He should not have said that, I agree. But in spite of that I find him entertaining and funny, mostly. I like his political un-correctness. And his farm programme is lovely, really interesting and informative and amusing. I loved it.

He's supposed to be obnoxious and offensive. That's what he does and he's obviously appealing to many.

His parents made their fortune from franchising stuffed Paddington Bears. They made enough from that to send young Jeremy to Repton College, where he was bullied for his uncultivated ways. He's certainly not from old money.

Of course he then goes on to bully his BBC producer, breaking his nose in a tantrum because he and his mates had stayed in the pub until chucking-out time and returned to their hotel long after the kitchen staff had gone home, and there was only a cold buffet instead of a proper manly steak.

He's definitely not a man of any kind of class.
