Hoping something comes along to lift your spirits today Marydoll. It’s so frustrating, repeatedly waiting for others such as your medical team etc. to get their finger out. 💐

Good Morning Monday 5th December 2022
(56 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but looks dry outside here in brackley this morning.
A very early breakfast for me as I am not allowed food for 6 hours prior to having the Endoscopy with camera look down me via my mouth at JR in Oxford.
Return home later and have something good after meal wise maybe a soup .
Take Care,
Mick
Sorry to hear you’re struggling Mary. Too many lumps in life’s custard for you at the moment. Hang in there.
Good morning Mick and everyone. Scattered clouds and some blue sky in this corner of Lancashire, currently 5°C.
Hope the endoscopy goes well Mick.
Today I have to pick up a prescription and if it’s not too busy I may do a little shopping. Mr.B has his ‘flu jab this evening.
Have a Happy Monday 🌹
Oh, Marydoll, so sorry. Lots of hugs, prayers and candles.
Good morning all from Glasgow where it is a chilly flat calm so far.
Good luck finding the sage ribbon Peli. I like the colour scheme you have chosen and I too enjoy putting a personal touch to bits of decor around the house at this time of year.
I filled a large tall vase with bunches of dark red berries, red amaryllis and eucalyptus stems, finished off tying a broad red/green silk ribbon in a bow around the top of the vase. Hmm, sage green ribbon and silver, I could do something with that! Off to hunt in my ribbon bag. 😃
Good luck for today Mick
A frustrating time waiting to recover Grey. Take care of yourself and allow your lovely DD to take the helm for a while.
Not much going on here today just a take the day as it comes type of plan.
Best wishes to all for a good day.
Oh Marydoll!
💐🎂🎄
Marydoll 💐
Thank you for your good wishes and the candles. I am feeling very low just now.
Just spoke to one of the partners, unfortunately things are a bit problematic, re my medication. Hey Ho!
Greyduster definitely slow down this week please x
Good morning all. It's every kind of weather (except warm!!) on the Angus coast. The sodden sudden shafts of sunlight are lovely.
Hope all goes well with your procedure today Mick, well done Ash, and welcome home Brook. Urms we have a yellow warning for snow here on Wednesday, but no sign of snow on the hills yet. It puts taking my friend out in doubt -silly to go driving in the snow if it's not necessary.
No plans for today except perhaps to make some, in the form of lists!
So sorry for the poorly and hope today is a better one for you and your loved ones, and have a good day everyone x
Good morning from a damp, cold and bleak looking Essex by the sea.
A visit to the Post Office and Chemist first thing and Christmas cards to post.
Housework when I return.
Good luck today Mick, hope all goes well for you.
Have a marvelous Monday everyone and keep warm xx
Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. I’ve no idea what it’s doing outside yet. I had a very poor day yesterday. DS cooked me a lovely breakfast and just as he put it on the table I was sick, so it was dry toast and water for the rest of the day. Both DS and DD think I’ve been pushing myself a bit too hard, so I’m throttling back this week. DD is back on nursing duty.
Good luck for today Mick. Hope everything goes well.
Travel safe Wyllow.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning to one and all .
I have started my cards , but sat too long at the table on a hard chair , so woke in the night with a pain in my good hip . I couldn’t toss and turn ! I managed to get to the bathroom cabinet for pain killing gel and got some sleep , then I woke with cramp in my bad leg , pain in my good one but had to propel myself out of bed to put my cramped foot on the cold floor
A stagger up and down the hall and back to bed
I better keep moving today , supposed to be shopping , I’ve loads to buy
Then the darned cards to finish ! I’ll use a cushion I think
Looking out it’s starting to brighten
Good luck today Michael
Marydoll the candles are burning , but at home , our candle thingy in the chapel hasn’t been put back , I think we are going for a card reader version ! There’s progress for you … or not 🤷♀️
Good Morning Mick and everyone from a very wet Hull.
Mick best wishes today for your endoscopy.
Safe journey home Wyllow and everyone travelling today.
Up late today as I don’t have yoga until 11 so have no need to rush. Had a shop in Home Bargains yesterday it’s amazing how we always manage to fill a trolley despite not needing anything when we go in. I was delighted to find Newberry fruits though as my mum used to love them and they are hard to get hold of.
I’m picking up GS from school this afternoon he always brings sunshine to our day.
Have a lovely day everyone. Virtual hugs to those with family illness and worries. 🌻🎄
Morning Mick and all
Grey and still outside my window, do not think we have any rain forecast for today.
I am off to the gym this morning, then we will go and choose our Christmas Tree. It will be brought in and decorated one day this week, probably tomorrow if the GSs have their way 🤣🎄
Have a good Monday folks, I will now read all your news 🤶🎄🎁🦩
Good morning. A very chilly one today, but for now it’s still dry.
Hope all goes well with the procedure today mick. Is anyone accompanying you?
Coffee morning today then back to do some chores.
Pleased you got to church Ash.
Take care everyone.
Good Morning Mick and everyone from bright-ish Carlisle.
A bad night's sleep...I woke with indigestion after an hour and spent the rest of the night listening to the radio and intermittently dozing. Probably will be fit for nothing today but will try and carry on doing the usual...gently.
I hope your procedure goes well Mick. Cowardly me had one without sedation last year, not a problem. Just relax and think of something nice.
And have a good day all.
Good morning Mick and all from a dull Windsor visiting myDD. Attending Evensong in Windsor Chapel last night, irritated by girl maybe 20s next to me on her phone throughout the service, not standing when we all did etc and generally behaving as if she was watching the tv at home. I tapped her on the wrist with my prayer sheet and felt like telling her to show some respect. We were on the back pew on the side and near where the Queen sat alone for the funeral of Prince Philip.
Then a nice meal and my cold is fading, just a cough left. Into London soon.
You will be glad when the procedure is over Mick, had that myself…
Thoughts to all with worries
Good morning from a cloudy W Kent, looks grim out there.
Off to the recycling centre and taking bits to charity shops plus posting Christmas cards. I thinks that is enough for today.
Good luck Mick, well done Ash always good to get the first time out alone done. I hope you do get an appointment Marydoll
Best wishes to all.
Good luck for today Mick and for anyone else with medical appointments x
Good morning from the NE where it is not as cold as the last few days.
Busy weekend, sister and BIL came on Saturday but they got stuck in traffic and their 20 minute journey took an hour and fifteen minutes.
DS and GDs came and stayed until nearly midnight as we watched a DVD of a family holiday in Scotland. They brought me some Christmas candles which smell lovely.
Yesterday SIL arrived early afternoon and went in the attic and brought down the tree and decorations. I bought new baubles in several colours but decided to decorate it in red and champagne.
DH always used to put the lights on the tree and I was dreading it but they turned out fine. Had to get a steppy stool to put the angel on the top and SIL photographed me, not good as I had only a T shirt and joggers on.
Must write some cards today, family ones are done.
Have a good day.
Good morning from a dark and wet East Midlands. Good luck Mick with the endoscopy.
Good morning from bright and dry Sefton.
We’re taking Mr Busy to see the reindeer at a garden centre today.
Best wishes for your procedure Mick. Enjoy Monday everyone.
🌲 🌲 🌲
Good morning everyone from a grey and chilly looking Northampton. I have just put some washing in the machine, but will be drying it indoors today. Also got another couple of loads waiting to be done, so I thought I'd better start on clearing the backlog.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with the family yesterday to celebrate DD-out-law's 50th birthday. Couldn't manage everything, so came home with some cakes in a box!
Giving yoga a miss this morning, as still suffering with my cough and cold; in fact have decided to have tomorrow and Wednesday indoors as well. I shall be able to get the sausage rolls made for Christmas, and get the tree and decorations up.
All the best for your procedure today Mick. My DSis had one last week.
The best Monday to everyone
Book group this afternoon and then flower club AGM with fish and chip supper, so no cooking at all today. Must be becoming chronically lazy to be pleased about it!
Sorry that Marydoll is feeling so rough, impressed by Ash’s progress and hoping for a good enough day for all those unwell or worried.
