Good Morning Everyone,
A dark start but its dry and clear this morning in brackley .
Today , I will take the opportunity and get the bus to Bicester , because I await confirmation as to more blood tests , as the person who rang me gave me a Monday /Tuesday option and just turn up .
But I do not think like that I want something in writing with the right details on so I can do it .
Take Care,
Mick

A bit dull weatherwise in Northumberland today. Am just pottering about doing a few indoor chores then out for food shopping before singing practise for our vocal group tonight, my highlight of the day. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Good afternoon,
A rather murky sort of day here today, though the mist has lifted a little bit for now, but rain is forecast for later.
Went to a coffee morning group this am, but will spend the afternoon doing a few chores before settling down with my book.
Hope those of you feeling not so good have a better day today.

Good morning everyone from a dull damp Co Armagh
I’m just back from shopping , I buy PJ s for all the Grandchildren at this time of year , even the teenagers! I tried to stop doing it , but there was an uproar , anyway eight pairs of assorted nightwear bought
It wasn’t too crowded , last year we went later and the place was packed
I’ve tried getting them online but that met with mixed success
We went for coffee and cake on completion 😋
While I was waiting for Daughter to come with the pjs a lady of about my age asked me where the main door was ! I was thinking about it so long that she anxiously asked “ can you hear me dear “ , I nearly choked , but I did send her the right way !
Then the coffee and Portuguese tart arrived and the pastry was so tough I couldn’t bite through it , I thought my Daughter laughed rather immoderately!

Cleared old settees out early doors as new ones arriving. Instead of one 2 seater and one 3 seater they have delivered the 3 seater and 1 chair!! They have kindly left the chair until the correct settee is delivered though they can’t tell me when.
Off to collect new air fryer now.
Have a good day everyone.

It’s my eldest sons birthday today 45 don’t know where the years have gone! Sitting watching a Christmas film my one secret indulgence!so that’s my day ahead. Hope everyone keeps well.

Good morning from West Sussex by the sea. I took too long to get going and the blue sky is changing to cloudy. I have radiators to sand and paint while there is bright light and I can have doors open for fresh air.

I still have some bulbs to plant and eventually found where I had hidden a bag of bulb compost from last year. I hope they are not too late in to brighten the late winter/early spring- winter aconite and chionodoxa (glory of the snow). The spell check does not like that second one - it has tried to change it and there is now a sulky red line under it.

Sandpaper in hand, I bid you a good day.

Good morning everyone, the sun is shining here in Wiltshire after a murky start.
DH is off to DD’s for a week or more so he’s flapping around while I make a vegetable stew for him to take for tonight. He’s blown the trip switch 5 times because he won’t believe that the battery charger is faulty 😳🙄so keeps trying….I’m going to lose it if he does it again because every damn time I have to reset the cooker/alarm clock/ heating clocks that flash wildly until done 🤬
DDog is still waiting for him to take her for a walk…..
I hope you all have a lovely week x

Good morning all from another dreich day in Harrogate
Church service yesterday was good. One of our churches ploys is to invite mums who are waiting at the school next door to come in and have a cuppa, the Hope is they will bring their children to Sunday School eventually?
I’m on duty this afternoon. See what gives. First I have to chat to my school friend, then we have a bathroom designer coming, then my time to go to do teas and coffee!
At sometime I shall have to phone the dentist about my tooth that fell out yesterday!
Our hospital have a drop in policy for blood tests Mick also Sainsburies, the surgery is appointment only. But the bloods places do need to know what they are looking for.
Your flat sounds like a flower shop Ash which can’t be bad!
Have the best day possible folks

Blossoming Mon 14-Nov-22 09:56:05

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cloudy and misty in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°C.

Good luck with the blood test appointments. Today I must remember to order my repeat prescription and do a blood pressure reading for the nurse practitioner.

My usual routine of physio, cycling and Gaelic and I also have some information to follow up online about a family member. I have been documenting the stories of all those who served in WW1 and WW2 and I was thrilled to find a photograph of one who died in France at a young age. It is obviously from a newspaper but I have been unable to find out which one so far. More digging through online archives.

Hope your DH is improving MultiCSS you are having more than your fair share of troubles. I too have heard that Prime is only available through Asda and it seems to be in vogue at the moment. I wonder if the rehydration sachets you can get from outdoor and camping shops would do a similar job.

Marydoll please follow your DH’s advice and rest!

Happy Monday, hope all who are under the weather feel better soon🌻

Good morning all from a another sunny day in Glasgow. Yesterday was so mild and sunny that I almost forgot it was November. We had such a good day pottering outside and sitting in the sunshine for a coffee break, no jackets required. Hopefully, today will be a repeat of the same. 🤞

A trip to the garden centre later as we are running out of compost and I would like to buy more bulbs for the many pots we have dotted around the garden. A day out together, whoopee.

Have the best day possible all.

Good morning from a very foggy day in Essex by the sea. I can hear the foghorns out in the estuary.

I've already cleaned both bathrooms, next I need to start clearing the hall as we are having new flooring fitted later this week.

DH has gone to work on his boat, I hope he finds his way ok.

Have a lovely Monday everyone xxx

Good morning from a misty, grey W Kent. DB still with us until lunchtime so I think it will be a sit and chat morning.
We all enjoyed yesterday at DD's house, she did us a lovely Sunday lunch. It is quite rare for us all to be together now, 2 DGD's getting ready for mock GCSE exams.
DF still in hospital with Covid, I know officially the numbers are dropping but I know more people with it now than before.
Have a good day if possible everyone.

Good morning Mick and all who follow. I missed posting yesterday as I slept late and then watched the Cenotaph parade. The haar stayed with us all day yesterday and I had the lights on by 3.30. Today there's a bit if wind so the clouds are moving around a bit. A little while ago I'm convinced there was a glimpse of blue!
How lovely to receive all those flowers Ash! They must give you such a boost.
I love that photo of the cuddly penguin, kitty (?). I can't click back to the previous page to check without losing this post for some reason.
So sorry to hear your DH is so poorly multi
Safe travels as you set off in your holiday Ginny.
I too am a Strictly fan and very much enjoyed the opening dance by the professionals last night - beautifully moving.
There's nothing of any interest happening here abouts - just a day of mundane necessities. Wishing everyone a good day with peace and joy aplenty x

Good morning from a brightening NE.
SIL came yesterday and we sorted out some paperwork, I like him there when I am paying bills online, second pair of eyes for account numbers etc.
His father served during the war but is just finding out information now, apparently he never talked about his army days. We looked up his regiment and found they were at the Normandy landings and fought in Caen. They were also at Arnhem. He was also in Germany at the end of the war where he bought a camera, name and address of shop was on the camera, SIL looked it up and it is still a camera shop.
I cooked a beef joint on a bed of root vegetables and we had all the trimmings with it. We had a nice bottle of red wine and toasted SIL'S father and thanked him for his service to the country.
Washing day today, I will get everything done and ironed as I can't bear to see a full basket.
Thoughts are with those under par.

Good morning all from a misty Black country.
Yesterday's pre birthday tea for Dgs was given a miss I had a bout of sickness and diarrhoea, rang DS to tell him we wouldn't be going looks like it will be Friday now before we can see them.
Haven't read through yet will catch up later I won't be going anywhere today still feel yuk.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some 🌞.

EkwaNimitee Mon 14-Nov-22 09:08:01

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where, currently, we have blue skies and quite a lot of white clouds. I think it's forecast to deteriorate at the end of the day.
Yesterday I went out for another walk in the country park, lots of families out enjoying the fine weather while we have it.
Otherwise, it was reading the papers and, still, my very long novel.
Today, it's my usual laundry and housework day. If I don't have a basic schedule, little gets done! It's not written in tablets of stone though.

Todays moan: I do wish GN would stop those very irritating videos interspersing the posts. They don't appear on the iPad, just the computer but I find it easier to type on the latter.

Have the best possible day everyone, especially if you or yours are poorly.

Wyllow3 Mon 14-Nov-22 08:55:29

Morning from a misty S Yorks, but the multi-coloured beech tree is visible at the end of the garden.

I love reading everyone's days and my best wishes for poorlies and dear ones who are poorly.

Meeting a G'netter this morning for coffee and after its a maybe for the gym or getting down to some tasks at home.

BlueSapphire Mon 14-Nov-22 08:39:12

A quick good morning from a misty murky Northampton; slept in this morning and forgot it was yoga so when I finally remembered, it was a quick leap out of bed and straight into the shower! Just having a swift mug of tea then will need to get my things together in about 10 minutes.

Had a lovely time yesterday celebrating elder DGD's 15th birthday with DS and family, We went to Pizza Express (her choice), and the food was delicious. Could only eat half of my enormous pizza, so the rest came home with me and it will be tonight's dinner.

Haven't read anything else this morning, so will come back to this thread after yoga.
Have a good Monday.

Naughtyneine Mon 14-Nov-22 08:31:16

It's tipping it down here in South West Somerset. Murky grey skies are not beckoning me to get going this morning. Yesterday was a glorious day and we spent most of it in the garden...planting and cutting back and generally tidying up. I even managed half an hour on the lounger accompanied by Dog1 who actually thinks it's his personal garden seat!!!! Good luck with the hospital/ doctor visits Mick and Ash and wishing your DH a speedy recovery Multi.
Have a happy day everyone.

baubles Mon 14-Nov-22 08:30:23

Good morning all from dry and bright South Lanarkshire.

It was good to spend a little while with DD and family yesterday. The littlest one cuddled in to me whilst the six year old practiced her presentation on the solar system which she will give to her class this week. The eldest spent time with her Grandad writing down the story of her Great Grandfather’s time in Burma during the war. One child was at a friend’s house but flew in before we left to shower us with hugs. We are no longer needed for regular child care so grab the opportunity to see them when we can. Their weekends are so busy that DD has to write a schedule of who is taking which child where and when.

Today I think we may drive to the coast to give the daft dug a run on the beach.

Have the best day possible everyone.

ginny Mon 14-Nov-22 08:29:51

Good morning from a misty N. Bucks.
Almost ready for a gradual journey down to Southampton where we will stay overnight before boarding ship tomorrow.
Thoughts with all who have troubles or illness. Hope today is kind.

hollysteers Mon 14-Nov-22 08:29:46

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
I hope you get your hospital visits sorted Mick and it sounds as if you could open a flower shop Ashcombe💐
The run through for our next gigs was fun here yesterday, if tiring, the sitting room full of guitars, music stands etc and I am so out of practice having people round, I gave coffee to tea people and vice versa.. There is a duet which needs memorising, we made a right hash of it.
A funeral today of a member of the music club and I am picking up a friend without transport.
Can’t believe how hot I have been in bed in November.
Hope you have a good day and thoughts to anyone with troubles.

Gala Mon 14-Nov-22 08:26:46

Good morning from Sefton where it's a grey day. Just that. No wind, no rain, no mist & no sun.

Singing group for folk wot can't sing this morning. That should cheer us up on this very grey day. We always have lots of larfs. That's it for the day , no other plans.

flowers for mcsshop who is having a tough time & ((hugs)) for those that may need one.

Pittcity Mon 14-Nov-22 08:26:25

Good morning from foggy Colchester. Another mild, dry day here.
Housework, laundry and shopping today as we were out all weekend.
Watching the news of how bad the money situation for some people and feeling grateful that I am able to afford to put my heating on if necessary as I can cut out on luxuries to compensate.
I am also very lucky to be able to walk into my GP surgery on a weekday morning and see somebody within the hour.
Feeling grateful this morning....love to all 🦩x
