Lucky escape! What happened to the driver and others?

The driver (a girl friend) had a small cut on her forehead, and her 6 year old son, next to her, no seatbelt, flew under the dash and was not hurt at all.

That time in traction was the worst- no tv, no internet... and on your back 24/7, and 100% dependent for absolutely everything, including toilet, periods, etc, etc.

My knee is very sore today- probably psychological!

What a survivor! You got married in hospital?

Yes, came out, on crutches, after 5 months- to be married 2 weeks later. I fell on that leg 2 days before the wedding- and re-broke the part just above the knee. Major operation the next day to attempt to save the leg, and got married the day after. Theatre white gown, drip up- just my best friend, OH and his brother, and my parents for a few minutes after. I spent another 2.5 months in hospital after.

Blimey, that is an astounding story. I guess he did his share of the 'in sickness' part of the wedding vows at the beginning.

Poor man, we had been separated for many months, in different countries- and he never had a 'wedding night' - not for months after ;)
