Last night there was a programme about someone who thought he could use maths and computing to predict what will happen in 2023.
I didn't watch it because, imo, predicting the future is a form of infinite monkeys. Predictions are only proven to be true in retrospect and those that don't come true tend to be forgotten.
So here's a game for 2023. Make half a dozen predictions. They can be reasonable or wild....it doesn't really matter. Then, if any of us remember
we'll come back to this thread on 31st December and see if we got anything right. Of course you're predications don't have to be specific (unless you want them to be) as the more obscure then the more chance you have of being right when looking back.
Here's my six.
A volcano will erupt in the Pacific causing loss of life.
A magnitude 5 earthquake will happen in California or along the Cascades.
Aliens will make contact.
Celtic will beat Rangers.
There will be war in Africa.
There will be strange, prolonged droughts and/or violent storms throughout the world.
See it's easy. Predict anything you like. Lets see how many we 'get right'.
