Today I have a B12 injection at my surgery and plan to walk there, also back as well .
Will do a small local shop first to see how I am.
Take Care,

Good morning all and yes it’s feeling milder, thank goodness., but rather damp and dreary.
It’s the first rain we’ve had since the chimney cap was put on and the conservatory sealed by Dh. All seems well 🤞.
DS1 and DIL came for a cuppa yesterday afternoon. The teenage girls stayed home as they’d had a busy few days. Don’t see much of them now, but it’s good to know they’re doing well and are happy.
Dh told me he had bought me a present from M and Co but as they are going into administration, I needed to try it on as there’s only 14 days if I want to change it. I opened the parcel and he’d bought me trousers that were truly awful! Didn’t even try them on. Took them back and got a lovely cosy jumper. I do wish he wouldn’t buy me clothes 😂. Bless him for trying! ❤️.
Urms I love that Christmas card!
Look after that lovely heart Marydoll and don’t worry about DD- I had a humdinger with my Dd last week but we’re back the best of friends (for now) 😂. They like to off-load on us don’t they! 🙄.
Chrissielou thanks again for your pm. So kind!
Take care all who are travelling and get well soon those who are poorly, and keep those chins up everyone who is fretting.
🎄
Good morning Mick and everyone from dark damp Carlisle where it is 13C. The temperature has risen a staggering 21 degrees in 3 or 4 days. I actually preferred the cold since the sun was out.
I'm about to pop out to Sainsbury's since neither I nor the weather was up to it on Saturday. Need to make some final purchases before the holiday.
Most of you here seem to be busily preparing yourselves.
Fingers crossed, my digestion is much improved so thanks for good wishes....I hope everyone feels good over the holidays.
I'll read your posts in detail later.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and cloudy. Thank you Susan and Mary. This morning I feel a little bit better again. I'm drinking my hot lemon and honey concoction which seems to ease some symptoms. Ash your boots look lovely. Brook safe journey tomorrow.
Today I intend to stay up all day and write the cards for the neighbours. This virus has been good for teaching me patience and helping me to lose weight! Have a good day all.
Good Morning Mick and everyone from Thirsk. I’m thinking it’s wet out.
Georgesgran when we were up in Stanley yesterday it was another level of cold 🥶
It was lovely seeing our friends and exchanging gifts.
In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off so all the hotel guests were in the car park for 40 mins luckily we all had cars to sit in. The firemen came and checked it out. We were let back in at 3-15 am. There will be a lot of tired grumpy guests I would imagine today not sure how this will go with the Premier Inn goodnight sleep guarantee.
Heading over to York at lunch to see my parents so that will be nice we haven’t seen them in a while. We’ll have a look round Thirsk town first.
Love hearing about all your Christmas preparations. You all make me feel very festive.
Have a lovely day. Safe travels and special thoughts to those feeling ill or stressed🌻🎄
Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester. Ten degrees warmer than yesterday already. I'll be swapping my padded coat for my warm waterproof.
No plans yet for today. We need more food as DS is well enough to empty the fridge once again.
Love to all 🦩x
Oh Grammaretto, I hope you get your tooth fixed.
Something similar happened to me during lockdown, mine sheered off horizontally at the root, weakened by years of steroids.
I was shielding, the dentist was only open a few hours a day, dentist needed my RA consultant's approval, before treating it, and it was snowing
One very expensive crown later......
Its amazing what dentists can do, nowadays. Good luck!
No Matt = Monday.
So here’s my virtual Christmas ‘card’ to you all fro me.
Happy Christmas everyone & good health and happiness for 2023!
Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s raining. Alexa tells me that currently it’s 11°C with a high of 13°C forecast later. Seems the Ice Age is over (for now).
We’re taking the children to their last swimming lesson till the NY at teatime. No other plans today!
Oops! Wearing mine as slippers! But I probably have been sloppy in them.
Your DGD has done well with her dancing.
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where its 10°C. I knew the temperature had risen, before I checked. My chest isn't so tight. Thank goodness!
My great plan of present wrapping yesterday did not come to fruition, due to a heart episode. I felt awful, so I spent most of the day resting.
It was triggered by a disagreement with DD on the phone.
She was in diva mode, stressed by her job, SIL's job and Christmas dinner plans.
I hung up on her, (something I never do), because I could feel my heart racing and tightening and she was in full flow.
She would have argued black was white!
My GP has written to the cardiologist twice, still nothing is happening. I'm terrified of having yet another heart attack, so I need to avoid A&E at all costs. Self preservation!
I'm off out to church this morning to drop off lots of greenery, cut by Mr MD yesterday. A selection of conifer, ivy and beautiful variegated Holly. The advent wreath is looking a bit tired and the person responsible for it, messaged me in a panic!
I will get good to catch up with friends, I haven't been there for nearly a fortnight.
Also, I need to write a letter to my Italian friend, who is the manager of our favourite hotel in Rome. His Christmas card is still unwritten, due to me being the great procrastinator and my rusty Italian needing assistance from Mr Google.
A busy week for all you grans. Ash, you will be glad to have your DH safely back.
Grey, no idea what the weather is like down your way, but I hope you are managing to get out.
You are in my thoughts, Grandmabatty, I hope you are improving. We need a Glesca Grannies meet up in the New Year!
It will be lovely to see your family again, GMattie.🥰
Best wishes to all those in the sick bay and safe journey to all who are travelling.
I'm off now to read all your posts.posts
Good Morning all from still dark Harrogate- no idea what the weather is doing but the whiteness has gone.
Those boots look so cosy Ash I could do with some like that. I’ve been guilty of wearing mine as sloppers
Good morning from wet and windy Wiltshire, thank goodness the snow and ice have gone!
Yesterday was quiet, I finished DGS1’s socks and started a pair for DGS2, lovely soft merino mix wool with sparkling bits as requested 😄
Today after DDog’s walk I will pop along the road to see my friend for a coffee. DH is off to town on the bus, rather him than me. I haven’t been to Bath for 3 years now, I used to go several times a month. I can’t stand the heaving crowds at this time of year (or any other time either!)
I hope today goes well for you all x
Good morning from Durham. It’s been wet and windy overnight and although it’s still dark, it’s foggy.
I’m feeling very lethargic at the moment, not helped by the appearance of my tooth abscess yesterday – it’s an ongoing infection - I have spare antibiotics so I hope I’ve got it under control. The burglar alarm man is coming this afternoon, as I’m unable to set the programme. He thinks he might be able to repair it, but if not, my neighbours will keep an eye on the house while I’m away.
Didn’t sleep well last night which seems to be coming the norm for me. The house is warm, so I’ll snuggled under my fleece blanket and if I nod off, so be it.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning, s somerset is wet and very windy and thankfully, no longer icy so come what may, I shall get out for a quick walk around town, minus purse
I am often an impulsive shopper, the endorphins. I need nothing so will buy nothing and am weaning myself from amazon and those buys that I think I need but do not need
Sock knitting like the clappers, I have 3 socks more to make by the weekend. Sitting in my bed knitting last night, radio on and then slept until 7, having switched my brain off. Love a good sleep
Good morning. As Maw says damp and windy here in M. Bucks.
Parcel wrapping, some baking and a hairdressers appointment today.
Won’t be surprised if DD turns up with the two boys at some time.
Hope today is good to you all.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a windy south Hants. Gosh it must have rained all day yesterday. So much so that even the dog didn’t want to be out in it - halfway up the road and he was pulling to come home!
Love those boots Ash - they look well cosy and warm. grandMattie I think I’d be taking the same stance as you with DL if I’m honest. I do hope that you are enjoying having your home and time back - and that you have a lovely trip tomorrow. You deserve to be thoroughly treated.
Yesterday was spent wrapping presents … I still have that dreadful headache but at least it’s not Covid. SiL has tested positive for that unfortunately and saw both in-laws - so they’re obviously worried about getting it.
Not sure what’s happening today - bed change and checking of freezers. Plus a food list for the Boxing Day spread to check I’ve not forgotten anything.
Have the best day everyone. Thinking of those with medical appointments, those that are unwell, plus those low in spirit🦩🦩🦩
Hugs and 💐💐 for you all x
Good morning from a dreary & dismal Sefton. It's wet underfoot but not actually raining. It does seem a lot milder.
Singing Monday again. It's our last one of the year so it will be carols & mincepies. A quick visit to the Range & possibly Dunelm this afternoon.
Take care all.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where at long last the thaw has started and the snow and ice is now gradually melting.
So good to hear olddudders will be back with you soon Ash and in time for Christmas too
I’ve an appointment at the eye clinic this morning but no plans after that except checking I’ve got everything packed for my trip to DD1s in Cambridge tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone and having a few early Christmas celebrations!
Thanks for the Christmas wishes Beechnut 🎄🎅
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Morning Mick and all
Still dark here, but the frost that has been here for the past 10 days has disappeared, it started to rain yesterday lunchtime and was still raining when I went to bed.
Busy day today, bed changing, washing, ironing and I am going to blitz the kitchen.
Have a good Monday folks 🎄🤶🎁🎄🙋♀️
A very windy start in Oxfordshire but much milder and it's wet. I would much prefer dry and cold. I caught up with festive jobs yesterday, iced and decorated 2 Xmas cakes, made 2 dozen mince pies and wrapped all the presents. We can't walk dog yet as he's still recovering from his emergency surgery, but he's recovering well.
Last day working today, so looking forward to a couple of weeks off. DS1 recovering from covid and DD2 from flu, lots of illness around.
I hope you all have a good day and find some sunshine and laughter.
Good morning from dark Leicestershire.
Just sitting up in bed letting my daily ibandronic acid tablet settle then it’s Pilates in one of the next villages.
Then I really must wrap presents!
Wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
There has been a thaw overnight so it's really dark but hopefully safer than before.
I have the Dentist first thing. Another front tooth has split in half.
I will read your messages later. I'd better not miss the bus 🚌
Morning Mick, morning All. A repeat of yesterdays wind and rain for our corner of Somerset. It’s soggy out there.
We both enjoyed cleaning the conservatory yesterday. How odd is that? Admin complete I was delighted to have a brief phone chat with our friend in Norfolk, now settled in a care home. Calls don’t always work so well.
Also a relief to hear sufficient home carers had been available over the weekend to take a little pressure from our friend as she cares for her husband. She is understandably physically and emotionally exhausted. A bed for downstairs has been promised today, a relief as it’s week since either of them have been able to sleep in a bed. The question remains how the move from the chair to the bed can be accomplished, it should have been thought about. Wonder if it has.
Looking forward to taking our granddaughters out for lunch today. A bit of a pre Christmas ritual. Other than that no plans.
Look after yourselves everyone. Hope Monday is kind to us all.
