Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is 10 degrees wow!

Yesterday we went out to look for a Christmas tree. One place was closed so we went to a nearby garden centre. All that was left were a couple of sparse and wonky ones. Had a good look around though as there was 25% off everything. I bought a nice lantern with a fake candle and greenery. It looks great on my mantel piece. DH watched the football and I went to listen to a programme I like on the radio in the bedroom. Got under the warm throw on top of the bed the top to keep warm and fell asleep!

Got my hair appointment mid morning. DH has a meeting over the other side of the city around the same time. I’d like to have gone with him as it’s close to a Dunelm that I rarely get chance to go to but I can’t get my appointment changed.

I need to sort my cupboards and fridge out as I’m getting a shopping delivery later this afternoon.

Love those boots Ash they look comfy and cosy.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all from my bed in West Oxfordshire. It sounds pretty windy outside. I have to finish decorating the tree today. The kitchen tasks are marzipaning the Christmas cake and icing the chocolate shed/log, which will then go back in the freezer. Oh, and a Waitrose shop which will include a Click and Collect of various things. Have a good day.

Good morning from Shropshire.

Yes Ash we were so proud of DGD.She danced so well and really enjoyed herself. The show was really good and some of the older dancers were amazing.

Today back over to North Wales for the farewell service for the vicar at the village church.DGD has a small reading. We will then have a relaxing day at DD’s before collecting the children from school and nursery later.

Your boots look very cosy Ash.I bought some Ugg boots a couple of years ago as they had arctic grip soles and a cosy fur lining.I haven’t worn them very often but wore them to DD’s on Saturday. She said gosh mum those short Ugg boots you have on are so popular. They are selling for £200+ second hand.Maybe I will have to sell them when the next fuel bill comes in.

Safe travels to olddudders and anyone else travelling.

I hope Grandmabatty and all unwell are feeling better.

Stay warm and have the best day you can everyone.🎄🎅🏼

Good morning from a windy but mild Torbay.

My DD2 has B12 injections and finds they give her a new lease of energy, Mick, so good luck with yours.

What a good memory you have, Grandmabatty! It was indeed the friend with the cold house with whom I had lunch on Saturday. Recently, I found these (hardly worn) fur lined boots so have been wearing them as slippers and took them with me. Very elegant! In answer to those grans who asked: Yes, thank you, I really enjoyed it. I feel normality is gradually returning.

I bet you were one proud grandmother, watching your DGD dance, Susan56. It’s great when they enjoy these experiences without any sign of nervousness and so good to perform in a proper theatre.

Greyduster: I tasted my first Chinese meal in 1968, having just started my teacher training in Birmingham and it is still my favourite choice for dining out or takeaway.

Yes thanks, grandMattie, olddudders arrived safely at Portsmouth last night and will drive home later today. He’s currently 💤 - ing at Travelodge.

Hope everyone is well and warm. 🦩🎅🏼⛄️🎄🦩

Good morning from a dark, windy and wet E Kent. Doesn’t the change in the weather feel odd?
Thank you for your concern over my knee. The rest has made it better - just a bruise left now. I heal fast.
Regarding DL, I haven’t heard a squeak since that grumpy phone call on Wednesday. It’s not up to me to communicate. I’ll message after Christmas.
I’m spending today tidying up and packing ready for my trip tomorrow. And probably watching mindless Christmas movies…
Ash, I’m pleased you are managing things albeit slowly. Is oldduders joining you for Christmas? Marydoll, keep taking things slowly and enjoying each day as it comes, especially if Dollie is involved.
I hope that everyone has a gentle day, especially those in pain, sorrow or distress. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from under the duvet to Mick and everybody.
As Mick says, blowing a bit of a hooley out there so the temperature may have risen but it’s still jolly cold! Awake since 4 I can now go back to sleep secure in the knowledge that Monday may safely start.
(Rosie is in kennels overnight - I’m missing my hottie sad )
Yesterdays family party /lunch went brilliantly.
I had relented and said anybody who wanted to watch the football final could do so in my bedroom - that took care of the older grandchildren- and then towards the penalty shoot out we all ended up watching it upstairs and down!
Main thing everybody was happy
Wishing you all a pleasant, and slightly warmer day.
