Thank you for the good wishes. It’s been a quiet day, with the weather being so awful, but that’s fine, we’re warm and cosy here. Shazza you’ve aged me ten years! It’s a mere 50 years, not 60. Though I don’t feel old enough to have been married for even 50 years! Golden weddings are for grey-haired old ladies in Crimpelene & elderly gents in tweeds and pullovers. not for people like us. 😂

Hello all and congratulations to all those celebrating! I bit the bullet today and started doing Christmas things, apart from THE cake which I made weeks ago. I printed address labels off for the cards and stuck them on envelopes. That’s it. I also found my Christmas pudding recipe and put it on the recipe book holder in the kitchen. When I get back from lunch with a friend tomorrow, I might see if my granddaughter would like to help assemble the ingredients. On the other hand she might prefer to help her dad and granddad move rocks in our garden!

We’ve been to our accountant today. Not nice to hear how much tax you have to pay in January but hey ho needs must!
We took my mum to have a steroid injection into her knee. She wanted me to go in with her but I had to look away as I can’t watch injections. Hoping she’s out of pain in the next couple of day bless her. Hate to see her hobbling.
Little grandson who was sick in the night couldn’t go to school so Son had to go and pick up a laptop and work from home to be with him. Bless my son he had to ask what temperature to wash his bedding on as grandson was sick on it.
What a day😂 I’m going to have a glass of wine I need one. Cheers🍷

We’ve had a lovely day out at an animal park with friends we’ve not seen all year. Not sure how that happened other than one is still very anxious about covid and also winter illnesses. Shattered now but pleased we managed to spend time together even if I was very chilled by the time we all left.

An early ‘Evening All’.

We went out to a huge and very popular garden centre mid morning. It was busy but not rammed. As the days go by it’ll get busier I’m sure and I wanted to mooch without crowds of folk jostling about. Amongst other things I got a new bedside lamp which I’m delighted with. And ... not only did I buy several packs of Christmas cards, I then spent the afternoon writing them all and now they’ve got stamps on, just waiting ...

Good afternoon everyone - so many troubles and worries in the kitchen but isn't this a lovely place to share these things? We are still without heating - until Monday but things could be worse - snd the water has receded from the garden. It usually disappears as quickly as it comes!! Has to be seen to be believed!! Clapham junction here today, man came to remove the boiler housing before the new one is fitted tomorrow, same lovely guy who fitted the kitchen 2 years ago. Window cleaner has been, swiftly followed by grocery delivery.
Meanwhile, trying to keep one room warm with the electric fan, expensive!
Out tonight at bowls club quiz, hope their heating is working.

My 5yr old grandson who is a lovely cuddly boy ,has decided to give away his big wooden kitchen with accessories to a local charity for "children who don't get many toys" his words I am very proud of him.😍

Sorry to hear some of you are having hard times with friends with illness it's hard they are like family sent they.
