Moving to Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire. Advice

I am retiring to Bishop's Cleeve in Gloucestershire, next year with my husband from West Yorkshire, to be nearer my daughter, if all goes to plan.

Advice needed on the best doctors to register with?

The best dentist to go to?

Am I right in thinking there are no NHS dentists in the area?

There seems to be lots of activities going on in Bishop's Cleeve. Where we live now, I am a member of two ladies groups, one of which is the WI.
I also go to yoga. (Although I haven't been recently due to my Yoga teacher being ill)
I also go to dance fitness classes.
So I will be looking to join these types of activities in Bishop's Cleeve.
Any recommendations?

I am also looking for a railway modelling group for my husband to join. He models in EM gauge. He is a member of the EM Gauge society here in Yorkshire and the Scalefour society.

Thank you.

Bishop's Cleeve is just down the road from me, but I only drive through it to get to Cheltenham, so don't really know much about what's on offer.

However, I think they have a community hub on Facebook, so you might get lots of information by asking on there. You'd have to join the group but I doubt it takes long for approval.

The thing is, Cheltenham is virtually on Bishop's Cleeve's doorstep, and it has just about everything!

And Winchcombe, just 20 minutes by car has a model railway group, or did have - pre-pandemic.

... it also has a steam-train railway line.

Good luck with your move.

PS.

Yes, NHS dentists are like hen's teeth!

I left Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve a long time ago. But a long term friend is now with the BC U3A, and does their website as I do here in Burnham. Check on u3asites.org.uk/bishops-cleeve/home smile
