Good Morning Mick and everyone from Madeira.

Annsixty hope your GDs hospital appointment goes well. 💐
Urmstongran I saw your stepfather was having problems I’m sorry to hear that. Wishing him well and hoping he feels back to his old self soon💐

This morning we have a large taxi arriving to pick us up at 10am to take us on a tour of the west side of the island. It’s a full day but it will take in lots of views and stops for sightseeing. My DH and I have driven the island many times but it’s been great showing everyone the place we love.
The cable car and Monte Gardens were great. My sister coped very well in the gardens with her mobility as it’s very up and down but we all looked after her.

Hoping everyone has a lovely day and thoughts to those with illness and worries. 🌻🌻

Good morning everyone from Severnside. Dark and damp. When I got up all the clocks were flashing so there must have been a power cut.
Making my breakfast I was thinking about something else and my tea nearly ended up with a dollop of yoghurt.

I’ve no more physio appointments to attend, just see how I go for the time being with my exercises.

I’m going to get my haircut this morning and visit my friend who wasn’t home yesterday. Her husband was so we had a nice chat and I admired the work he has been doing.

I hope all goes well at the hospital Urmsand ann. Have a good day all 🌸

Good morning, it’s wet and windy here…..again!
Dd and her DDog arrived yesterday, so plenty of catching up going on.
Today we’re taking the dogs to a new dog field, they’ll enjoy chasing each other around for an hour. Both are very energetic and Romanian rescues.
Have a peaceful day everyone x

Good morning everyone from a still dark Northampton, but a really bright moon, and it is dry out.

I have two neighbours coming for coffee this morning, and I have yet to tidy up. Must get the best mugs and plates out! Will be cutting some of my Christmas cake for them. No doubt we shall set the world to rights. Once they have gone I can start to take the decorations down.

Tonight all in our little close have been invited to our newest neighbour for mulled wine; we are all agog to see how much they have done to their house since they moved in; it was in a terrible state as the previous owner (a single elderly gentleman) had pretty much neglected it for years.

Wishing a pleasant Friday to all.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. I’m getting ready as we leave in half an hour to pick my stepfather up and drive to a hospital, Wythenshawe, which is just this side of the airport. He needs a blood transfusion which sadly “is no longer available” at Trafford General. Another sign of the times. Sigh. That lovely hospital is now like a huge health centre only with so many services taken away from it. It used to have a consultant led A&E dept, a special care baby unit, an ICU. All so sad really that local residents need to get on a motorway for anything but the basic. Not very ‘green’ either is it? Rant over.

I looked up blood transfusion on the NHS website. Apparently they can take up to four hours. I’ll take me book! Plus it gives the poor man a rest from my wittering. He can close his eyes for an hour or two.

Morning Mick, morning all from a dark, damp corner of Somerset

Yesterdays foray into the loft was followed by a trip to both a charity shop and the recycling centre. The sorting out project will be ongoing, Mr C has agreed to tackle the jigsaws today, we surely don’t need over 50.

My first task is to book a short break with friends, I’ve been designated travel agent for several years now. I’m happy to do it, although there is always anxiety involved. Other than that the ironing awaits, my turn I fear.

Good luck ann, hope your granddaughters appointment goes smoothly and you can soon be home again.

Take care everyone. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

A very unusual early Good Morning from me today.
My GD has a hospital appointment today at 9am to which she has asked me to go to with her.
We must leave the house no later than 8 am, consequently I have had about 4 hours broken sleep.
It is a long time since I haven’t been able to stay in bed as long as I choose.
I am so very tired that I am sure I will doze for the rest of the day.
I don’t know the weather yet but last night it hammered down with rain yet again.
I will get my cuppa now and I hope you all have the best day you can.

For those readers - I have just finished a good book “the shadow child” by Rachel Hancox

A dry and calm start in Torbay.

We had planned an early Lidl shop today but (unusually) I haven’t slept well so DH has offered to go alone, an offer which I’ve readily accepted. My hero! ❣️

The decorations must come down today so, by staying at home, I’ll have some energy to make a start on that.

A blessed Epiphany to you all. 🌟✝️👶🏻

Good morning from a clear E Kent. The moon, although not full, as very bright in the western sky earlier.
My Roscon was very well received by my Spanish class students, and I packed them all home with a piece. It was delicious and I’ll use that recipe again. Curiously, we had a short video of a Spanish lady making the dough/bread and, apart from minor details, the recipe was identical to the one I used. The only big difference is that she made two with the dough, instead of the one ginormous one I made! I’ll know for another time.
DD called and we discussed potential flats. I would really like to have moved by Easter. We’ll see…
Quiet day again today. Visiting another old friend up the road this morning.
May the day bring comfort and small pleasures to everyone. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
