Happy to be together
All good pals
and jolly good company.
WELCOME to you lovely lot.
Sad to read about Sue’s cat and remember that I have held each of our cats for that final sad moment - DH couldn’t even get out of the car. Am clear that I did the right thing each time, but still miss each of the very individual felines. Pets are so much more than “mere” animals.
Sorry to hear about your cat SueD.
It’s almost a year since we had our Charlie PTS at 19 but we still talk to him occasionally. Sleep tight everyone
Wishing you a peaceful night blossoming.
Thank you for sharing the photos hellogirl, some wonderful memories there.
That looks a happy evening brook We were so disappointed here today when driving rain and gusty winds accompanied Christmas light switch on. Afraid we hid at home.
I’m so sorry sued, your cat was part of your family, a very sad time. I still miss our last dog (we can’t have cats, Mr C is allergic), who was far from perfectly behaved but always knew when I felt sad or was unwell.
We managed to get soaked twice today, strange isn’t it how we never shrink, even when we want to.
. No plans to venture forth tomorrow so I guarantee a dry day
.
Sleep well everyone. Hope tomorrow brings some sunshine for us all.
Hellogirl those are very happy wedding pictures.
SueDonim he was not just a cat, he was your baby boy, a much loved member of the family. He had a lovely home and was cared for until you had to make the heartbreaking but brave decision. Your house will feel so empty for a long time.
For many reasons, I am not going to get another cat.
Lovely family pics Hellogirl, you must be proud of them all.
That looks fabulous Brook, I loved the various Christmas fairs and markets and celebrations when I was working in Europe.
I’m all snuggled up warm in my pillow nest, fingers crossed dodgy belly has settled now. Goodnight all, sleep well 😴
Well it’s been a real party night in Malaga tonight with the switching on of the Christmas lights and more besides - goodness me these Spanish people know how to have a good time! DH and I have come back to our apartment and left them all to it 🤣
Thanks for the beautiful photos hellogirl 💐💐
And sorry to hear about your little cat SueD - sad times
Thank you for sharing those lovely photos, Hellogirl. That looks a splendid wedding.
Thank you, too, for your generous words when your loss is so much bigger. Kitcheners have such huge hearts. 💕💕💕
So sorry about your poor little cat SueDonim, but you did what was right for him, and he is no longer suffering.
And Urms, don`t be silly, I, like many others, look forward to your posts. Our David always enjoyed a bit of levity, so stop worrying.
I`m trying those pics again. Kian then and now Soop, and our David on his wedding day in 2011. Fingers crossed!
Thank you, dear friends, for all the kind and caring posts about my beautiful boy. He was just a cat but also so much more than just a cat, as anyone who has had a pet will know.
22 is a grand age for a cat, Blossoming Ours had kidney disease, too, though it was recurrent cat flu that overwhelmed him in the end. I’m sorry you’re not well again and hope you feel better soon.
I agree 100% with you about Urm’s posts! I can imagine her doing all the things she posts about.
So sorry your sweet grey cat has slipped away SueDonim . He lived a long life and was loved by you. RIP . 🐈⬛
I second that, Blossoming
Urms your lovely chatty posts are so uplifting, please don’t feel bad x
Good evening dear Kitcheners. I’m sorry I’ve been absent, my re-engineered ‘innards’ have decided to celebrate itthe 5th Anniversary with a violent attack of the collywobbles. It’s upsetting and embarrassing and leaves me feeling sick and shaky. I don’t know what I’d do if it happened while I was out! It strikes so suddenly. I’m now back to journaling everything I eat in minute detail.
Anyway, that’s that out of the way, I just wanted to let you know I’m here and reading your posts and as always TOYA. Much love to Baggs and Hellogirl
SueDonim our elderly Burmese cat had to be PTS at 22 years old when his kidneys deteriorated too far for any quality of life. Holding him while the drug was administered and he passed away was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it was the only kind thing I could do for him. Some may say they’re only animals but they give us so much, it’s hard to say goodbye.
Oh Suedonim I'm sorry to hear about your lovely cat. What a shame. 💐
So sorry about your cat SueDomin
so sad to lose a much loved pet.💐
Hello Kitcheners. We went to our local RSPCA Christmas fair today with youngest GS.It was very busy hopefully they made lots of money.
I’m suffering extreme tinnitus since my covid jab.My G.P said I’m one of many very strange!
I love your lamp Urms
Sending hugs Hellogirl.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hi all, definitely in the #lazygran camp here, I don’t iron, body heat gets creases out; MrJ irons his shirts. He has a filthy cold, supping a lemsip as a I speak, my glass of white feels decadent. We’ve got an Indian being delivered, that might help him, it does me, no cooking!
Hope your OH recovers soon llfl a lot of it about. I agree with you annsixty going out tonight (it’s windy and raining), does not appeal.
Sorry about your cat SueD hard for you.
Enjoy your evening all x
It’s fine, Urms, a little lightness in life is good. I chuckled at Charliegirl’s comment that she now uses her oven for storage and I will now confess that I deliberately left my ironing board in our old house when we moved last May and have yet to replace it.
I did need to iron some new curtains yesterday and had to press the kitchen table into action for that.
*loved
Oh I feel a bit crass and would like to apologise for my witterings in the midst of sad and poignant posts. I crossed posts with you Hellogirl and so please forgive me.
And then after I pressed ‘send’ the news about your poor much over cat SueDonim. Ouch.
My timing is off tonight sadly, for humour. Ignore me.
I’ll be back tomorrow night. x
This is rather trivial in the light of Hellogirl’s tragic news, but we lost our sweet little cat today. He’d been deteriorating since Tuesday but we’d managed to keep him comfortable. This morning, it had gone past that, though he complained very little, the wee poppet. It’s a horrible decision to make, all you can do is choose the least bad option. We miss him terribly, the house is so quiet, even though at the age of 17 and being blind, he lived a quiet life. I didn’t realise how much we used to talk to him. I hope he’s gone to join his big brother and that they’re snuggling up again, reunited. 😢
Sorry, they didn`t post, will try later.
You read correctly Charleygirl. I like my potatoes done in the oven like that - no oil, no foil - nice crispy skins and fluffy white insides. Yes, not cheap. But half a steak only probably pays for the electric. And whatever, it’s cheaper than eating out! Himself offered earlier.
😁
No, I haven’t annsixty I think I last went to Stockport in my 40’s. I used to be a runner (I know, hard to believe) and a shop had opened there called Decathlon (is it even there now?) and I bought some gear. No. Wrong word these days (!) ... running stuff.
