I am sitting by my husband’s bedside in hospital as he has had a heart attack. Next 24 hours are critical.

Best wishes Cabbie21 to you and your DH. My DH had heart problems a couple of years ago and had to have surgery, so I can understand some of what you're going through. I hope all goes well for you both, and he is in the best place. flowers and [hugs]

Thank you. I had a lift home and got food, went to bed but was woken by my well- meaning son at the door. So tired yet wide awake now. No further news, but I do appreciate your hugs and kind words.

Cabbie My every sympathy. I was there 18 months ago. Despite all the NHS problems, trauma response is wonderful and there is so much now that can be done for people like your DH.

Look after yourself, that is as important as the care the doctors and nurses are giving your DH.

FannyCornforth Thu 12-Jan-23 06:18:51

Agnieszka your English is absolutely excellent!

FannyCornforth Thu 12-Jan-23 06:17:24

Hello Cabbie thinking of you and your husband thanks x
It’s wonderful that he’s been so well looked after.

Cabbie21 Thu 12-Jan-23 06:14:17

What lovely people you all are. So kind.
So are the staff here. The ward is very busy now getting everyone washed. Stepson has gone for a Kip in relatives room.

Hi Cabbie21 awake here now. I hope you manage to get some rest and sustenance for yourself to help you help your husband. Will be thinking of you and your DH as you face the day ahead.

SunshineSally Thu 12-Jan-23 04:53:42

Hi Cabbie21 - am wide awake too and just wanted to send you a bear hug. I’m so sorry that this has happened.
Please try and rest yourself. He’s in the best place. Hopefully the meds will soon work so that he’s able to have a stent fitted.
Please know that you and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers xx

Hope all goes well and he recovers soon . We are awake here in Australia of course.

GrandmaSeaDragon Thu 12-Jan-23 03:10:35

Oh Cabbie so sorry to read this. Glad your DH was admitted straight to the ward, it must have been awful waiting for 2 hours before the paramedics came. At least your DH is in the best place now and under close observation. Hope the drugs do some good soon and that you have been able to get a drink and something to sustain you. It’s 10 years tomorrow since I had a heart attack and remember the busy-ness of the cardiac ward, the bright lights and beeping machines. Thoughts and prayers to you both through the coming hours x
