"Oh forgot the question was "why did you choose it?", I like a play on words, I'm not the only one there's SueDonim and LauraNorder to name but two.
I was BaNana once when I first joined which had all the right components for me, first two letters of my Christian name, I'd just become a grandma and I love bananas, but somehow or other I lost it but can't remember why
When I first saw "Theexwife," I somehow missed the ex wife bit and thought the poster was married to Theex, thinking "that's a strange name" from then on, I envisaged Theex as a Viking Warrior with a horned helmet
That made me laugh, JaneJudge. It was meant to be light hearted, but I suppose it is rather dark really. And it's true. Mum would pick up a hen, wring it's neck and cut it's throat, then give it to me to pluck.
I started off with another name and left. When I rejoined I came up with the name I have now. It’s nothing to do with anything. My daughter also sussed out I was 🤣
When I was lurking I read about members cooking from scratch, jam making, dressmaking, crafting, knitting and other things that I just can't or don't do. I said to my DH "they are all domestic goddesses and I am very definitely not!" He pointed out that nobody knew I wasn't. I decided to give myself a Goddess's name and if I was going to do that then it might as well be a good one. Juno is the queen of the Roman gods 😊. I had to add a number as I couldn't have just Juno.
When I first joined a forum I had just broken my ankle , but was told it was a sprain , I walked round Edinburgh for a long weekend using a crutch I’d borrowed , got home to a message to go back to A+E , anyway I was in agony , didn’t want to use my given name as it is unique , made up a long name with Aggie in it now shortened Reading that I’m not sure it makes sense !
Because I’ve always disliked my given name Maureen friends and family called me Mo which I liked better. I would have loved to have pretty name like Esme. I truly hope I haven’t offended any Maureen’s out there if I have I do apologise
