That's very sad Annsixty. A peaceful end though.

My friend of 55 years has just rung to say she woke up yesterday to find her H had died in his sleep beside her.
He had stage4 cancer and was having chemo but was not expected to just go like that.
Her D was there having just come for a few days.
He and I were really good friends as he liked the company of women in the very nicest way.
He would make me “ very special “ coffee and we had a good laugh together.
Sad day all round.

Thinking of baggs, sued and all containing worries about family. This time of year can hold a magnifying glass to our worries I think.

We’re very proud of ourselves today. Managed to do all the (boring!) jobs needing to be accomplished. The car is now a recognisable colour, dust is removed, bathroom sparkles, kitchen is sanitary, floors vacuumed, ironing done and towels washed. We even managed to go out for an hour. I should be tired, strangely I’m not. Will I be tired tomorrow? For certain. . Odd that but usually the way.

Sleep well everyone, or rest if sleep should be elusive. TOYA.

Yes my D and GD go home tomorrow, a huge sigh of relief , partly that they have gone, partly because it went off ok.
I find it hard to explain, so I won’t even try but my D has had a whole life without me.
Uni, marriage, living abroad, separated from her H for many years, divorce eventually due next month
Two adult children with mental health problems, both very bright, but no personal skills.
We are very different people from 50+ years ago.
I am sure we feel for each other but….
Some of you may understand.

Off to bed soon, severe lack of sleep last night and I’m ‘jet laggy’. Might have a no wet hair quick shower as we’re under threat of low pressure/no water for two days.
My daughter is usual unwell at every school holiday Urms touch wood, ok this time.
Really good fun at local pub’s Christmas draw last night, we did well.

‘Evening All’

We’ve had a busy day. Helping with the grandchildren as their mum has been laid low for a second day with a nasty viral infection. Not Covid but she aches all over, heavy eyes and a high temperature. Teachers eh? Holidays seem to pounce on them.

We went upstairs on the bus, the kids loved it. Lunch in their favourite cafe (and we didn’t do too shabbily either). Back on the bus, lurching to our seats ha! Then took the Boy Wonder to his Turkish (fancy Dan) barbershop. Trendy cut and he looks very smart - but whenever did a lad’s haircut cost £17!

Skint enough, we returned home with just enough pennies out of ‘our bit of pension’ to enjoy sharing a bottle of wine in the bar below before coming up here for mackerel pate on toast which, by 7pm was Food of the Gods.

My thoughts and sympathies will be with you tomorrow Hellogirl. It will be a sad day indeed for you. One to be got through.
