I need a hug

A hug from me too xxx

We could all do with a hug from time to time, don't we? Sometimes when things go wrong, and they can seem like silly little things, we need reassurance that things will turn out all right in the end.

Another hug from me dte. I’m a good hugger - plenty of squishy fat I know how you feel, and this miserable weather doesn’t help. I prescribe a nice hot drink (of your choice), curl up under a comfy throw and watch something lighthearted on the telly. Be kind to yourself - you deserve it

It is hard not getting a hug. I'm on my own, my marriage was awful, a horrible selfish man and we never had children. My sister is the only family I have, the last time she hugged me was at our mum's funeral 10 years ago and my friends and I seemed to got out of the way of hugs since Covid. A big hug would be lovely some days.

Sadly, yes. The only hugsi get are my son and Grandson, his Mum has Aspergers and only hugs occasionally...can't remember when my husband willingly hugged me? Probably 2019 when my Mum died. I do hope you know someone who gives willing hugs...a friend maybe?

Hugs are so important to us. I live alone and don't get many hugs, but yesterday my daughter hugged me tightly and it felt great.

I am sharing that hug with you, close your eyes and imagine it.

I do sympathise and have to say I feel very much the same. I wake up every day and go to bed every night in tears without my DH of over 50 yrs. I know a lot of you have been through bereavement too and I'm not the only one but a hug would be very nice for all of us. I hope you soon feel brighter.

When my brother was 8 or 9, he bought a couple of mice and a cage and hid them in his wardrobe. Mum had expressly forbidden mice as pets so he was definitely crossing her red line here! Because mice smell, he kept opening his bedroom window. Sadly for him, mice not only smell, but they also squeak! Small brother was made to take mice and cage back to the pet shop. This story is to make you smile - and comes with a hug.
