I am more than happy for transwomen to lead a peaceful and productive life, as did my late cousin who I had a good relationship with.

However I do not want to share changing rooms or loos with them. I nearly always use the accessible toilet so why can’t they?

If you think my comment should not be on this thread please just ignore me.

Your comment is valid and I agree with it.

I think most people are now ‘aware’ of transgender issues.
Seems we need a week for everything now.
My motto is to live and let live usually, but the behaviour of the trans lobby has put me right off.

I have been absolutely amazed by all the support I have seen out there this week. Even computer games offering free in game add ons to celebrate and support trans people

I think it's so special when humans lift up other humans

Me too. More celebrating and acceptance of difference the more people can understand and accept each other. And we cant do that without it being brought out and discussed, why should someone have to hide away?

For such a minority group its amazing the amount of publicity they get.By drawing attention to people we probably have never come across surely this will lead to more prejudice rather than acceptance.

Hear hear👏👏

I agree Kirkubbin. Lots of people will get adverse publicity which they don't want. They would have lived the lives they wanted without all the hype and in the public domain.
Not all want the world and his father to know what they are doing and too much publicity can be an adverse effect.

For 18 years we had a much-loved grandson. For 2 years up to now we have had an equally much-loved granddaughter. She is the same person. We have lost nothing. The only fear I have is how the world treats her.

A legitimate fear. But if she has a loving family, it's a good start. ❤️

Strangely Gagajo All the transgender people I know and its growing in number all the time are Female to male transitions .
I've heard only good things about their treatment apart from one who'se older relatives wouldn't accept him and called him horrible names.
They dont see those relatives anymore ,one bravely stood at his fathers funeral and told people he had been their daughter but was now a loved son.Sadly his mum died too just a few weeks later .
Its not an easy thing to do ,never done without a lot of soul searching and a huge commitment .
I just wish there weren't so many ,,mainly older folk who condemn them or their motives for the change .
Simply I believe people are scared of things they dont understand .There is much more acceptance from the young

This week is Transgender Awareness week to help raise the visibility of trans and gender non conforming people and the struggles they face.
