I’m with King Charles on this , he shows he still loves his son
Of course it will be a Netflix opportunity, but maybe sense will prevail and grievances will be put aside
Charles will be damned either way , so inviting Harry is the lesser of two evils

Charles is Harry’s father-perhaps he’d really like his son there-who knows?

The last part of your post is so true as is already evident.

Also, if they come, it will fulfil their aim of being sweetness and light. If they refuse to come it will make them look bad.

Shall we wait and see whether Netflix presents it as Charles apologising for whatever, or Harry apologising for the varying recollections presented on Netflix?

Er, might it have something to do with the fact that Harry is his son...........?

And still a Duke of the Realm.
Presumably all Dukes and Duchesses will get an invitation.

Exactly. Maybe Charles is more like the Queen than I thought.

I think it is absolutely the right thing to invite his son and wife to the coronation. Whether they come is a different matter.
But do we know for sure that the King is inviting them? Is it just speculation?

Given that its a state occasion and not a family one, I think it would be very odd if a Counsellor of State wasn't invited, wouldn't it? Could bring about a constitutional crisis.

Now, there's a thing.

I think Charles is actually being very wise. If things fall apart between Harry and Megan or they change their minds and one or both want to return he is keeping the door open. Also I’m sure he’d like a relationship with his grandchildren. He is not the one slamming the doorin their faces. If they are wise, however, they will not come as unless their popularity ratings improve in the UK Harry and Megan will have a poor reception from the populus.

He probably doesn't want him bashing on the doors like Queen Caroline, George 1V's wife!!
We don't know yet that this is true anyway. Whatever Charles does will be wrong, however, with an official invite the family will have some control as with the Jubilee.

Oh they'd come alright.

I think Charles has a dilemma.
He won't want to give them anything else to complain about so as family he'd invite them.
Maybe Harry's book will change his mind?

Because he loves them?

If they come - all attention will be on Harry and Meghan (apparently)

If they don't come - all attention will be on Harry and Meghan.

What's a Duke to do?

Which reminds me. Do you think he'll invite his brother? The one that (allegedly) consorts with rapists and people traffickers?

I was very surprised to read that this morning. If it's true, then more fool him for allowing them to treat him badly without consequences. If he wants the attention to be on the Coronation, then it will be best if H&M stay away.

Of course, one would think they wouldn't have the nerve to turn up, but it would be too good a Netflix opportunity for them to miss.

I’m reading today that Charles will be insisting that Harry & Meghan will be invited to his Coronation next year… but why? So they may still whinge & moan and take sneaky pictures for maybe another forthcoming battering of the royal family, moan that all the family will be so cold towards them, that no one is friendly towards them. Charles do your best and don’t invite them, they probably wouldn’t attend anyway..
