My daughter just got the results of her blood test back. She is post menopausal and will be 50 next week. I can remember the day she was born and the day her baby was born, 24 years ago.

My daughter who died aged twenty would have been 75 this year. My son is 73 and my three grandchildren are over fifty"

My mum's eldest is nearly 70! She just can't take it in. 😅

jenni123 Sat 28-Jan-23 14:48:12

My eldest will be 63 in June and my youngest will be 52 in July, there are 2 more in between them.

Bluecat Sat 28-Jan-23 14:46:10

Our eldest will be 45 on Thursday. Unbelievable. In my head, she's in her early 20s and our youngest is about 18. In reality, the latter will be 37 in June. Where did the time go?

Thisismyname1953 Sat 28-Jan-23 14:31:07

I will be 70 in May, my DD will be 50 in August , with my 2 DSs hot on her heels!
DS1 was 48 in December and DS2 will be 47 in March . They were all grown ups by the time I was 50!

One of my many great children told me a story that made me gawf out loud. She is 15 and said her boyfriend wanted to “well you know g.gran” ( I did)
“Well” she carried on telling me”I thought how proud you looked in that photo of you heading the 4th generation and he asked me then to remember what I was thinking and feeling so I told him what I was thinking. About you holding the 5th generation baby and he just got up and made a mug of coffee and has been less interested since!”

Janetashbolt Sat 28-Jan-23 13:21:45

I was saying this at work, I only feel my age when I think about how old my chidlren are (41 & 37). I don't know how I had them as in my head I'm about 25, although my knees are 70

My first is also 50 this Easter incredible. She is having a much better life than I did, I am so pleased for her.

Amalegra Sat 28-Jan-23 13:00:42

My baby boy is 30 shortly, my girls 33 and 34 respectively. I too was an ‘elderly prima gravida’ hence why they are so close in age! I can live with that but my granddaughter is a TEENAGER this year and that is just weird! Where does time go indeed?!

Coco51 Sat 28-Jan-23 12:59:17

DD turned up in a pair of Hotter boots - saying she’s officially old! She’s 42. Worse, my eldest GS is 21 in April eeek!

Kipper1953 Sat 28-Jan-23 12:37:24

I will be 70 in March. I don’t feel or look 70!
My mum who will be 91 next month can’t believe she has a daughter this age. 🤣🤣

Bijou Sat 28-Jan-23 12:36:13

My daughter who died at age 20 would have been 75 this year. My son is 74 and my three grandsons are all over 50.

Over 50 year old children and grandchildren at University did for me. Wonderful feeling of achievement on all sides but mainly living to see it all take place.

Juicylucy Sat 28-Jan-23 12:23:00

I know my eldest was 50 in November we had big girly weekend away in Manchester. Shocking where the years have gone.

Nellietheelephant Sat 28-Jan-23 12:17:42

My beautiful daughter is 47 - what?? I wish I'd had more.

harrigran Sat 28-Jan-23 12:05:46

DD is 54 in a few weeks but I was a young mother grin

Yammy Sat 28-Jan-23 12:05:09

MawtheMerrier

Our little boy would have been 50 this year.
I often find myself wondering, and imagining what he would have been like

I feel for you. I had two DDs in 18 months and was told no more by the doctors.
I often wonder what if I had had a boy would he have been different to the two girls would he have been more caring of my feelings like my little grandson is of his mum?
'To have seen them and have known them must be so hard.
All my sympathies and anyone else in the same position.flowers
