Good morning all from East Yorkshire. Still dark but it’s dry at the moment.

Yesterday we decided to have a venture across the bridge to Cleethorpes. It was sunny but very bracing with a bitterly cold wind coming off the water. I didn’t feel too good when we arrived there so didn’t stay too long. Got a couple of items in the sales. Had a fish and chip lunch and came home.

Today it’s back to my usual coffee morning , couple of free hours then GS pick up after school. I’m sure he will be excited to tell me all about how his Birthday party went yesterday. It was a bowling party with 11 friends. I might also start to put away a few Christmas bits today.

Have a good day everyone.,

Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Walking with some neighbours this morning. It is an initiative started by one of our neighbours who has won an award for promoting healthy activities. I hope it doesn’t rain.

Pleased life is getting back to normal.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dark Oxfordshire, I haven’t looked out yet but I’m expecting rain as the heating hasn’t come on yet so it’s probably warmer outside.

I was going on an early dog walk with MissOops but if it’s raining she will just drop the dog off for the day and I’ll go out later.

Apart some a huge misunderstanding with MzOops that I have to try to sort today that’s it, we’ve been going along very happily helping them to secure a move to the other end of the Country, only to realise that ‘we’ meant ‘us’ as well, I felt so sorry for the mix up but I was only able to leave a voice message as she was out, I’ll have that conversation later today, I do feel bad but what was she thinking, all of those plans that I now realise included us, without a sit down to talk it through.
Oh dear, this won’t be a happy conversation.

Anyway, enjoy your day and let’s hope we see some sunshine at some stage during the day.

Good morning from a dark Colchester.
We got an unexpected invitation to join DD and family at Pizza Express last night and were surprised at how frosty it was on our short walk home. As GM says it is a few degrees warmer now and there's rain in the forecast.
Charity shop volunteering today as it's Tuesday.
Love to all 🦩 x

Morning all

It’s dark outside and 6° apparently?

It’s The Imps third birthday today, he has this horrible virus/bug that’s doing the rounds so plans have been altered. I cannot believe it was three years ago he arrived into our world 💙

Last bed to be changed this morning, then I shall go through all the Christmas decorations before packing away.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark but it sounds quite windy. The forecast is for about 3º today so hopefully the snow will melt and I’ll see the garden again
Lovely blue sky in the picture Ash and well done with your walking
Enjoy your drinks get together later BlueSapphire, sounds like you’ve got good neighbours
Im going to start putting a few decorations away today bit by bit. Later we’ve got the DGC coming for a sleepover and we’re looking after them tomorrow as they’re not back to school until next week.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

No Matt yet.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s raining and still dark. I set the alarm as we are spending the day with another demographic of our family! Yesterday was spent taking my stepfather to the hospital (he’s fine) and today we’re minding the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss over at theirs as their parents are back in work and they don’t go back to school until tomorrow. You forget how horrible it is to be jolted from a nice deep sleep!

I’ve discovered how much I love ‘Happy Valley’ on BBC1 and so I’m playing catch up with series 1 & 2. I’ll be settling down to watch that tonight!

Have a good day all. x

Good morning everyone, as usual it’s wet Wiltshire here!
Yesterday I had a lovely video chat with my DGCs all about their weekend away, they had a lovely time.
Today it’s crafts this morning, I must take a parcel to the post office on my way, Ocado shop first thing and DDog has her lovely dog walker so that’s the morning sorted 😊
I’ve started an Aran cardigan for my great niece, so far it’s going quite well. My wool stash needs another decluttering session this week, I have far, far too much 🙄
I hope the week goes well for you all x

Good morning everyone from a drizzly, currently 6 degree south Hants.
Apart from a dog walk and a small Sainsbury’s shop, today will be spent taking down Christmas decorations and putting things in the loft.
DH has been busy painting his fishing floats with MY bright nail varnish and sorting through his fishing tackle.
Have the best day you can. Thinking of those that are unwell and those thar are feeling low 🦩🦩🦩
Hugs and 💐💐 for you all x

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s still very dark but in the street lights it looks like there has been a very hard frost. 10 degrees and rain later.
Awake very early after a poor sleep. Some ironing to do, lunch with a friend and a neighbour to take to an out patient appointment will fill my day.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dark and raining.

I bought some flowers yesterday to cheer the house up now the decorations are put away. Not properly as I want to sort them out and store differently. I turned up the hem on my dress and at long last it is finished. I tried it on with the cardigan/shrug I’m going to wear and got out the sinamay fabric for my fascinator and was very pleased to see that the fabric and shrug could have been dyed together as they were a good match. I was later surprised to receive a message from my son-in-law. All in all a good day.
Off swimming later and I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been feeling a tad stiff.

Have a good day all 🌼

Good morning all from acdark and mild North Leicestershire.

I drove to Sainsbury's on my own yesterday!! I had a bit of a wander round the sale stuff but soon tired and came home.

Today I am hoping to manage choir and then a visit to the physio.

Have the very best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a very wet Torbay after a day of glorious sunshine yesterday.

We made the most of it by parking at Torquay station and walking more than two miles to the harbour and around where we enjoyed a delicious fish lunch. Afterwards, we were fortunate to see the bridge open to enable one craft to leave and another to enter the harbour.

Back to reality today with an appointment with the dental hygienist and another at my surgery for a BP check.

Enjoy whatever comes your way today, especially if it’s not raining! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning everyone from a still dark and dry Northampton. Up early this morning as I have a hair appointment for colour and cut at 9am. Been ages since I've seen this time of day!

A day on my own yesterday; spent the morning doing very little then after lunch had a sudden urge to blitz one of the spare bedrooms; actually hoovered under the bed! Tidied away some clothes that had been piled on the bed, and then ordered new sheets and pilliwcases, (in the sale at Sainsbury's).

Then made a hearty soup with leftover turkey from my New Year dinner, so that was last night's and tonight's dinner sorted. Watched the first of a new series of The Repair Shop, and caught up with another couple of recordings.

Will see what the weather is like for our health walk this afternoon, think rain is forecast. Then tonight I have been invited to neighbours for New Year drinks and nibbles, which I am looking forward to.

Take care on your excursion out today Mick; and hope that Tuesday is kind to all.

grandMattie Tue 03-Jan-23 06:08:00

Grrrr - it IS winter and it’s 8C!

grandMattie Tue 03-Jan-23 06:07:24

Good morning from E Kent. Haven’t looked out yet. Weren’t the temperatures peculiar last night? Here it was 3C just after sunset, climbing to 88C now!
I have started a pullover in scarlet wool for myself; it’s going well. I decided the nativity could wait until later.
Tai chi has been cancelled today because not enough of us are available- we are 9 at most! I’m sorry about that as I fancied talking to someone rather than myself for a change - BTW I only had a couple of texts from DL to date!
I must do my Spanish homework for Thursday, also make a bag for the Holy family etc., to be kept in for the year, and some spare baby Jesus’ later…
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
