Thank you all for the lovely Birthday wishes 🥰
Giving my pots a bit of a boost after the winter
Good Morning Everyone,
Another dark and wet start to the day here in brackley .
My blood test went OK , I chose to walk the mile or so distance to the surgery as I had time , I did it in three slots stopping to sit down where seats where , but keeping my heart working and the blood circulating gave me a quick and easy blood test , I taxied back though .
Got home after a hour the Churchill Hospital in Oxford rang me to check that I had had it done , due mis hearing on the phone .
Anyway today , I have the chiropodist as 9 ,and then go on my coach day trip to Studley Castle near Redditch for a Xmas Buffet and a festive show after .
Take Care,
Mick
Thank you all for the lovely Birthday wishes 🥰
Hope you are having a lovely day Aggie🎉
Late birthday greetings for Aggie!💐
Happy Birthday Aggie 🎉🥳🎂🥂🍾
I’m glad that your ear pain settled down, BlueSapphire and didn’t need further investigation.
Happy birthday Aggie 🎂💐.
Pleased your feeling better, Ash.
grandMattie like others I don’t think you need to berate yourself - you’re far from lazy, and in fact could do with taking a little more “me” time otherwise you’ll make yourself ill and then be unable to help anyone. 💐
Wishing you a Happy Birthday aggie 🎂🎉
Good morning all from a very wet Co Durham. Not a day for being outdoors. Hope it stops before I have to collect dgd from school.
Glad Ash is feeling better.
I’m slowly getting to know you all, love reading your posts.
Enjoy your day at sea Ginny
Happy Birthday Aggie

Happy birthday Aggie. Have a lovely day.
Happy birthday aggie treasure those cards. 💐🎂
Many happy returns of the day to you aggie across the water! And 👋 to you Purplepixie it’s nice to have you join us.
Happy Birthday aggie 💐
Hand made cards are the ones to treasure. Made with love.
Good morning from a damp Co Armagh
Wallowing in a sea of birthday cards here 🥰 some of my grandchildren still make me cards , they are treasured
grandMattie no wonder you are tired , I admire your work but please take a dear breath and relax
You too Marydoll
Good morning everyone.
We are at sea cruising in choppy waters. Heading for the Bay of Biscay so hope the weather improves by the time we get there.
Plenty to do on board, concerts, talks, shows . Just waiting for a craft session to begin.
Wishing you all a good day.
Ha ha Marydoll losing the plot. Easily done some days.
Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s raining heavily in my corner of Lancashire.
Glad your blood test went well Mick, enjoy your trip today.
Please look after yourself GrandMattie, you do so much for others and need to put yourself first for a little while. It’s great to hear from you Ash and hope those antibiotics put things right.
That sounds like a lovely place for an outing Taichinan, Mr. B is taking me shopping today but it will not be as interesting as that. I have to collect my prescription. The pharmacist is just inside Morrisons so will take the opportunity to do a little shopping while I’m there. I can’t carry much, just as well
I so seldom get out at the moment.
You are doing so well Urms it must make you feel better.
Have a good day all, sending best wishes and healing thoughts to all who are under the weather 🌹
Good morning from a very wet and windy East Midlands.
Try again
Marydoll
*Grandmadinosaur *, thank you! I thought tomorrow was the 17th!
We are going for dinner on Friday, I think that is what confused me!
I have wrapping to do too.
I have indeed lost the plot! DH says today is Thursday, not Wednesday!!! 🤯
Good morning from wet S Lanarkshire, not actually raining so I hope we are far enough west to miss the worst of it.
Anyhow it will be good for my newly laid turf. I have plucked up the courage and had my small back garden properly ‘made over’- I think landscaped is a bit too posh for what has been done, but I am really delighted with the men’s work.
I have a lovely path from the garden gate to the front of my garden room, lawn enlarged a bit etc. I’ll only need pots now which will be much better for me. That’s the next task.
The garden actually looks much bigger now which is really pleasing.
I’ll try and attach a picture. Which won’t do it justice because it won’t show the untidy state it was before!
I am posting without reading today because I have a fair bit of admin needing done before heading into Glasgow to meet long time friends for our ‘once a year lunch’ which, given our ages, we have decided will be our ‘our twice a year lunch’!
The wife and my husband and I (and eventually our first baby) shared a house in Newcastle when they were doing their post grad degrees. So lucky to still be in each other’s lives.
I’ll catch up with everyone’s news in the train.
Wishing everyone the best of days 🦩🦩🦩
Ziplock, thank you for your concern about my ear the other day. Glad to report that my ear gradually cleared over the day and is now fine and seems back to normal.
Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton, just hope it stops raining by the time I need to go out to my dance classes. I really need to be there today as it is our last chance to practice before our performance on Sunday, so am hoping that the buses don't mess me around as they did last week.
Went out to the well-being cafe yesterday afternoon. My elderly friend was very pleased with the cardigan I had made for her, and wore it for the rest of the afternoon. Spent a pleasant afternoon chatting, knitting and eating cake (only one slice though!).
A.morning of pottering and tidying then out to dance, and home again in time for a Sainsbury's delivery. Hoping they have the dried fruit I ordered as I have promised to make a tea bread for our dance event on Sunday, and it needs soaking in hot tea over night. I need to make it tomorrow, as I am out all day on Saturday.
Glad to hear that things are not as serious as first thought, Ash, hope you make a swift recovery.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a very wet, dark and gloomy north. It looks set in for the day, so I don’t plan on venturing out today unless I really have to. There are plenty of things I can be getting on with at home today that have been a bit neglected. I’ve got a zoom class later this morning too. It’s days like today when I’m happy for it to still be on zoom.
Not read all the posts yet, will return after breakfast to read them, but wish everyone well and hope that today is a brighter one for all.
Good morning from Durham. It’s grim, with the third day of continuous pouring rain.
BF has decided to stay an extra week with her brother, so no airport pickup today. However, DD2 has her usual hospital appointment to have her foot wound inspected and re-bandaged this afternoon. She might want me to take her but if not, I’ll return her little dog and nip into Newcastle, as it’s time I started some serious Christmas shopping.
gM I don’t think you realize how active you are - compared to so many others on the GM thread - you put most of us to shame. I suspect the difficult conversation you had with your DL continues to weigh heavily on your conscience, as you genuinely thought her care and subsequent move would prove much easier than it has. Sometimes mental exhaustion can be worse than physical. Please slow down or you’ll be the one needing help 💐x
Ash good to hear you’re home and things aren’t quite as bad as feared. Look after yourself.
Best wishes to all.
