I used to find him mildly amusing and sometimes offensive, but his latest rant in the pages of The Sun is just sick beyond belief.

My point about the late Queen stands.

She was much more careful.

Not read his article so not qualified to comment on it but re farming U think you will find his Clarksons farm programme went down a storm with our country's farmers.Including James Rebanks a Cumbria farmer whose books and articles tell it as it is for modern farmers who also care about nature and the environment. Its way more popular than Countryfile with them.I wasn't going to watch because of his provocative style but actually loved it .And learnt a lot.

Forsythia Sun 18-Dec-22 09:35:46

He was hardly her companion. They were both guests at the same party.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Dec-22 09:35:39

Forsythia

I don’t think it’s excitement, surely?

Oh dear - I’m sure you get the drift.

My I-pad always thinks it knows best.

I find it difficult to believe, in one way, that people can say he's only doing it to annoy people, aren't we allowed to say anything now? In another way, I'm not surprised at all.

Of course he's only saying it to wind people up. Having a sad little schoolboy mind is what makes him popular with other people with sad little schoolboy (girl?) minds who think they are having their rights to free speech taken away.

Here's the thing, for those who purport not to see the problem.

He said that he hates the King's daughter-in-law more than he hates our most reviled living serial killer. He said he wants to see her paraded naked through the streets and pelted with excrement. The thought keeps him awake at night.

Whether that's true or not, he wrote it. Because he thinks it will get him the support of all the other weirdos and make him lots of money. He's not normal, not by any measure.

The Queen consort needs to be more careful in her choice of companions at private parties.

Queen Elizabeth would never have attended such parties.

Forsythia Sun 18-Dec-22 09:33:20

I don’t think it’s excitement, surely?

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Dec-22 09:31:53

Running a naked woman of colour and throwing s…t at her is exactly what was carried out by the KKK in the southern states of America during the time of lynching etc.

It is excitement to violence and racist.

Iam64 Sun 18-Dec-22 09:17:55

So those who say it doesn’t matter, no one listens, it’s his job to say disgusting things etc etc - would yiu want your children and grandchildren to share that view?
I certainly wouldn’t. I’d be ashamed if anyone I m close to expressed disgusting inflammatory views like this

Forsythia Sun 18-Dec-22 09:16:54

He’s telling his truth as he sees it. And aren’t we all entitled to do that now?

Aveline Sun 18-Dec-22 09:13:51

Jeremy Clarkson writes with his tongue firmly in his cheek hoping to invite just such outraged responses as are simply demonstrated in this thread. He adopts his 'Jeremy Clarkson' persona. It's his job.

Joseanne Sun 18-Dec-22 09:03:33

I'm not a supporter, I am not apologising for him, but if you don't take him too seriously some of his stuff is funny.
An elderly colleague of mine taught him at school and said he was an obnoxious toad, very disruptive and rude. He was however weirdly funny and entertaining, and certainly memorable all these years later.

Kandinsky Sun 18-Dec-22 09:02:55

Plenty of vile hatred written about Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, etc.
but that seems to be okay.

You either allow all opinions - or you ban everything.

argymargy Sun 18-Dec-22 08:58:11

And we wonder why people are increasingly comfortable with spewing out hatred and vile accusations about people they have likely never met! National newspaper editors actively commissioning and printing this kind of rubbish should have a long hard look at themselves.

MaizieD Sun 18-Dec-22 08:56:27

How can anyone apologise for a man with a mind like a running sewer?

MaizieD Sun 18-Dec-22 08:53:22

Appalled by Clarkson, by the Sun and by all his supporters and apologists on this thread.

He’s a ghastly man, they should give him the flick.

I’m not 100% certain what this means, but it’s really made me laugh😂

Katie59 Sun 18-Dec-22 08:45:55

His views reflect a the view of a lot of people who are too polite to express them so graphically, I am surprised the Sun printed it unedited - or maybe it was edited!.
Not to many the Clarkson seriously.

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 18-Dec-22 08:43:51

He's an obnoxious pillock: enough said.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Dec-22 07:45:51

You would be better off watching Countryfile.

It is always about Clarkson, his writing is boorish.

BigBertha1 Sun 18-Dec-22 07:40:14

JC

BigBertha1 Sun 18-Dec-22 07:39:39

I don't like IF as a person but I believe him to be a good writer. However he writes to deliberately shock the reader and sometimes goes too far. I thought his farming programme mocked himself but also underlined the problems facing our farmers.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Dec-22 07:36:59

The KKK could not have put it better.

Perhaps he is a member?

nanna8 Sun 18-Dec-22 05:57:30

He’s a ghastly man, they should give him the flick.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 18-Dec-22 01:02:39

Is this the sort of rhetoric against women that Markle highlights?

She is right then.

There is something pathological, repulsive and crass about late middle aged men obsessing over a woman as highlighted by Clarkson and Morgan.
