love to everyone.

Baggs Tue 29-Nov-22 10:10:21

Waves 👋 and virtual hugs as you go past today, soop!

I thoroughly read yesterday's posts but was having a very wobbly day so couldn't put a response together without 😢. Best wishes though to everyone xx

Nannytopsy Tue 29-Nov-22 08:20:30

Morning all! We were supposed to be up early but hey ho! We are off to DD’s this morning for a flying visit and Fergus cuddles, but I forgot to set the alarm. We are going to shampoo the sitting room carpet before we go, so that it can dry in peace. It’s a small room so it won’t take long but we think it’s a bit doggy after the visitors.
The Spanish photos look very tempting but we have finally booked for Tenerife in March. It will soon be time to pack!
Good luck today soop . Must get moving here …

Grannmarie Mon 28-Nov-22 22:14:16

Thank you, Jaxjacky and Brook. 🥰

Urmstongran Mon 28-Nov-22 21:09:34

Are you just loving Malaga, like me?

‘Evening All’

I’ve ditched ‘Dixon’ tonight to show off our new Christmas balcony lights. Photo taken just now. It was a nice dry day here today so Himself decided to fix them up on the railing this lunchtime.

Our Christmas cards have been posted. Maybe a tad early but with postal strikes who the devil knows? One off to Oz. And one to my baby Sis in Spain ... who never reciprocates but hey, that’s not why we send them is it?
😊

Just back from swimming lessons/the shower bear garden then had wine(s) in the Loungers Bar underneath, to talk and de stress over something that upset and disappointed me over the weekend. I’ve felt proper ‘sorry-for-me’ but after contacting a friend and venting .... I’ve given my head a wobble and got a grip. Curved balls in life do teach us (eventually) to be better at catching.

Grandmabatty I think you are the nicest grandma, bar none.

I’ve also deleted pm ‘s from my Inbox earlier. Goodness, they went back 12 months. Ridiculous! Honestly, joking apart it took me a good 40 minutes. Going forward, I’m going to delete on 1st of every month!

brook2704 Mon 28-Nov-22 20:51:54

Hope all goes well for you tomorrow soop and some help can be provided
Sounds like another very busy day grandmabatty you’ve definitely got a very well polished halo - I hope DGS1 feels a bit better tomorrow too. Wish you were over here and could help me with my Spanish!
Pleased to see you back grannmarie you’ve definitely been missed
We’ve had a lovely day out in Nerja today, the sun just kept on shining although there was a coolish breeze. Didn’t stop lots of people going in the sea though. We had a gorgeous lunch overlooking the beach and just sat and watched the world go by.
Tomorrow will be a bit of an adventure walking the Caminito del Rey - hopefully all will go ok
Have a lovely evening all, sounds like a delicious dinner Jax!

Grandmabatty Mon 28-Nov-22 20:18:19

Jaxjacky I tidied up a bit but the toys are still in the living room albeit in boxes. Tomorrow will be a repeat of today. Dinner has been eaten and I'm lounging most ungracefully on the couch watching Endeavour. I did half an hour of Spanish too. My halo is shining

Jaxjacky Mon 28-Nov-22 20:10:59

Fingers crossed for tomorrow soop.
Good to see you back Grannmarie and breathe..
No point tidying up Grandmabatty enjoy your dinner and a peaceful evening.
Volunteering day on the phones today, threw the vacuum around and moved dust, cleaned bathrooms and polished halo
We’ve just had a tasty dinner, chicken with leeks, even though I do say so. I think your DH needs a nudge llfl, or instructions, MrJ certainly would!
Enjoy your evening all x

Grannmarie Mon 28-Nov-22 19:10:46

Thank you, Grandmabatty.smile

Grandmabatty Mon 28-Nov-22 18:49:02

It's good to hear from you Grannmarie. Life sometimes gets in the way, doesn't it?

Grannmarie Mon 28-Nov-22 18:19:22

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people. 🥰

Wishing you a safe journey tomorrow and a helpful consultation, Soop, hoping that things improve for you soon.

Well done, Grandmabatty, I really admire your stamina! Put your feet up now and relax awhile now the wee boys have gone home.

Many thanks to the kind Kitchen gran who pm'd me, concerned by my recent absence.
I was a bit overwhelmed with ' things' and seemed to lose the ability to post more than a wee lyric on the songs thread! Thankfully, I'm feeling a bit more human now, I've started Christmas shopping and cleaning and I went to my exercise class this morning...normal service has been resumed.

Thinking of everyone, especially those with illness, worries or sorrow. 🙏💕

Happy days to those on holiday or visiting family. 🥰

Bellanonna Mon 28-Nov-22 17:59:28

All the best with your appointment tomorrow soop, and safe journey there and back.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 28-Nov-22 17:55:41

Dear Soop, I hope you get sorted out tomorrow!
I agree about pets. OH was overseas when we had our cat China pts. Younger son jumped on a bus in London and came home for the night so I would have someone at the vet with me,
I got home an hour ago from a lovely day in Bath looking at the Christmas market. Just eight of us went and we had a great time. I bought some beautiful tee light holders and a couple of Christmas tree decorations. Also an amazing glazed wooden bowl for elder son and his partner. I thought OH might have planned something for dinner, but sadly not!

Grandmabatty Mon 28-Nov-22 17:34:59

Childcare day one completed. Two wee boys delivered home safely. Dgs1 is suffering from a cold type virus and is not himself, very heavy eyed, coughing and not eating much so dd decided he wouldn't go to nursery. It was actually easier as I didn't have to wrestle dgs2 umpteen times in and out of the car seat. We went out in the morning to the swings, then went out puddle splashing in the afternoon. I'm contemplating the chaos that is my house before I make dinner. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

soop Mon 28-Nov-22 16:55:17

Thank you for all your kind words.

Hellogirl Your advice to David's wife will be invaluable. Special love to you all.

I won't be visiting our kitchen tomorrow. I shall call in on Wednesday. Please take good care of yourselves.

Naughtyneine Very many thanks. You have been reimbursed by bank transfer. I believe that it takes two hours to show in your account.
