Weekend to be so warm and sunny!

We spent the weekend in Cardiff to attend the Wales Argentina rugby match. The weather was so glorious I left my coat at the hotel.
It was different waking up back home definitely a drop in the temperature.

Yesterday I walked over Hyde Park from the V&A to speakers corner with DD1 and GD. The weather was glorious, we didn’t need coats or jackets and the trees glowed in their yellow colours. A day to remember.

Yes, wonderfully warm up here in the north. I've had a really successful day with laundry and collecting leaves which the wind kindly gathered together for me yesterday. All good. Yippee!

Very grey, damp and dismal here in the north - a typical November day, really, if a tad warmer than the norm, however we’re told it’s going to be more normal for November temperatures next week. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

The unusual mildness is also great for anyone like me with arthritic joints and bones and yes Jennifer Eccles great we don't have to put the heating on

Yes, cosmos budding and in bloom here. Roses have just finished. Rooms are 21 degrees on the sunny side of the house with the windows open.

It's cloudy but mild here south of Dartmoor. It's so strange,
- I still have summer flowers blooming, and also spring bulbs are coming up already. Nice though it is to have it so mild, it is nevertheless a worrying sign of climate change.

We have a high of 18 degrees forecast here in the south west. It is lovely for the DGC at weekends as they are outdoors types snd I don't have to think up indoor activities.
I wonder what will happen come the spring with the gardens and nature?

About 30 years ago I remember waiting for a bus in the late afternoon from town for ages. The wind was bitterly cold- the type that manages to cut through you and brings tears to the eyes.
I always associate November with fog and drizzle but this mildness is a strange thing.

Planning a walk this morning and an afternoon tidying up the garden

It’s wonderful isn’t it? So great to be out and about in, not only warmth but also sunshine.

Plus of course this mild spell will help us all reduce our fuel bills. Our heating seems to shut off for most of the day.

It’s not unheard of though. I remember a similarly mild November back in the 80s. I can clearly remember a spell when I walked to the school to collect my children with just a jumper and no coat.

We all know it will turn cold sooner or later though so let’s make the most of it while it lasts.

We are having a run down to the south coast today for a walk in the sunshine.

It’s a beautiful sunny morning in mid Wales. Regardless of concerns about global warming I’m going to enjoy being out in my garden while I can.

It's thick fog here in Nottingham. Grey, damp and miserable.

No sun here in London it’s overcast and misty hopefully it will cheer up later.

As an aside, I see that David Austen roses are withdrawing some of their roses, because they are no longer coping with the climate. Shropshire lad being a notable one.

They are testing roses in far flung countries to grow ones that will cope with the climate.

Yes I do agree, and it is very unseasonal. But I simply can’t walk and not enjoy it, just back from an hour or so walking with the dog. I think the light levels can’t but help lift your spirits.

Like Hetty, I would be far happier if, as well as being sunny, it was cold and frosty.

Very foggy here in South Cambs when l walked the dog but really mild. I have washing ready to go out.
Hopefully the sun will shine and my spirits will be uplifted. The dog and dh are not doing very well at the moment.

It is forecast to be sunshine all the way today in Oxfordshire, so I have stripped my bed ahead of time so that everything will dry outside.

loving it, a true indian summer. The birds were very loud yesterday and the starling are practicing for the murmurations

No messing indoors today, no washing, just sheer enjoyment out on my bike for a good uplifting ride on country lanes and through orchard land

I walked the dog yesterday morning without any coat. It was glorious, low sun making long shadows, birds singing, golden leaves crunching, squirrels busy filling their larders with acorns, gosh just divine.
