Why did you choose your Gransnet Name?

Martha, sister of Lazarus is a people pleaser. I do tend to do what I think people want me to do rather than what I want to do. My 3 sisters each are blessed with great humour, they're funny, quick witted, cheeky. I have a good sense of humour but way behind them. So to be thought of as a jolly one pleases me

It's a shortened version of my middle name plus I live close to the coast and love to walk along the beach . No imagination

Years ago when I was an English girl living in lovely England, someone nicknamed after this song. Just hearing it again makes me want to do the Boogaloo.

I have 3 dearly loved adult children.

Very boring reason: my name and my age at the time.
Perhaps I should be more creative and join again under another name.

Not at all fond of my real name so was delighted to choose something that I like to be known as on here, based on my second name.
Wish I could switch in real life too!

Trying to think of a name that no-one else had, as some attempts I couldn’t have as others had them. I was using a ziplock bag for something and thought that might work, though I realise I have probably spelt it incorrectly 😂.

I work with many younger than me. It’s a running joke as I’m at least 15 years older than some, twice as old as others.

For what I would hope are obvious reasons, it was the name I used for several years on a forum for carers of people with dementia, and I couldn’t be bothered to think of another.

It rhymes with part of my real name and was my nickname at primary school. It has nothing to do with my hair - which is straight!

Because it took me 32ish years to walk away from horrible marriage.
And the year date is when i found out something that really affected me,and still does.

I’m Irish and wanted Irisheyes but it was taken. I enjoyed Irish dancing at school. I wish I could have thought of something smarter because I don’t really like it - any ideas?

Mine is based on my horse's posh name. I sadly had to have her PTS in the summer but at least my username reminds me of how lovely she was!
