No fizz for me or anyone else tonight at The Sober and Substance Free gig we are going to. The best party in town!

I shall have a little bottle of Prosecco, tonight. Not going anywhere but home, by choice. Then tomorrow morning, I shall have a bottle of my favourite Mumm Champagne with a few canapes, whilst watching live, on BBC, The Vienna New Day's Concert. OH may have a glass but I find I can over a couple of hours watching this wonderful concert, finish the bottle off. I usually sleep it off in the afternoon. This NY's Day, we are picking someone up from the airport in the evening, I won't be driving but I intend to accompany my OH. A very decadent start to my New Year but I have been doing it for a few years now!

We are drinking a local fizz from Wistons - just below Chanctonbury and about 3 miles from us.- delicious.

As a late dear friend of mine used to say, as long as it makes you feel dizzy and talk a lot of nonsence it fine!
HNY everyone.

I’ve drunk Champagne, Prosecco and Cava over the holidays and can honestly say they all tasted much the same - highly overrated in my opinion.

Has to be Champagne with back up bottles of Cremant in ours tonight with chums.

Happy New Year everyone

Champagne gives me indigestion tried various brands over the years. My choice is a Rose Cava it has softer bubbles I don’t mind Prosecco but prefer Cava.🥂

We will be having champagne with son and daughter in law in his garden bar. He’s also making cocktails. Just hope he gets the measures right after he got them wrong a couple of Christmas Eves ago. They were so strong I didn’t see Christmas Eve just had to go straight for a lie down and there I stayed!

Prosecco is what we usually have but DH got a bargain on some proper champagne this Christmas and it was fabulous. I'd forgotten how much nicer than prosecco it is. M&S prosecco too.

We’ve just had a M&S Rose Prosecco this evening between 5 of us which was very pleasant then DH opened the French Champagne which had lurked in our second fridge in the garage for a couple of years. We must have brought it back from France but when we can’t remember. It was truly lovely! We drink very little as a family. We won’t stay up for New Year tomorrow even though I’m a Scot.

Just wondering what if any types of bubbles might be enjoyed for celebrating/or not celebrating...had a lovely Lanson Brut Champs as gift and normally don't like any champagne but this was dry and did not leave a bad after taste...also enjoy M&S Prosecco Rose or white and some dry Cava...followed by pint of water!
