Pigs in blankets were my favourite too so far. Came from a local farm shop.

Devils on horseback-I made 24 but hid the last 4 to enjoy when everyone had gone.

Dinner not until later but the pigs in blankets from our local butcher cooked in the air fryer for breakfast were fabulous

DH has just done Christmas lunch for the two of us. Completely by himself, I’ve broken my right shoulder so am unable to help, revised to be glorious glazed ham with mash and the Xmas pickles so I can eat with a spoon. Best meal ever!

So far - we won’t be having dinner till later - it’ll be smoked salmon (with cream cheese and bagels) traditional in this house for breakfast at Christmas.

Very glad you enjoyed yours but sorry to say I’ve always found oysters - raw ones anyway - very overrated - I dare say I’m weird, but wasn’t surprised to learn that in Dickens’ time, they were considered poor people’s food!

My daughter, love her, got 6 dozen unshucked oysters flown down from Merimbula for our Christmas dinner entree. They were to die for, just so fresh with a squeeze of lemon juice and black pepper. Everyone brings something so we had a lot but that was so special. I should say that it is very traditional to have seafood at Christmas in Australia.
