Just spilled a glass of water all over me as being lost in thought turned into falling asleep sitting up ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyone else done this one before lol

I boiled a kettle of water for a coffee, then carefully put a couple of spoons of instant coffee into the boiled kettle, instead of my mug. Tea tasted weird out of the kettle that afternoon.

AreWeThereYet Iโ€™ve donโ€™t that exact same thing with two different colour boots. Mortifying.
This week Iโ€™ve tried to get into someone elseโ€™s car and got wet by throwing water on my icy windscreen and it flew back at me when the wipers started up. Iโ€™m a right numpty๐Ÿคฆ

I once went to Tesco wearing one black boot and one tan boot. They were the same style and didn't notice till I got out of the car. Mr A was creased up and so was the lady in the next car when she saw me going 'Oh no!' and pointing out my boots to Mr A.

I once put my keys in the fridge and a bottle of milk on the worktop.

I've gone shopping in my slippers before. Went out to buy a newspaper without my purse - thank goodness for the emergency ยฃ2 coin in the glove compartment.

I've gone to work as a teacher with two odd shoes on TWICE.
They looked almost identical but one was blue the other black and one had a leather heel one a wooden at least an inch and a half higher. My head would not let me go home to change them I had to sit with the class giggling all morning as I lurched around like Quasimodo.
I slipped on black ice with a huge cardboard box full of marking I had been doing at home. I shouted "OH sh..", not realising there was an older pupil there. He came over and picked me up and the papers. whispering we'll say sugar shall we and not a senior moment." I was about 35 at the time.

*Houseplant Queen*- snap!! I felt so stupid after tipping the whole new packet of coffee into the cafetiere. Och!

I had a senior moment at the Pharmacy yesterday afternoon.
There is a counter with a bell but you can't see where they are dispensing. I rang the bell and a young chap popped up from under the counter and asked my name. I was so shocked I forgot and admitted it. He apologised for surprising me and we both laughed and I remembered my name.
He went off to find the prescription and asked for my address which I told him, adding "No senior moment there".
He collapsed laughing and someone who had joined the queue but did not know what had happened previously looked at us as if we were a pair of lunatics as we were both laughing so much.
Alls well that ends well and he told me to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and take care.
DH did want to know why there were black mascara tears running down my face and I got the giggles again and could not tell him.smile

Another incident just now! I found a nice recipe for chicken curry and stuck a bookmark in the page. Took it into the kitchen, prepared all the ingredients in order but no mention of chicken. Made up the rest of the recipe thinking they had made a mistake but then discovered my bookmark at a different page. I had made chickpea curry but without the chickpeas.

I have gravity issues!
I forget things just won't float in mid-air when I let them go! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
Other things are taken out of my hands by poltergeists, usually landing about 4 or 5 feet away. I wish they'd stop these shenanigans!

I have this problem as well lol. Damn poltergeists, they also keep moving things so I can't find them ๐Ÿคฃ

I was making coffee and spooned the grounds into my cup of milk instead of the coffee pot.

My usual is to open a new packet of ground coffee and pour the entire bag into the cafetiere instead of the storage can.

TBH itโ€™s a miracle I didnโ€™t do this with hot Ribena recently - a particularly nasty bug had me drinking gallons of it.

Yesterday I bent down in Tesco at quite an angle to reach an item, I forgot I was carrying a full basket topped with a bottle of wine. You can imagine. It was mortifying.

Oreo Fri 02-Dec-22 20:06:19

Yup!
The last time I had half eaten beans on toast on a tray on my knees, as I woke up it slid sideways off me and landed all over the sofa.
