Rock cakes in the Air fryer

Since I bought it, I’ve used my Air fryer for a lot of recipes, but hadn’t tried cakes. Make a quick batch of Rock Cakes today and they’re ok. The recipe says to line the Air fryer with foil - I did this for the first few, then switched to greased greaseproof paper - seemed better. They also took longer than it said, even though I made them smaller - about 12 mins. I used whole meal SR flour. Cup of tea now….smile

Well, they look nice 😊. Did they turn out ok taste wise?

Yes, they’re really yummy! Very light. DGS (9) has just eaten 3!

Sarah they look nice. I made cheese scones in mine recently and they were lighter than the ones I usually cook in the main oven and rose better. I’m going to have a go at a proper cake.

What would you cook the cake in, Greyduster? (In terms of a cake tin)

Sorry, I should have said; mine is an air fryer oven - it has removable shelves so I can fit tins and dishes in it. I’m told you can make cakes in an ordinary air fryer. Hopefully someone will be along to say you can or say I have no idea what I’m talking about!

Just cooking them now. Easy and quick.

Thanks Sarah 👍

Any other recipes for air fryer? Please.
