Morning all from a frozen West Oxfordshire. It is the monthly U3A lunch club today so OH and I will be toddling off to that. Later I might try and do a bit of knitting and get back to sorting out the spare photographs I found the other day. I bought the perfect box to put them in. This will go in younger son’s refurbished old bedroom - when the decorators have been and gone, that is. I ordered new curtains for that room too. They are quite bizarre with large monkeys sitting in trees! I’ll post a picture when they’re here. Have a good day, especially those who are unhappy or not feeling the full picnic.

Whitewavemark2: When we’re in the UK, DH has a British friend locally who cleans, gardens and looks after the cat (s), for which he pays.

Morning all.

No frost for the first time, but it will be overcast.

After a day in yesterday have Cabin Fever so will head out to the gym, and there is a Quaker Zoom later.

Bests for poorlies and enjoy friends and family meet ups.

Good morning all from the South Downs. Another cold day forecast but tonight is forecast to be warmer than the day so hopefully more mild weather is going to arrive.

That is surely a little queen ashcombe - so pretty. What happens when you come back to the U.K.?

After our early morning walk in half an hour or so, I’m taking it easy today, as I have overdone it and yesterday felt exhausted, cold and shivery - covid fatigue set in. My own fault. I do know my limit but push too hard at times.

A couple of days relaxing should sort me out.

No other news. Ceiling still not done and DH still without clothes. I’m going to phone and push hard today. Don’t suppose it will make any difference.

Enjoy what is hopefully one of the last cold days one and all.

Good morning from an even frostier Wiltshire, with warnings of black ice 🙄🥶
Very pleased to be staying put today other than DDog walking.
I had an ECG yesterday, the nurse was lovely. Luckily I managed to get a go appointment for Monday to see him face to face- the receptionist seemed to have other ideas despite my saying that he had requested it during my telephone consultation.
DH is off to the jury service again today, he’s moaning nonstop about it so fervently hoping it’s not going to go on for weeks….

Stay safe and warm everyone x

Sorry, more than once I have inadvertently duplicated the GM thread…
I spent some time tidying the house for a viewing yesterday, but it’ll be today! I’ve managed to lose stuff I’ve hidden, and although I’m not that messy, the day-to-day mess has to be kept to a minimum. Unless I receive an offer in the next couple of days, the info goes live online on Friday.
Tai chi went well; I try and mix up a bit by changing the wall we face to do the “forms”. It always causes hilarity as we get the movements in a mess. It is very good for us as we tend to do the movements without thinking.
In the afternoon, DH’s record player was finally collected (I haven’t had an acknowledgment from the local charity, which annoys me). Supermarket shop.
I fell asleep in front of the tv, which has become very rare for me. It disoriented me and I went to bed early.
Today, I’ve got myWI federation needle craft group. They are a lovely bunch of ladies and I haven’t been for several months because of DL. (BTW, she has got a prosthetic leg and is being taught to walk with it).
Have a serene day, one and all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a very cold corner of La Sarthe with little change from yesterday. Brrh! I hope that those in pain have had a better night, especially Marydoll. Thanks for opening up, grandMattie. I hope Mick has a safe journey home.

I’m pleased to say that our Wi-Fi is back to normal. A telephone engineer turned up as promised and in no time at all he was up a ladder to reach a telegraph pole and put things right. He had the protection of a helmet but no mate to steady the ladder! Your problem sounds much more serious, Abitbarmy! Although DH could use his phone's mobile data to feed his laptop, mine just wouldn’t play. ☹️🤔 🙄

Thank you for the kind, supportive comments about my progress since undergoing surgery on Hallowe’en. I’m feeling pretty much back to normal although tire easily so early nights are us most of the time. My dear late Mum always said that sleep was a great healer.

Today we see the vet to have the kitten checked and chipped so then we’ll have her gender confirmed, Grammaretto, but we’re fairly sure it’s a girl! If not, it’s a pretty boy! I’m not sure if I shared this photo before.

Welcome to Leanetta! A few years ago the Y6 children whom I taught had a comprehension test for the English SAT paper which was about a female lorry driver which was fascinating. I’m always in awe of anyone who can manoeuvre a large vehicle.

That’s more than enough from me! Happy hump day! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning and thanks GM. S somerset is going to be gloomy and foggy all day after a cold night, oh dear I shall have to be extra cheerful

I have a bit of sorting in a craft cupboard later, lots of circular needles, almost finished repackaging and labelling for easy access.Otherwise an evolving day, I have two knitting projects started, my fallbacks if I run out of positive ideas.

Good morning from a dark, gloomy E Kent.
I shall just post this and witter later, just in case someone else has started the thread in Mick’s absence.
