Soop, I`m glad you`re being seen to reasonably quickly, just such a pity you have to travel so far. I`ll give Kian a hug from you xx
Our David`s wife and youngest son called round yesterday. She`s worrying about all the bills that David paid from his bank account. I told her, after she`s been to see the registrar, to get to the bank and let them get it sorted. That`s what I did.

Thank you for more kind words about my Boy. 😻 I thought I heard him snoring this morning but it was just a noise outside. You get so used to the background presence of a pet, don’t you?

Soop that sounds awful. I’m glad you’re getting seen v quickly.

Brook there are too many choices on that signpost! grin

So sorry the hernia is causing so many problems, hope tomorrow’s appointment goes well and brings some relief.

soop Mon 28-Nov-22 11:49:22

brook Fabulous photographs of magical holiday. The sunshine in the colourful garden is a joy to behold.

soop Mon 28-Nov-22 11:44:53

Hellogirl My word! I still think of Kian as being that wide-eyed wee boy who stole our hearts. Now he is a proper grown-up man. Unbelievable! Give him a special hug from me. X

We have since heard that the lady, in her sixties, had driven a new car a few hundred miles from mid England having attended her sister's funeral. She was four miles from home. The car somersaulted three times but thankfully landed upright. It is a right-off. She was suffering from whiplash and shock. Part of the neighbour's fence had penetrated the front of the engine and thankfully missed bursting through the dashboard.

The hernia is causing big probs. The stoma nurse phoned a few minutes ago. We're to travel to the Vale of Leven hospital on the outskirts of Glasgow for an appointment with her tomorrow lunchtime.

SueD All animal lovers consider their pets to be a member of the family. We know. We've been there. The pain of their deaths is as real as the love we shared with them. flowers

Good morning dear Kitcheners, it’s sunny here, so good to see after the gloomy, grey days we’ve had recently.
Soop I hope you are feeling less shaken today, what a shock you must all have had.

Grannmarie Sun 27-Nov-22 23:49:31

Lovely photos, Hellogirl, I hope that special memories of happy times may bring you a little comfort in the days to come.

What a shock, Soop, I prescribe a medicinal brandy to restore your equilibrium! Hope the lady is OK.

Brook, enjoy the rest of your wonderful holiday, I've enjoyed your photos. Happy memories of a wonderful visit to the Alhambra a few years ago.

Best wishes to BA and all on holidays or visiting family just now, enjoy your special times.

SueD, so sorry about your lovely wee cat. Our pets are part of our families and when they go, they leave a hole in our hearts.

Thinking of all with worries, illness or sorrow. 💕🙏 NNGB

So lovely to hear your DGD has had a lovely 5th Birthday party SueD such a lovely age 🎂🎉🎊
My DH is also watching the footy Urms is very lively here as you can imagine, especially when Spain scored! We had a lovely day today just wandering like you do, warmish sunshine with just a light cardigan for the shade. We’re finding our way around the city now but the signpost made me laugh! There’s lots of little Christmas markets and craft stalls that have opened along the avenues and in the little squares in the city, it’s such a lovely atmosphere although busy compared to what I’m used to in Inverness. We’ve seen a few luxury cruise ships in the port area too, unfortunately I couldn’t sneak onboard ..

I’d love to hear about your holiday BA I’ve had a couple of alerts on the app about the northern lights so hope you’re lucky

Have a lovely evening all ❤️

SueDonim Sun 27-Nov-22 20:19:35

I’m overwhelmed by all the kind posts about my beautiful cat. You lot as Soop says, just get it, I know. Thank you. 💕 And now I’m getting adverts for C-ats P-rotection L-eague on my IPad.

Please don’t stop posting light-hearted posts or holiday posts on my account. For me, to have a reminder of normality is good. smile

Soop how upsetting that must have been. flowers A friend of mine recently had a drunken driver career across her front garden and end up wedged on a low wall between her and her neighbour’s house. shock My friend is a keen gardener and it was only by chance she hadn’t gone into the garden that afternoon to do some work. Then last week a woman was killed in a car accident at night, right outside a family member’s house. That was awful. sad

I’ve been at my GD’s birthday party this afternoon. She’s five tomorrow but this is the first party she’s had. Her first was a family do, her second she was in hospital with pneumonia & asthma and her third and fourth were both hit by Covid. It was a big success, an indoor bouncy castle and lots of finger food kept everyone occupied for two hours with only one minor injury and no arguments! (The children were very well behaved, too. grin)

A quiet evening now, and I hope the same for you all, too. TOYA. xxx

Blossoming Sun 27-Nov-22 20:14:46

BladeAnnie I’d love to hear about your holiday too.

Blossoming Sun 27-Nov-22 20:13:27

Good evening lovely Kitcheners. My tum has been quiet all day so fingers crossed it stays that way. Have a restful evening all x

cornergran Sun 27-Nov-22 19:25:55

Oh heck soop. I remember that car accident noise well. It takes a while to get over hearing it. Hope the driver is OK.

When I was five we moved to live beside a very busy road. There was a pub along from us. Before the road was made dual carriageway it was a pedestrian accident waiting to happen when folk left the pub after having more than a little too much alcohol. Many a time we called an ambulance or had injured folk in our living room.

Another one here who’d love to hear about your holiday BA.

We’ve been a bit down for a few days, the birch type Christmas tree I installed in our conservatory this afternoon has helped, the lights lift spirits. Hearing about a holiday would also cheer me.

Enjoy your evening everyone. TOYA

Hi all, I went to a Winter Fair in a local village and won a few bits on the Tombola, we then won a decent chicken in the meat draw in our local.
Chicken in freezer, poussin for dinner, using the oven, which we haven’t done for quite a while.
I’d like to hear about your holiday BA please.
Enjoy your evening all x

Urmstongran Sun 27-Nov-22 19:02:03

‘Evening All’

We’ve had a very nice afternoon with my stepfather. Drinks in the Loungers Bar downstairs then up in the lift here for a roast pork dinner which was pretty well organised. Himself is about to watch the football - it’s Germany -v- Spain. He’s rooting for Spain (because it’s our second home).
😊 ⚽️

brook2704 Sun 27-Nov-22 17:30:41

Oh soop that’s frightening, I hope the lady is ok without any serious injuries.
What a shock for you and your neighbour, it really does shake you up, sending ❤️

Grandmabatty Sun 27-Nov-22 17:20:55

Oh my goodness Soop. What an upset. I hope she's ok. And your neighbour too

soop Sun 27-Nov-22 16:30:56

A lady driver has spun off the road outside our home. She has completely demolished the neighbour's fence. Ambulance and police car in attendance. Our neighbour was enjoying coffee in our home and saw the accident occur. I have never seen anyone cover the distance between our home and his gate in such record time. The bang was awful. Fence in bits strewn across the road. Lady driver in shock. She's now on the way to hospital.

SueD Hugs from me to you.

Sorry, but I feel shaken by what's happened. Will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Hellogirl Very special photographs. Thank you for sharing.

Hello all. A quiet day as predicted. We changed our Sunday lunch booking to a takeaway. OHs cold is still awful. I collected roast beef and roast lamb plus all the trimmings and it was delicious. We had some of my homemade caramel ice cream for pudding. OH is spending the day mainly watching football so I’m reading. He did a covid test yesterday which was negative. Have a peaceful evening.

BladeAnnie Sun 27-Nov-22 13:23:31

hellogirl what lovely photos and so kind of you to share. sueD I am so very sorry to hear you've lost your little friend 💔 🐈‍⬛. There's such a lot of sadness in the kitchen I don't really feel like I should be posting my holiday news. Sending a gentle group hug. TOYA 🌷
