Good morning all from East Yorkshire. Still dark and 3 degrees. Dry at the moment but it’s not a good forecast - a rainy day.

We had GD yesterday afternoon. She was a delight and no trouble at all. Took her to the park but it was quite muddy. She enjoyed the swings and the small slide. Back home she enjoyed playing with toys I kept from GSs days with us.

Today is my usual coffee morning and GS school pick up. Will need a trip to Aldi or Lidl to get his favourite dessert in between.

Hope all goes well for your DH Sar also that Urms dear SF has had a trouble free evening and yes what a palaver for him and you as his support.

Good luck to you too Grandmabatty a full day with your two boys 😀

Hope Shazza arrived home safe and sound.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.

We will be leaving shortly to drive over to mum’s to take her to the memory clinic. She said yesterday I’ll tell them you try living on your own for nearly thirty years and not going a bit Billy bonkers🙈

Another fan of Snowdonia cheeses here.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning all from North Leicestershire where it is dry (I think) and 4°.

Belated happy birthday wishes for yesterday LauraNorderr. I hope you had the best day.

I have a gp appointment this morning to discuss the findings of a CT scan I had before Christmas.

Then I hope to restore some order to the house.

Morning Mick, morning All. No need to look out, I can hear rain on the window. Our corner of Somerset is wet for sure.

A much better day yesterday A long walk in intermittent sunshine after an enjoyable garden centre breakfast. Finding our usual charity shop unable to take donations we headed for town and were welcomed by staff in the Salvation Army shop. Mr C disappeared for a haircut leaving me to wander for a while. Phone calls later in the day and a relaxed evening. Excellent.

We’re beginning our new ‘to do’ list today. I’ll try to make a dent in the ever growing list of irritants, mostly computer based stuff and phone calls,. Mr C said he’ll tackle the tops of the kitchen cupboards. Rather him than me for sure.

Been thinking of urms step dad. Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 10-Jan-23 07:08:47

Morning all

It’s still dark here, we have heavy rain forecast until late afternoon so I have no excuse not clean the kitchen plinths and sort out some cupboards.

Nannagarra we had a cheese hamper from the Snowdonia Cheese Co., many tasty morsels.

Urmstongran I will pop into the kitchen to catch-up with DSF news.

Ashcombe sounds like your health mojo is up and running.

gtandMattie sorry your WI is not welcoming, some folks are at a loss when it comes to speaking to someone recently bereaved (((hugs)))

Sar53 hope all goes well for your DH

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and damp. The forecast is not promising. Sar I hope all goes well for your dh and you feel better soon. Ash you take such delight in being well. Can I send you a couple of very small boys? 😂 Urms I read your post on soops kitchen late last night. While it's good that your stepfather is getting some kind of treatment, it sounds like such a palaver for you. Grandmattie maybe when you move, you will find a nicer group of people to socialise with.
Yesterday was a good day albeit tiring. The baby is no bother and the three year old and I played with play dough once I'd picked him up from nursery. He didn't want to go home but was mollified by being at Grandma's house today.
Today is a teacher's strike so I will have both boys. The weather is supposed to be awful so no walks out as the buggy doesn't have a great rain cover. So we will play with play dough again. I have a stone dinosaur for dgs1 to paint and we'll make cakes. The rest of the time will be up to the boys. Chicken curry for dinner, if I have the energy to make it! Have a good day all.

I love black bomber Nannagarra.

Beechnut Tue 10-Jan-23 06:55:59

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Very dark and the rain is running down one of my windows. Not a nice day forecast.

I will go swimming today. Last week I found out that the annual increase cost had risen by quite a lot. I did wonder about a season ticket but I won’t bother as I don’t go to enough sessions to make it cheaper.

Have a good day all 🌼🦩

Good morning from Sefton where inclement weather has halted roofing work.
Yesterday I had a lovely phone call with LauraNorderr before minding DS’s puppy. He and DiL are very enthusiastically enjoying (depleting 😆) our assortment of cheese truckles. I will shortly place another order from Snowdonia but I’m also interested in posters’ recommendations of something very similar to black bomber, produced in Cheshire, rectangular in shape and sold in Lidl. Could anyone name it, please? Kalettes in Waitrose were endorsed by friends last week so they too could be on today’s shopping list.
Whatever your plans, have a pleasant Tuesday.

Wyllow3 Tue 10-Jan-23 06:51:12

Morning all

nother rainy day in S Yorks i'm off to the gym later and have my Zoom counselling session.

Have the best days possible, all, especially for poorlies and family poorlies.

Might try for a bit more snooze first.

Ashcombe Tue 10-Jan-23 06:46:29

Yes, indeed, grandMattie, thank you! I seem to have more energy now than I've had for a few years which is most encouraging.

Sar53 Tue 10-Jan-23 06:46:08

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is still dark and I have no idea what the weather is doing.
DH has an appointment with a Plastic surgeon this morning. Hopefully a date will be given for removing the two basel cell carcinomas on his face.
I hope he can find somewhere to park at the hospital, never an easy job.
I have felt under the weather these past few days so I'm hoping to feel better today.
Have the best Tuesday you can everyone xx

grandMattie Tue 10-Jan-23 06:39:29

I’m so pleased for you,*Ash*, that your operation has been such a success. The wonders of modern medicine!

Ashcombe Tue 10-Jan-23 06:18:57

Good morning from a breezy Torbay with drizzle, according to the weather app on my phone.

That’s a shame regarding your tai chi class, grandMattie. It's sad regarding the atmosphere at your WI but it perhaps is preparing you for moving, maybe later this year.

Yesterday, it was a fine morning so DH and I walked to the smaller branch of Lidl and back, a distance of about 1.5 miles. I experienced no breathlessness despite it including an incline and there being wind at times.

Sorry you haven’t slept well, BlueBalou, especially when you plan to be busy today.

Wishing everyone as good a day as possible and I hope Urmstongran’s DSF is recovering. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning, a drizzly start here in Wiltshire.
I’ve been awake since 3am, no idea why, so exasperating.
DD and dog stayed for a few more days, they are going home today I think.
The house needs a good clean, the kitchen floor is filthy from muddy dog feet and I desperately need to sort everything out - I cannot relax in a muddle and mess. Unfortunately DD is as untidy as her father 🙄
I’m out at craft club this morning, this afternoon will be spent cleaning I suspect. Hoping DH goes out, housework ‘isn’t my job’ according to him 🤬. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish sorting it out before being out on Thursday and Friday 🤞🏻
I dream of a clean and tidy house….

grandMattie Tue 10-Jan-23 06:07:36

Good morning from a hazy, chilly E Kent.
I did some sorting out yesterday morning and found some of my late mother bits and pieces, she died over 13 years ago…
Today, my chiropodist appointment was moved from 0800 to 1030, meaning I’ll miss half my tai chi class. We have a WI meeting this evening; a talk I’ve heard before. I no longer enjoy the meetings as most of the membership has changed and sadly few people talk to me now.
I was sorting out the bins yesterday and saw a package in an M&S bag. It was a Christmas present from a neighbour. I dropped a card to thank them. Curiously, in the late afternoon, she called to ask if I’d found it! 😂
Hope things go well for you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
