A pheasant and blue tits in the back garden Blue tits and a territorial Robin in the front. We have taken the feeder down as we were getting presents from next doors cats after they had finished their meal. The blue tits come on the window sill and peck at small mites they don't mind us watching.
At the moment there are two collared doves sitting on the phone wire in the sunshine. Two or three hen pheasants, and the neighbour's black and white cat passing through has frightened away the small birds. A while ago there were about eight blackbirds.
I’ve just spotted two Redwings, who’ve joined the Blackbirds under the crab apple tree. They are having a feast on the fallen fruits. The Blackbirds are trying to scare the intruders off! Love watching them. 😊
Last time I looked out we had blackbirds, blue and great tits, sparrows, a Robin and the inevitable wood pigeons. We have a wren that visits regularly but is seldom seen although often heard.
SNOW..lots of it..a blackbird thrush, numerous sparrows and various members of the tit family, and beyond my fence on farmland are Rooks and Crows...oh and a Robin just appeared in the garden..
Usually a blackbird family. We also have a robin that pops by. The other day I was on the phone waiting in a queue looking out of the window when I spotted one just as I got through.
At the moment, in the back garden, there are about six great tits flying to and fro from the trees to the bird feeder, whilst a rather plump wood pigeon and a blackbird are eating sunflower seeds dropped under the bird table. In the front garden, I have a crab apple tree, loaded with fruits, as I didn’t get around to picking them to make jelly, but the blackbirds and robin are enjoying them. 😊
As it’s such a cold day, I intend to stay inside, but was out early to feed the birds. At the moment, there’s half a dozen blue tits on the fat ball hanger, while three fat wood pigeons, a pair of black birds, a magpie, and a robin are attacking the seed mix on the ground. What’s in yours?
