A very belated Happy Christmas to all Gransnetters and so glad that Susan56’s GS is getting better. A quiet day for me and ‘him indoors’-our son and family are at his in-laws today and overnight- might see them tomorrow, but nothing set in stone. Expecting everyone here on the 27th. Love to all this Christmastime and yes, this is a lovely thread. xx

Happy Christmas Mick and all 🎅🏽🧑🏼‍🎄🤶
Lovely bright day and not too cold here in East Lothian, after last night’s rain.

Christmas madness here trying to fit all the veg into one small oven - turkey is now out, thankfully. Trying to be helpful to DD and DSiL while not getting under their feet 😀

DGS (age 14) not quite sure what to feel about Christmas now that he’s too old for toys. Has eaten most of a large tube of Pringles and several items from a selection pack as well as a full cooked breakfast 😬. His twin brother is just ‘bored’. Other grandpa and auntie have arrived so things livening up.

Thoughts with those missing one or more family members or friends this Christmas and those with health problems - hope some peace and joy can be found today 💐

Good morning and Merry Christmas from New York, only -6 today. It’s only 9.45am, but we’re off to The Zoo, then lunch in an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately DD, SiL and DGS2 have heavy colds. SinL is floored with it, so we’ve had to restrict our itinerary.
Good news Susan - best present for your family this year.
Hope everyone has the very best day they can. X

Good morning Mick and All.

I’m so very pleased for you Susan. What a stressful time for you all. Continued thoughts and prayers.

Our visit to our DS has not been without drama. Our 2 DGS and our step DGS have all been ill with sickness, colds and temperatures and it has been like A and E here. The Calpol has been glugged down by all. DH and I are wondering when we will catch it. 😷😷

Hopefully we can all have Christmas Dinner together without any more hospital dramas.

A very happy Christmas to you All. 🎄🥂❄️☃️

I am a reader of this lovely thread not a poster but just want to wish all you lovely people the very best Christmastime possible.
Cheers! Glad to see better news from Susan.

Such good news Susan, may your DGS continue to improve.

Happy Christmas everyone, from a grey SW London, but no wind or rain and it’s quite mild. A peaceful day here, just me and dh, but the hordes (dd1 and family) descending on the 27th, which will be lovely. In the meantime they’re with the ILs in Devon - and my bonkers dd1 is going to do the Big Sea Swim later today! 🥶🥶

But I’ve just done the veg, so a nice chilled day now - time to crack open the Buck’s Fizz! So 🥂🍷🎅🏻🎄everybody!

Good morning and Happy Xmas to all gransnetters from a wet northwest Lancashire coast.
To midnight mass last night with DD and the turkey is in the oven after DD pressed the wrong switch, the ‘kids’ doing the major part of the cooking. DS, my vampire, still sleeping…
Will open my stocking with DD soon.
I amused myself in the supermarket yesterday picking up final bits and bobs and some stocking fillers. Spotted the tuna and thought “DD likes tuna?” Imagine putting a tin of tuna in a stocking 😁
Hope you all have a truly lovely day.

Good Morning and Happy Christmas to you all. The photo is a credit to @casadoalgarve. We are all behind, not even opened any presents yet as DH collapsed on Friday evening. Thank goodness he was able to be sorted out at home and hasn’t had to spend Christmas in hospital. I’ll tell you more about it hopefully tomorrow and try to catch up with you all later Hope everyone has a happy day.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 25-Dec-22 10:20:06

Just popped on to see if there was any news from Susan56 and the news was positive, thank goodness.

As usual I thought my largest oven was bigger than it actually is, thankfully eldest son has wrangled the bird in, and it is now cooking.

Sar53 Sun 25-Dec-22 10:19:20

I hope your DGS makes a full and speedy recovery Susan xx

Mollygo Sun 25-Dec-22 10:16:01

Happy Christmas to all from a rather damp Lancashire. Dog walked and noodled, trousers changed. Food is prepped and some already cooking. Family arrive around midday so it’s still quiet here.
I usually only lurk, but lovely to hear good news about Susan’s GS.

Thorntrees Sun 25-Dec-22 10:10:39
