My DH drives people for cancer treatments - usually twice a week. He loves doing it as he meets some really lovely people.......and gives him a break from me!

I use a community transport scheme, too, and it has been the biggest help ever. smile

Thank you travelesafar I’m a coordinator for one such group and used to drive, sadly there may be funding issues in the future.

I just want to give shout out to all the volunteers who keep this service running. You are fantastic!!! I have used them on several occasions when attending eye clinic as once drops put in your eyes you are not allowed to drive afterwards. I had appointment yesterday and even though the weather is as it is, he turned up on time and got me to the hospital safely and then back home. Yes you have to pay but is it worth it...yes it is.
