There has been a recent craze for celebrities to post pictures of their “nightstands”.
Elon Musks was very interesting.
Mine was getting a polish earlier so decided to take a snap, I think it says I’m boring with dry skin!

What’s on yours?

Just my birdcage lamp and alarm clock

Franbern Thu 08-Dec-22 17:48:18

Double bed, just me, so two bedside tables,
No lamp on either as I use Alexa on the overhead light.
So, on the one on my left, which I seem to be able to access easiest is the control for my bed, water bottle and dish with tablets I take in early hours of morning, container for the remotes for bedroom tv and humax, decorative box in which I keep any creams I may need during the night, and tissues, earphones.

I keep my small alexa clock high up on the top of a slim chest of drawers which are directly next to that bedside table. This responds to my spoken commands and is easy for me to see.

Other side I have a large white covered box in which all my medication is kept. . Landline telephone, charger wires for mobile telephone and smartwatch. Pens and Sudoku puzzles, which I like to do when I first go to bed. Kindle

May ask where you bought that lamp from Chestnut it looks ideal for me.

I have two lamps, one is quite tiny in case I am reading and DH wants to sleep, the other is more of a standard bedside type. A small clock, water bottle, 3 books and 3 bookmarks. Also a fair bit of dust... must get to that.

Merylstreep, I love your wallpaper

Auntieflo Thu 08-Dec-22 16:39:56

On my bedside table is a lamp, clock and book. Overnight it gets more crowded with glass of water, pills and my specs in their case.
Mollygo, I bought DH one of those pockets, so his bedside table is a lot clearer than mine.

I have a clock radio, a small mat to stand in front of the time on the clock so I can choose to see it or not (don't ask!!)
and a lamp and probably a lot of dust! On my chest of drawers I have a photo of a previous dog, a bottle of water, a tv (I never watch it) and a mini chest of drawers for bits and bobs. Nothing very exciting I think hmm

During the night mine has a lamp, Google Nest, a coaster for my mug of camomile tea, a stand for my phone which I use as an alarm clock, a box for my earplugs, and currently the central heating thermostat so I can switch it on before I get up!

BlueBalou Thu 08-Dec-22 06:29:32

Mine has a book, Kindle, phone, clock radio and a lamp that was my mother’s which is at least 70 years old.

Lamp, Kindle, face cream and an old tin box for tablets. Bit boring really.

Flat surfaces are bad for me

Glasses of water can be dodgy too on a dark, dark night

Maggiemaybe Wed 07-Dec-22 23:36:00

Nothing exciting. A very tatty lamp (I really must get a new one, so I’m soaking up the inspiration on here), paperback, Kindle in case I wake up in the early hours, phone currently charging, earrings just taken out and ready for tomorrow, and a coaster for my morning cuppa.

Callistemon21 Wed 07-Dec-22 23:35:17

No tech of any kind in my bedroom. And certainly no smart phone.

Is a Kindle tech?

Mollygo Wed 07-Dec-22 23:34:32

I just have a bedside pocket, tucks diwn the side of my mattress. It holds kindle, tissues phone and glasses. Flat surfaces are bad for me.

Deedaa Wed 07-Dec-22 23:33:04

Mine has a pile of books, a light and an alarm clock, and a saucer of dry food in case the cat gets hungry.

biglouis Wed 07-Dec-22 23:29:00

I have an antique Moroccan table by my bed (what else should an antique dealer have?) with a table lamp, caraffe of water and glass, alarm clock and a notepad and pen. No tech of any kind in my bedroom. And certainly no smart phone.

Two sorts of Nivea cream, lamp, small clock, phone, mug, little folding mirror which the nug is standing on, tissues, small silver pillbox with medication, box of paracetamol.

Charleygirl5 Wed 07-Dec-22 22:47:19

Lamp, small clock, Alexa, box of tissues, hand cream, at least a dozen paperbacks, eye drops. No space for paperback, it is under a pillow.

Urmstongran Wed 07-Dec-22 21:43:01

Just taken this now.
I’ve come to bed to read & got a cuppa.
Hand cream, water for during the night, phone, pen, paper, small dish with pill and my new touch lamp.

kittylester Wed 07-Dec-22 21:29:17

My bedside table is actually the chest of drawers to match the bedside table that is on DH'S side of the bed. It is just the right height and holds a lamp, 2 drinks mats, a drink, tissues, 9 books (just dropped off by a friend) notepad and pen, Alexa, currently, but not normally, my phone, my jewellery box and TV remote.

Yammy Wed 07-Dec-22 20:46:09

A, lamp, placemat, clock, mug for water, tablets in a container, bottle of Gaviscon and a basket containing kindle, day and reading glasses a packet of tissues, a small torch, and hand and night cream.
DH has a collection of books and a dictionary, reading glasses and I suspect a cattle prod for when I snore.

Chocolatelovinggran Wed 07-Dec-22 20:27:05

I have a towering pile of books. My children fear that my demise will be caused by them falling on me...

Redrobin51 Wed 07-Dec-22 19:43:58

At the moment there is a table lamp and because I have some kind of virus and am bedridden two drinks, medication, olbas oil Vic, and throat lozengers. Looks more like a advert for a chemist's, lol.

Mizuna Wed 07-Dec-22 19:28:53

I was brave and didn't tidy up! The scruffy book is The Fifth Horseman by Collins and Lapierre, the only copy I could find online. I knit in bed, hence the needles, the rest just smacks of ailments and puzzles. grin
