M&S light up plum spiced snowglobe gin

I received a free bottle of this from Ocado in early January last year. I thought it was absolutely disgusting. It’s not gin - look at the ABV on the bottle. It’s a sweet sickly drink with cheap gin added. I concede the bottle itself didn’t look bad. I gave it to DD2 who I don’t suppose drank it either.

Can you decant the gin and use the globe separately, maybe topping up with water if the silver bits are in amongst the liquid? I assumed they'd be in a compartment inside the bottle, not in the gin itself, but I don't know. I got my daughter and DIL a bottle each as stocking fillers, and they are pretty. I wrapped them straight away, so didn't look closely.

The silver flecks are in the gin itself, it's edible silver, I kept swirling my glass to get the snow globe effect They are really pretty, and I am enjoying it.

It would not last long enough in our house to be kept in the fridge. Cheers

Well I bought mine for Christmas 2021, and have been finishing it off this Christmas with no ill effects. 😊 Ditto the clementine one. The only alcohol I’d refrigerate (or drink very quickly!) would be a cream liqueur. Or a nice white wine of course.

It should be pointed out that is a liquour and not straight gin.

Why on earth would gin need to be kept refrigerated! For years we have kept a bottle in the freezer but that’s so it’s cold, not for “safety”.
It’s absolute risk averse nonsense, like a plain white cotton garment labelled dry-clean only.

I was also given a bottle as a gift but hadn’t noticed that it has to be kept in the fridge.
It is still unopened so thanks for the heads up.
I was also gifted one , different flavour, from Sainsbury’s, that has silver flecks in.
It tastes like cough medicine, I must check if that also needs the fridge.

I got one of these for free as one of the 12 days of Christmas offerings with my Sparks card. I hadn’t noticed that. Yes I wonder why it’s to be stored in a fridge?
