GG13 is right, animal shelters will be glad of the bedding. I've just seen a request on FB asking for these items.

The bottle bank area usually has a container for these.

If taking them to a charity shop put them in a bag clearly marked ‘Rags’ it will save the volunteers a lot of time.

Animal charities normally take sheets towels blankets but not duvets or pillows. My local dog rescue shelter are urgently requesting blankets towels and sheets. No heating at all in the kennels so it is quite a miserable existence.

I don’t know whether they’ve changed, but a few years ago we took several old duvets to the Dogs’ Trust - having asked first whether they’d like them.,

I found local homeless charity which would take just single cleaned duvets - not doubles..

Painters and decorators love them to cover floors while working.
