Can we come to some sort of arrangement. I'd happily swap the harder centres for the soft cream ones?

I put cakes in the plastic ones, they keep well.

Well, for the next day or so, then they are gone!

Fleurpepper

Oh yes, I would just buy the Hazel Whirls- all the cream ones are just YUK.

I will probably only bue 1 tin, for the tin- and the rest good quality real chocolates, dark only.

Sadly the 'tins' are not tins any longer, just plastic, so no good to keep for cakes.

Bluebelle I am glad I am not the only one, who can happily get through Christmas without even seeing a chocolate, let alone eating one. Not keen on it at all, far too sweet.

Hetty58 Sat 12-Nov-22 08:02:58

A colleague would bring us all the soft centres, as her family only liked the chewy, hard, toffee sort.

TillyTrotter Sat 12-Nov-22 07:58:48

Thank you for that information Saxifrage I have just ordered such a tin with DH’s two caramel favourites. 😊

Last year my son bought me a box of Quality street with my name on it and only green triangles or purple ones in it - amazing.

We treat ourselves every Christmas to handmade chocolates from a local chocolatier.

They are very expensive, so every single chocolate is savoured and slowly eaten🙂

Cadbury's chocolate is vile now. Sickly sweet, greasy and slimy. Yuk.

Oldbat1 Fri 11-Nov-22 21:33:42

Cadbury chocolate taste has definitely changed since it was bought by American company. Used to love Roses but won’t make mistake again of buying Cadbury anything.

Kateykrunch Fri 11-Nov-22 21:26:10

Oh nooooooo……..yum, yum, what a big bum !

BlueBelle Fri 11-Nov-22 19:03:33

Don’t like quality street or roses not too keen on chocolate at all

Fleurpepper Fri 11-Nov-22 18:59:56

Real chocolate, and no plam oil.

Going out to feed them horses!

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 11-Nov-22 18:51:10

I am impressed Kateykrunch. I dare not buy anything like that as I am not to be trusted around chocolate...

Posts then ducks 🙀 …….
I won’t fight for any Quality Street chocolate as I prefer Cadbury’s Roses especially the Hazel Whirls.

Bellanonna Fri 11-Nov-22 17:59:55

Well I’m up for the green triangles too. So fierce competition there!

CraftyGranny Fri 11-Nov-22 17:57:45

I loved the Brown ones, but I don't think they do them any more

Spinnaker Fri 11-Nov-22 17:53:36

Will never be the same for me now there's no Peanut Cracknel grin

NotTooOld Fri 11-Nov-22 17:52:23

Calendargirl - will have to fight you for the green triangles!

Redhead56 Fri 11-Nov-22 17:51:21

I don’t indulge in sweets much fear of dentist but I do like the purple ones.

Calendargirl Fri 11-Nov-22 17:49:40

Save me the green triangles please.
