Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley this morning.
Today an early start for 2 appointments at the Horton in Banbury .
I have to give blood samples on the first , followed by my glaucoma eye test in the outpatients .
I am taking bottled water with me as blood is hard to get out of me .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Safe journey GrandMattiie, you have had a busy time
Hope your appointments go smoothly Mick
You struck lucky with the NHS Ash. Hope you feel the benefits.
Today I have a Drs appointment- face to face! How he can do something about my aches and pains, I’m not ready to be put down! My SIL finally let me know she is not coming this week, so I can relax again.
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning all and I slept a good two hours longer than usual. Typical! As I have to be out and about earlyish!

I’m meeting my two old school friends for a ‘trip down memory lane’. We will visit our childhood houses, school, parks for coffee, churches, and country pub for lunch where we frequented a lot as teenagers. We’ve been friends now for 67 years, - bridesmaids for each other and godparents to each other’s children. So special!

Ash lovely to hear your positive experience at the surgery yesterday. Take care and rest.💐.

GM hope your journey home is good 🤞. I’m glad you feel refreshed after your lovely time with your family.

GG - I hope you get your ‘list’ done. You’re doing very well with all your Christmas preps!

Chrissielou good luck with the new boiler. We’ve got the plumber coming as our water tank thingy keeps losing water and the heating won’t come on. 🤔.

A good day to you all. 🍂🍁

Erratum
Bristol is absolutely lovely, but E Kent is the Gobi desert of the UK… not used to do much wet.

Greyduster Tue 08-Nov-22 08:12:50

Good morning Michael and all GNs. The South Yorkshire weather can’t make its mind up. Looks as if it’s brightening out of one window and grey and horrible out of the other. I suspect grey and horrible will win out. Bathrooms to clean today and a cupboard or two to tackle. On a whim yesterday I ordered a Christmas present for my neighbour’s four year old. They have been very kind to me this year, and I saw this and got quite excited about about it. My GS had lots of PlayMobil and he loved it. I loved it too! I wish it was as easy to buy presents for nearly sixteen year olds as it is for four year olds!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning everyone, the sun is trying to emerge from behind stormy looking clouds here in my corner of Wiltshire, I presume there’s been rain overnight (I slept soundly and don’t hear a thing with my hearing aids out!)
Yesterday a spent some time sorting through a few drawers, very satisfying as I hate muddle. Other than that it was a very quiet day. Today’s crafts meeting this morning and WI this afternoon. DDog has her lovely dog walker and goodness knows what DH is doing, yesterday seemed to be spent shuffling lots of pieces of paper around!
I hope everyone has a lovely day x

Good morning all. It's a sunny start on the Angus coast and a towel wash is almost ready to peg out. Tai Chi Workshop went well yesterday, but I was totally exhausted after it so perhaps the time has come to step back a little now.
Safe travel home today grandmattie - I hope all has gone well with your DL in your absence.
Urms your Joie de vivre is so infectious!
Today will be taken up with paperwork for me, no doubt interspersed with mad dashes to rescue the towels from the 'intermittent showers' 😉
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its currently 8°C.

Good to see you posting, Ash and pleased to hear you are receiving excellent care.
Cardiac blood tests seem to be back within hours. My latest ones were done at 4pm and I received a call from the surgery, with results at 9am the following morning.

Yesterday, I had a very upsetting conversation with my friend's husband, he is heartbroken. We can only pray for a miracle.
On a more positive note, I managed to catch one of the GPs at church, because the PP's shingles was spreading and we were very concerned about his other eye.
She is a semi retired partner in his practice, so we just cut out the middleman. 😉 Some of the receptionists are actually our parishioners, but we wanted to be discrete.
We also arranged for a parishioner to give the more boisterous of the two dogs a temporary home. I find her exhausting!

Today, I need to catch up on the chores I didn't do yesterday. I was struggling a bit, to say the least! 😴😴😴😴

Safe journey, GM, and best wishes for all those, who have medical appointments
Enjoy your day everyone, whatever your plans.

Good morning all from the Black country where the sun is trying to show its face.
No plans today so will hopefully finish my book.
Glad you saw a doctor yesterday Ash so nice when NHS is working.
Mick hope all goes well with your appointments.
Safe journey home grandMattie .
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some 🌞.

Good morning Mick and all.
Mick, my blood doesn’t come easily either, so water is a great idea. Maybe wear a warm jumper ? That can be helpful too.
Good luck!

We are off for a dog walk, Then it’s singing group for me.

Good morning all from Glasgow, heavy rain and high winds of last night have stopped, this morning, damp with a crimson sunrise.

Tootling half asleep downstairs this morning, too late I realised I hadn’t switched off the house alarm, a rude and very noisy awakening. DH slept through it! #my hero.
Once I had repaired the puncture on my bike yesterday, I had a short trial bike ride, suggested by my physiotherapist, to exercise my hip. No further pain this morning = progress.
Pilates this afternoon. I am determined to keep this old body going. 😄

Much love and hugs for all in need of some support through troubling times.

Good morning from Shropshire.

I have the dentist too today Jax.I think we both feel the same about dental appointments and will be glad to be home later.

As we will be in Shrewsbury we plan to do some shopping.

Poor little Henry is off to minor injuries as he hurt his leg at the trampoline park yesterday. The medics were with him for 40 minutes but advised an X-ray today if he still can’t put weight on it.

Glad you had such prompt treatment Ash.Thoughts with those unwell or with worries and safe travels to all on the move.

harrigran Tue 08-Nov-22 08:44:40

Good morning from a sunny NE after a very windy night.
Pottered around yesterday but did not do anything significant.
Today I must vacuum upstairs, I keep a small bagless vacuum upstairs which makes it easier for me to manage.
Thoughts are with poorly people.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, set to stay dry for the day. Not like yesterday with rain for most of the day, but I did manage to get down to Sainsbury's and back without getting too wet, and changed my top for a smaller size. It's a pain as they have done away with their changing rooms, so everything has to be tried on at home.

A morning of tidying then early lunch, and out to a health walk this afternoon; be nice to see the group as I missed last week due to heavy rain showers.

Hope all goes well for those with medical appointments today; wishing everyone a pleasant day and safe travels.

Nannagarra Tue 08-Nov-22 08:45:33

Good morning from Sefton. Without meaning to be contradictory, Gala, the corner where I live is dry, mild and sunny! I’m wafting some better weather over to you.
Tai Chi for me today, the last before the C…. break. I’ll replace it with Pilates.
Like you grandMattie, family members are returning from Bristol. A grand time has been had.
I’m pleased to hear the good news from Ashcombe. Now to read in detail all the posts…
Have the best Tuesday possible.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
My coach trip to the Lowry gallery was disappointing as it’s closed on Mondays! The rest of the coach went off to the Trafford Centre and a handful of us had to find something else to do.
So I visited the Imperial War Museum, very good but I’m war worn out. Then to the nearby outlet and bought a soft pale blue woolly hat with pom pom. But hadn’t meant to do ANY shopping…the coach firm should make it clear about the gallery. Even though I’m not a fan of Lowry, the gallery has other paintings too…
The whole Salford Quays area is amazing, ultra modern and space age.
Music club this afternoon.
Hope your appointments go well Mick and all the best to Ashcombe for a good recovery 💐

Good morning everyone from a bright Essex by the sea.

I left DD2's hourse at 7.45 yesterday morning to get a head start on the disruption planned for the M25. I just missed it and was home by 9.15.

Sunday evening we were at the Shaftesbury Theatre watching DGD1 dance. Lots of dancing and theatre schools took part and it was beautiful. A mad dash to Charing Cross to get the train home.

Today I am having coffee with a neighbour this morning and hoping to finish my current jigsaw later.

I'm glad you are home Ash, may your recovery go well.

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone xxx

Gala Tue 08-Nov-22 08:51:17

Hey caught it Nannag. Thanks. It is brightening up here now. Can see actual blue sky & the clouds are white not grey. But it's still very wet underfoot with a HUGE puddle outside my house. Can you keep wafting please?

luluaugust Tue 08-Nov-22 08:59:51

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A house sorting out day as I suddenly find I have two GC and my brother over the weekend. We have had so few visitors staying since lockdown its a bit of a shock to the system.
Glad you got your appointment Ash
Safe journey home to Kent gM
Hope your hospital day goes well Mick

EkwaNimitee Tue 08-Nov-22 09:06:25

Good morning Mick and everyone from brightish Carlisle where sun could be possible but showers are more likely.

Welcome to the west grandMattie, you don't have to get the hosepipe out so often and the rain is supposed to be good for the complexion!

Today I hope to get out in the garden and get my raised bed in position plus get on with more mundane stuff like vacuuming and bathroom cleaning. Later I shall carry on with my apparently long novel. It's hard to tell when it's on a Kindle but the first of the trilogy was v long, I don't think the author (Colleen McCullough) does short ones!

Have an enjoyable day all.

Good morning from a very bright West York's,we are just deciding what to do today ,would have liked a train journey but they are too unpredictable .Hope everyone has a good day .

Nannagarra Tue 08-Nov-22 09:18:12

I’m wafting with gusto Gala. You will SHOUT when I can stop, won’t you?

Wyllow3 Tue 08-Nov-22 09:27:46

Good Morning from S Yorks.
Greyduster the sun has just come out here but before I have time to whizz some across it looks like it will be gone and tomorrow sun is promised instead.

Yesterdays Damp work didnt take as long as feared, I had the house back to myself for the afternoon, but did overdo things the rest of the day so today its a visit to elderly Quaker then see how it goes as no must do's. (mind you, I did pay some bills and wrap some c mas pressies, I like to do it bit by bit not last minute rush)

the very bests with medical and dental visits today, "morning GN's."

Greyduster Tue 08-Nov-22 09:56:33

I’ve given up on ☀️ now, so no need to whizz across, Wyllow😁! Have a good day.

Blossoming Tue 08-Nov-22 10:02:09

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cold and damp in my corner of Lancashire, but the sky is blue now.

Hope all today’s appointments go well Mick and glad you were able to see a GP Ashcombe. Good news about your appointment too Beechnut.

Hope you can get some rest today Marydoll, and safe journey GrandMattie.

Good luck with the dental appointments Jax and Susan.

My usual routine today of housework, physio, cycling and Gaelic studies. As the rain has stopped and it’s quite windy I’m hoping to get some laundry out on the washing line.

Have a good day all 🍂🍁

The gas man has come and is sucking his teeth over the boiler. Fingers crossed. Nothing else planned for today though keeping warm may be the main activity.
