Yes. Friendly people find other friendly people everywhere. It's up to individuals not geography.

That’s it 😄

I used to work with a chap who was Ugandan. In the coffee room one day I asked him how he came to be in Cardiff. His reply was that his passage to the UK was arranged by a Ugandan charity that had UK bases in London, Glasgow and Cardiff. He knew nothing about the regions of the UK at the time, so he contacted someone he knew who was already here. Their reply was “Don't worry about the weather - wherever you go in the UK you’ll be cold. Don’t go to London. London people are not like us - nobody has time to stand and chat. Glasgow is OK. People are friendly enough but you won’t understand a word they say. Go to Cardiff - people are friendly and can be understood”.

So he came to Cardiff. And twenty-odd years later he’s still here. .

Today's UK Loose Women programme decided that people are more friendly in the North than South. I live in the South of the South, lucky enough to have a view of The Isle of Wight. I'm always surprised that some media only consider that London is South. I find people very friendly where I live, as does my friend who lives in Leeds. Surely, there are friendly people everywhere.
