I had my first Christmas card on Saturday.
We went to dinner at a friend's house and she gave me our card when we were leaving.
Mine are all written and ready to post. I've had to do them early as we are going on holiday on the 29th November and won't be back until mid December.

Postal strikes are likely to affect us so I must get organised.

I’m expecting one too any day . She’s always Mrs Early. She says she likes to do them before December with having family birthdays then.

We got our first one on Saturday too, but yes it was from overseas and the sender always posts early.
It’s nice though, made feel Christmassy, it’s on display until next Saturday and then I’ll put away until we get quite a few more

Far too early for me. I can't subscribe to the school of thought that sees Christmas preparations as something to be got out of the way. When I was a small child, my parents made Christmas SO special but with none of the commercialism and conspicuous spending that has crept in. The magic they made has stayed with me throughout my life and now my children and grandchildren are touched by it too.

I’ve never had one that early! But will start writing mine soon, ready to post in very early December - several are going to far flung places so need to be posted early anyway. December is already looking very busy so that’ll be one thing done. I might break my ‘no carols before December’ rule, and have a favourite CD playing while I write them, though, and probably a mug of mulled wine too. 🎄

I’ve received one and posted two.
